1. Paladins is now Free on Nintendo Switch
Paladins: Champions of the Realm is a hero shooter game, similar to Overwatch, that came to the Nintendo Switch last month. 2. World of Warcraft’s First Raid in New Expansion Available September 4th
World of Warcraft expansions are incredibly exciting times and we are quickly approaching Battle for Azeroth’s release. While the new expansion releases on August 14th, it will be three weeks before the first raid actually opens up. This is to provide players ample time to level and gear up before they race to be the first ones to kill things. If it wasn’t for the three-week buffer period, we would see some incredibly unhealthy habits from the most competitive players. The new raid is called Uldir and it opens up on September 11th.
3. Fortnite may be Getting a Wall-Piercing Sniper Rifle
While nothing is confirmed, several Fortnite leakers are reporting on the next weapon coming to battle royale and it is intimidating to say the least. The Heavy Sniper Rifle will apparently be able to penetrate the first wall it hits. This will provide players will even more tools to use against strong builders, which has been a controversial topic among Fortnite players recently. If these leaks are true, the Heavy Sniper Rifle could come as early as next week.
4. No Man’s Sky Hits 40,000 Concurrent Players with NEXT Update
If you asked us a few months ago we would’ve told you No Man’s Sky was a dead and gone game. Luckily for fans of the series, we may have been wrong. The studio behind the game is seriously focused on improving the experience they provide their players, and NEXT was a huge step in the right direction. The update introduced multiplayer, a highly requested feature, among several other improvements. 40,000 concurrent players may not seem like a lot when compared to PUBG at its peak, but it is twice as many players as No Man’s Sky’s last expansion brought in.

2. Fortnite Summer Skirmish Week 2 Tournament
Last week marked the first Summer Skirmish, a new series of Fortnite tournaments with big cash prizes, and it was a disaster. This week looks much more promising though, as the solo format rewards players for playing more aggressively. You’ll be able to watch your favorite Fortnite streamers participate in the Summer Skirmish today at 2 pm PT. Players will play 10 solo games where they will earn points for kills and wins. The player with the most points in their 10 games will receive $60,000 USD and players will also receive $10,000 for each game with 20 or more kills.
3. No Man’s Sky to Begin Free Weekly Updates
Most people you ask would tell you No Man’s Sky is a dead game, but don’t tell the developers that. Hello Games is releasing a huge update for No Man’s Sky called NEXT that introduces, among other things, four-player multiplayer, third-person perspective, and character customization. Immediately following the update on July 24th, the studio will start weekly updates to bring free community events to their game. While this sounds promising, we’ll have to wait and see if it actually brings anyone back to the game.
4. Hearthstone is Getting Another Crazy Legendary Minion
Hearthstone expansions usually have 1 or 2 wacky legendaries. These cards frequently have highly random effects that, while not competitively viable, are usually tons of fun to play with. Let me introduce you to Whizbang the Wonderful. If you start a game with Whizbang in your deck he will replace your entire deck with a prebuilt one from a pool of EIGHTEEN different decks. You don’t know what class or archetype you’ll be playing as until you’re already in game. Whizbang the Wonderful, and the rest of the Boomsday expansion, will be available August 21st.
Also be sure to check out our brand new v1.6.0 update!

1. The Culling 2 is Shutting Down
After launching earlier this month, The Culling 2 is already shutting down. Fans of the series were upset when the team stopped supporting the first game in order to develop a sequel. The developers heard those complaints and have decided to reinvest in their original game. The Culling is getting rebooted as a free-to-play battle royale. They’re undoing all the changes they made to their original game and issuing refunds to all who purchased The Culling 2.
2. Antonio Brown Announced as Madden NFL 19’s Cover Star
The All-Pro wide receiver from the Pittsburgh Steelers has been announced as the cover star for the upcoming Madden NFL 19. Antonio Brown was recently revealed to be a 99-rated player in the game, making him the fifth cover star in the last six years to hold a 99 rating. Terrell Owens, the controversial Hall of Fame wide receiver, will be on the cover of the game’s Hall of Fame edition. Madden NFL 19 launches on August 10th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
3. Bowser Jr. is Getting Nerfed in Mario Tennis Aces
Fans of Mario Tennis Aces share at least two things in common. First is their mutual appreciate for the game and second is a communal hatred of Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr has been the strongest character in the popular tennis game since it released, and Nintendo is finally doing something about it. Bowser Jr. is getting slowed down significantly plus his return shot is getting weaker. Nintendo said they will continue tuning the balance between characters in the lead up to the big online tournament set to take place in August.
4. Fortnite Themed Funkopops Coming Soon
It was only a matter of time before this specific crossover between the two wildly popular brands took place. Coming by this year’s holiday season, Fortnite themed Funkopops are sure to sell well. A deal between Epic Games and Funko, Inc. promises to bring fans ten different product lines including the iconic figurines, keychains, and more.
5. Fear the Wolves Early Access Delayed
Fear the Wolves came to closed beta recently with mostly positive reviews. Still, there was enough negative feedback from testers that the developer Vostok Games has decided to delay their Early Access launch. Although Fear the Wolves was supposed to come to Early Access today, technical issues were the main thing leading to delay. The game will remain in closed beta for now, meaning testers will be able to continue playing and providing the developer with feedback. Fear the Wolves is still expected to come to Early Access sometime soon.

1. Sea of Thieves gets a New Free Expansion Today
Many complained about a lack of content when Sea of Thieves originally dropped, but the developers are trying the best to make up for that. They have been providing weekly events and today the second free expansion for the game drops. Cursed Sails brings skeleton ships, cursed ammunition, and a new three-crew ship to the game. There are also new cosmetics and player customization options. As always, the expansion is free to all Sea of Thieves players.
2. Bungie Accidentally Improved Quick Play in Destiny 2
A bug in a recent Destiny 2 update messed with the matchmaking system for quickplay PvP and most players are actually happy with it. Usually, quick play is supposed to use skill-based matchmaking to create balanced matches. Currently, that isn’t happening meaning games are happening faster but with wider skill ranges. These quick queue times and fast paced games are generally popular with players, so Bungie said they won’t be instantly fixing the bug.
3. Donut County Gets Late August Release Date
For those of you who don’t know Donut County, it is a unique puzzle game where you control a hole. The goal of the game is to suck up as many things as possible. The patch also introduces a new Limited Time Mode called Fly Explosives; in this mode players have access to explosive weapons and Jetpacks.

The entire game will be released at once instead of over time like the original Hitman. Hitman 2 will also include a co-op game mode called Sniper Assassin mode.
3. Valve Will Now Allow Almost Any Game on Steam
Last month, there was some controversy as Steam tried to censor ‘inappropriate’ games from their store library. The issue, which naturally arises in situations like these, is that different people have different definitions of inappropriate. Steam has decided to allow all games, except for illegal games or “straight up trolling,” as a work around. Players will have more control over what games they see, so if you don’t like a genre of game you can hide it from your store.
4. Totally Accurate Battlegrounds is a Parody Battle Royale
Totally Accurate Battlegrounds is out now and we can’t tell if it’s a battle royale or a joke. The game comes from the developer Landfall to show off their upcoming game Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Landfall as a studio is best known for ClusterTruck, another joke game where players had to jump from semi-truck to semi-truck without touching the ground. Totally Accurate Battlegrounds is free on Steam until Friday, so pick it up and check it out.
5. Paladins Confirmed for Nintendo Switch
Hi-Rez Studios announced today that Paladins will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on June 12th. Paladins is a team-based shooter, similar to Overwatch, that uses a unique card-based ability loadout system to allow one to customize how they play their character. This confirmation gives more credibility to the leak that showed Fortnite coming to Switch, as Paladins was included in the same leak. Paladins will cost 30 dollars upon launch and will be free sometime this summer.
DAY 7 YOU GET A PET
According to leaks, completing today's challenge will reward you with the epic 'Merry Munchkin' pet, here's how it looks:

Team Rumble (Squads) - "Two large teams fight for the Victory Royale in an action-packed mode where the first team to get 100 eliminations wins!"
Solid Gold (Squads) - "All weapon drops are Legendary!"
Since today makes one full week of me posting these pictures of my collection, I thought I would do something special.
Here are my gold chrome Marvel Funko Pops.
I'm sadly missing Star-Lord though, however I have everyone else to my knowledge. Star-Lord is just crazy expensive from what I've seen online and I'm waiting for a drop in price.
Seen in the photo from top left: Spiderman, Iron Man, Groot, Rocket, Ant-Man, Gamora, Black Panther, Shuri, Doctor Strange, Loki, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Hulk
Thanks for making this first week fun...ko. Okay, that was lame.

During its 2020 CES press conference yesterday, Sony revealed the logo for the upcoming PlayStation 5. The new logo follows in the footsteps of the previous PlayStation generations and is basically exactly what you would expect it to look like. This makes the PS4 the 2nd best selling console in history, behind the PS2 which sold 158 million units.

One of the things Rocket League is known for is crates and the in-game cosmetics they offer. Rocket League crates are easy to acquire, but the keys to open them cost $1 USD each (if you buy 5 or more at once.) Now that Psyonix has been acquired by Epic Games the company is choosing to move toward a more modern approach; you will be able to view the exact items you are purchasing in advance, similar to Fortnite’s Save the World mode.
3. Anthem Releases Cataclysm Update
After several delays, the Cataclysm activity is now available to Anthem players. Cataclysm was added with this week’s 1.3.0 patch. BioWare describes Cataclysm as a mode that evolves over time and encourages players to work as a team. Despite those impressive sounding goals, apparently the mode has been less than impressive to those who got their hands on it early. Update 1.3.0 also introduced tons of balance changes, which you can read about in the article below.
4. Final WoW Classic Test Run Starts Tomorrow
