What to expect in Season 7 of Call of Duty: Warzone
It’s almost that magical time once again, no not Christmas, I’m talking about a new season of Call of Duty: Warzone! December 10th seems to be the target date for this to happen though and we’ve got BIG expectations coming off the heels of the super successful Haunting of Verdansk which was just a freakin tease if you ask me. I’m thinking they’ve got something cooking to coincide with the vibes of Cold War so I’m curious how they’re going to integrate this into the upcoming season. Unfortunately, they’re being very quiet on what might be coming, so it’s up to us to speculate.
I feel like the weapons in Warzone are getting awfully stale as of late. You can dress them up in every way possible if you’d like, but at the end of the day, these guns are starting to feel too familiar. Grau this, LMG that, YAWN. People might be hating on the new Call of Duty like its name is Infinite Warfare 2, but one thing I don’t think is debatable is the guns feel great and most importantly, they feel different. Different is what Warzone needs right now as we’re approaching that point in all Battle Royale games where people are hoping for that new twist to regrip them all over again.
Do we get a new map? Is it finally gonna freaking happen? I’d like to think Infinity Ward wants us to have a good holiday season, but I don’t know if they have it in them to introduce an entire new map. There have been rumblings that the map from Blackout will make a comeback which makes a ton of sense since it’s already been designed and would really just need a slight graphical upgrade to make sense. If we are getting a map change, It’s likely going to require an absurd amount of space as usual and that’s going to be a bummer, but hell, if it regenerates a formula that seems to be getting somewhat old, it’s damn worth it. If a new map is on the horizon, I personally would want something that’s much different visually. We’ve got our sun-baked city in Verdansk, so how about something like a snow-covered city? Something with rain maybe or even weather changes? I’m sure that would be tough to stabilize online, but the thought of a weather cycle changing throughout the game would be incredible and create more variety in each game.
Can you say, permanent zombies? I mean, I hope you can, it seems like, despite the mega popularity of the zombies mode, Infinity Ward has somehow decided to pull their unique mode away from us, but I surmise that it’s just being fine-tuned for a permanent spot on this ever annoying playlist. You can expect your regular helping of Plunder, Armored Royale and god forbid more Juggernaut Royale, but maybe a new mode rears its head? Something smaller scale or maybe something more experiments like a 75 v 75 mode.
With the release of the bomb drone, it’s clear that there are more changes on the way in terms of our kill streaks and tools we will be able to use in Warzone. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that we’re bound to be getting some new toys to play with in this regard, it’s just hard to figure out what more they can give us at this time. Maybe some kind of head armor to protect against the instant death of headshots? It could be something more basic than that like some way to alter main weapons with secondary features like an AR with an grenade launcher on it for example.
This has been promised for a while, but apparently, we’re going to be getting some kind of story to go along with our experiences in Warzone, but we’ve yet to get it. The Haunting of Verdansk gave us absolutely nothing in the way of narrative despite some vague hints that these phone calls and bunkers would actually mean something at some point, but no dice there, so how they incorporate this into Warzone? My assumption is it will appear in the form of missions. Instead of Scavengers, we’re going to get something like a search and destroy, defend this spot aka pretty basic stuff that will at least switch up the gameplay as it is a little bit. It’s either something like that, or they’re lying to us and expecting us to keep following what’s become a dead-end trail.

Call of Duty: Warzone Additions and Subtractions with the release of Black Ops Cold War
Once upon a time, the gamer community was looked at as this scary, evil entity to developers. “Gamers don’t know better than us.” Was a common sentiment and games would come and go without heeding fan advice which was always strange to me because who the hell do you think is buying your product? Luckily, in 2020, the weird gets weirder as one of the newest additions to Warzone comes in the form of the bomb drone. What does the bomb drone do you might ask?
Literally that. It takes the creativity of some clever gamers and puts it right into the game, no credit is given, just a complete ripoff that I honestly didn’t even know existed until it was discovered in-game this week. Turns out this little fella isn’t really widely available unless you know where to look. The main spot this bastard of a device has appeared has been in the bunkers though and it unsurprisingly works in the exact same way the fans wanted it to work. The difference here is it feels like we’ve been punished for being creative. Sure, it’s still doable in the game, but seeing the developers just turn a fan-made dream into another pickup feels….wrong. If anything, they should’ve promoted its use in their game as a way to show people that anything is possible when it comes to creating strategy in Warzone. Instead, the addition comes off as almost like they’re ashamed to add it considering it’s so hard to find in the first place.
The other big addition lately is private matches. I’m not entirely sure of the purpose here, but Imagine if you’re trying to set a game up in large communities, say right here for example, the private match would allow you to fill the game with just the people you want to play with so you don’t have to worry about hackers and other annoyances while playing. The minimum needed to start Battle Royale is 50, Plunder Mode is 30, and Mini Royale, if it even exists still, is 24. I imagine this will be a great way to set up small scale tournaments possibly amongst friends, create Call of Duty: Warzone leagues which would create even more interest in the competitive gaming community as well as a way to just shrink the player size to create less in chaotic matches than we’re accustomed to. I think this might be the start of the Warzone starting to experiment with the option of playing multiple different game sizes. While Mini-royale is a taste of this, to me, it cuts away too much of what makes Warzone so thrilling to play. There’s very little time to scavenge and scout out the areas and it makes for a weird mix between team deathmatch and the normal Warzone formula. What I want is bigger. I want the 200 player battle royales back. To me, that always felt like the magic number when it came to a map of this size.
This might just be a gripe for me, but why the hell did they get rid of zombies? They really went through all the trouble of creating what ended up being an excellent mode, only to jettison it after two freakin weeks? My hope is that it’s getting fine-tuned for a daytime version in Warzone because it was easily the biggest adrenaline shot the game has felt in the 8 months we’ve had access to it. They couldn’t have gone through the creation of a game mode just to say screw it after one event right? RIGHT?

Easy and High IQ plays for Fun, Quick Kills in COD: Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone, although with the same map, weapons, layout, and strategy, bring in some flair each and every game due to its nature. Whether that be utilizing vehicles differently, having different quality teammates, or doing off-the-rail non-competitive things in the game make Warzone an amazing Battle Royale. When you want to win games at higher levels, keeping it simple and the fundamentals as a focus, fun high-IQ plays will be the last of your priorities. However, to spice things up a bit, here are some easy plays you can try to gain strategic advantages.
Personally, I find the C4 very useless unless it is used in a vehicle-vs-vehicle situation. When you and another team are racing towards the inner circle, or are shooting fire from across each other, the C4 can end things pretty quickly if you time the release right. However, what I like to do sometimes is to scout where enemies usually are and plant a C4 in the nearest ATV. The ATV is one of the most used vehicles in the game, and a C4 explosion in the car will usually result in a squad kill. After planting it, I usually pin the vehicle and wait for it to turn red. Then, I give it about 20 seconds to factor in the entire team to land on the vehicle and finally detonate the device. It is by far one of the best plays you can pull in the game and make things very interesting.
Another type of play that I find amusing and high-IQ is sound juking. Most of the time, we do not see enemies, but rather hear footsteps or see them on the map. Depending on the situation, sound juking can take a lot of forms. Usually, however, breaking windows does the trick. For example, when I am in a house, I melee the window, causing it to form a breaking sound. Whoever is in the area then proceeds to the window outdoors, thinking that I headed out. From there, they are out in the open for me to follow and get a kill. For this to be pulled off, however, you have to be quick on your feet and adapt to the situation. Having a high-velocity gun is huge for this kind of play, so make sure it is done swiftly.
Finally, although more common, peeking on high advantages is a great high IQ play. Usually, I do this at rooftops, when I repeatedly crouch up and down. With such a large map, seeing enemies from a distance is tough. However, by making yourself visible, there will be a lot of impulse shots from afar. These shots usually do not result in critical damage or any damage at all, but they do give you an enemy’s location pretty fast. With this, it’s up to you to asses the situation, whether to push, run away, or enter a sniping duel. This play also comes with great risk, and I only recommend it to highly coordinated teams with great accuracy. Otherwise, it’s something that you can use sparingly during a game.

Round 100 Zombies?
I finally did 100 rounds, it took 10 hours with me and my buddy. And alot of downs and revives. How long did it take you guys?
This cods campaign was really good (no spoilers)
After finally putting in a graphics card into my PC I finished this campaign and hoooooly. The first and middle parts were expected to be good (by me at least) and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the feature of using someone as a body shield, When I saw it in the trailer I didn't think it would be much but I actually ended up using it quite a bit in a pinch. What I really enjoyed was the absolute curve ball they threw at the final few missions. To say the least I really was not expecting what actually happened and I was mind blown because the last time there was a cod campaign I enjoyed this much I was playing black ops 1 and 2. I really enjoyed how they brought back optional missions. It was very interesting how it contributed to the story. All in all it was very bittersweet, which in the end is good for any game because what you expect is for the hero to prevail and not to have something still go wrong. All in all it was a good game.
