BLOODBORNE FREE FOR PS4 FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!!!!
***HEADS UP ALERT!!!!!***
There seems to be a bug in the PSN Store that'll allow you to download the game without buying it, or even adding the game to your cart! I'm literally downloading it now as I'm typing this. But the only thing it seems is that if you download the game you have to keep it installed as long as you're gonna play because it does not get added to your purchase history. So once this big is fixed and you delete the game without buying... then say bye bye! But if anyone has ever wanted to try this game but just never had the funds to pay for it, now's the perfect time! Get it while it's here now because there's only a matter of time until Sony sees this and fixes it! Just wanted to put my fellow gamers up to speed on this if any of you were interested! Spread the word! The best things in life are free and everyone in life deserves the best things.... well some of you do at least. 😐

Simon's Bowblade Idea(s)
These two have probably been thought of before, but I thought I'd still post it;
(If) You can use fire/bolt paper to add one of the 2 elemental effects onto the bowblade
Sword: Lights it on fire/shocks it, same as most other weapons that can use them
Trick Form/Bow Form: The arrow is lit on fire/shocking.
Honestly, it sucks that you can't use elemental papers on it, but I thought those were cool ideas if you were able to.
Little brother bought BB and teaching him the way of the hunters! Come join us! 👍🏻 link is in my Bio
Is the DLC worth it?
I love the Souls series and I'm thinking about replaying this game but IDK if I should get the DLC or not. Thoughts?

Which Boss Gave You The Most Grief?
I ain't gonna lie and it's a bit embarassing but on my first playthrough of Bloodborne, it was the first boss. 😂🤣
Legit though, I fucking rage so hard. 😡🤬
So post a pic of the boss that gave you guys the most grief. Hopefully, by now, it's a piece of cake. 👍
I’m happy to help anyone who needs it when going for the Platinum trophy on this great game. If you want help let me know ur Psn and I will add you.

The Complete Map of Yharnam
To this day the interconnected world of Yharnam continuously keeps blowing my mind.
I will never forget moments like when I climbed up these ladders in the forbidden woods, thinking they‘d most likely lead to a secret area with either a chest or an optional boss battle...or unlock one of those infamous shortcuts to the very beginning of the forbidden woods.
Well turns out I wasn‘t wrong with the shortcut part... but the fact that I didn‘t land at the beggining of the forbidden woods but pretty much at the very beginning of the entire game right outside Iosefka‘s clinic straight up blew my mind!
That‘s why I really appreciate someone taking the effort to create a map of Yharnam on their own.
Check it out!
The Unconventional and Most Annoying Gem Farm
So recently I’ve been playing around with Co-op and while running around, Grendel and I found that one of the absolute WORST mobs in the game has one of the best drops.
What you want to do first is to hop on down to either the Lighthouse Hut Lamp (or the Coast Lamp if you’ve defeated the Orphan of Kos) and head down the elevator.
You will then need to head down the cave that leads away from the boss arena and there you will find the mobs that we will be farming.
Yeap, Winter Lanterns. Two of them to be exact.
They have a very good chance at dropping Cursed Tempered Blood Gems but I’ve also managed to get some Poorman’s Gems and Adept Blood Gems.
What’s good about this farm is that it drops Droplet-Shaped Gems. What this means is that you can slot these gems into ANY Gem Slot regardless of the shape. They also have a chance at dropping Radial-Shaped Cursed Gems.
What this means is that you will essentially get a basic farm for all your weapons. This is obviously not better than Blood Gems from high level Chalice Dungeons. However, if you aren’t keen or not even planning to go down the exhausting route of going through different farms for different shaped gems in the Chalice Dungeons, this is your next best bet as it drops gems of equal levels to mid-high level Chalice Dungeons.
The strat to fight them is to let the first Winterlantern walk down the next cave to kill her. This is so that you don’t get mobbed by both of them at once. While killing the first, either use a Sedative or let yourself bleed out and heal yourself to max before going for the next one.
A final note: Make sure to wear high frenzy resist clothing such as the Hunters Set or Ashen Hunter Set and to always equip Eye Runes when you’re trying to farm these!
Upper Cathedral Ward in a nutshell
Yep it‘s one of those "Hey weren‘t you the one who called out Werewolves as being to easy? Here, fight 7 of them...at once!" areas.
Do you guys ever just fall into an elevator shaft thinking the elevator is there or are you normal
So apparently the BSB Arena has some clipping issues
Which DLC weapon should I use?
So after the weapon choices in the main game were not that appealing - at least to me the DLC came in with a massive bang!
I’ve only roughly spend 2 hours in the DLC but already got so many badass weapons, now I need help deciding which one to go with.
Here are my options:
In the main game the saw cleaver was my absolute favorite until after beating the Vicar, so I’m absolutely in love with the beasthunter saif, which appears to be an upgraded version of the saw cleaver.
The basic attack comes with a unique moveset, which either allows you to make a leap forward when moving forward while attacking, or dodge backwards when attacking without using the thimb stick.
In transformed mode the saif swings around dealing a massive AoE damage to anything which is in front of you!
But besides that there isn’t much more to that weapon, so will it be worth it?
Oh the Boom Hammer, what an amazing weapon!
It’s an ordinary hammer at first glance but it has the unique ability to make boom!
When transformed it adds fire damage and has a massive AoE combo.
I really like this weapon but it has a fixed attack speed in both transformation so while it does indeed deal a ton of damage it is also pretty slow, so will it be worth it?
I guess I don’t have to say a lot. It’s absolutely a fun weapon but is it really worth spending your upgrade material into it? What do you think?
And the last weapon on this list. The HMS is basically a Ludwig Holy Blade with the ability to deal ranged damage.
Sounds great on paper but I’m not sure whether it will be that usefull outside of Co-op.
What do you think?
So these were my options so far.
Of course I haven’t completed the entire DLC yet so I know there are a lot of amazing weapons that I’ve yet to discover, but for now I’d only consider the weapons on this list.
Which one should I go for?
When you casually lose 3 million blood echoes@VeloCity
No more co-op in Boss Fights!
I have sinned!
Ever since I realized how casual things can get when playing co-op, whether it is that I‘m joining another players game to farm blood echoes or the other way round.
I’ve almost never played solo anymore, however only now I start realizing the negative effects of Co-op.
So the normal loop I go through when playing solo is the following.
I get into a new level and die, I get frustrated and die more often.
I slowly start cursing my life and the game, but then I reach the boss arena and get excited, enter the boss fight....and die again.
Rinse and repeat.
However all the negative experience, all the frustration and hate immediately vanishes into thin air once I manage to perform the finishing strike on the boss.
Not only that but there‘s also that gigantic feeling of accomplishment, the joy and euphoria that lasts for the next few minutes until I start dying again and the cycle starts from the beginning.
Now with co-op things are different.
I still die and get frustrated, die again and start hating the game.
However beating the bosses in co-op is no longer a challenge, so instead of feeling accomplished there‘s just this meh feeling after beating a boss.
Only now I realize that only when beating the bosses on my own I can have that euphoria, that new energy for the next level and all, which I‘m just missing out entirely when playing co-op.
That why I determined to beat bosses on my own from now on. No more co-op, at least until I start my first ng+!
What are your experiences with co-op?
I feel like co-op should get a lot more changes.
I realized that any boss would just attack one co-operator at a time leaving the other one to do what ever he wants.
So my idea would be that with every additional co-operator the boss also get an additional moveset (a new AoE attack, or a new range attack, etc.) so Co-op becomes less of an exploit and more of an option where you have to gauge really well if you would want the additional challenge or not.
What do you think?
Who is the real first boss
Vicar Amelia. Father Gascoigne or the blood starved beast.
So this just happened...😂
So ever since I accidentally attacked Valtr he would just remain hostile and attempt to kill me everytime I tried using the elevator.
So this time I just sprinted past him and immediately got into the elevator and well...
Vicar Amelia - Boss Fight Review
The boss fight against the Vicar was my first serious obstactle I actually struggled getting past.
Of course neither Gascoigne nor the blood-starved beast were easy.
However the significant difference was that both of the bosses allowed me to stay within my comfort zone which consisted of locking onto the target and spamming parries whenever possible.
The Vicar‘s move set however seemed to perfectly counter my attack and defense patterns, leaving me terribly exposed to her attacks and ultimately pushing me out of my comfort zone resulting in a steep learning curve which helped me rethink my playstyle and eventually allowed me to improve as a player!
The Vicar‘s attack set is the most versatile in the game - at least so far.
It consists of a defensive range attack (a whirl wind caused by her slamming against the ground), a offensive range attack (she leaps forward to close a large distance between you and her) as well as several offensive close-range attacks, that will always keep you on your toes while attacking her.
Her most unique ability allows her to heal over a short period of time restoring about 20% of her health if not interrupted.
I realized very soon that my usual strategy of playing passive, parrying attacks and going for the visceral won‘t work here, simply because her massive strength denies any parry attempts.
For the first time I learned that locking onto the target horribly limits your mobility, which in this case often ends in fatal errors.
The following attempts to fight the Vicar without the lock-on-target helped me understand a lot more about my own move set, than ever before!
In the end I realized that with every attempt of beating the vicar I improved as a player as well.
As a example I used to struggle a lot with the church giants before, however once I learned to approach a combat without locking on the enemies I seemed to be alot better at beating the church giants as well!
As for strategy I once again stocked up on fire paper and molotovs.
The secret to success seemed to be to attack from behind, although she could counter with a quick turnaround, in which case you should take to your heels and roll out of her range of attacks.
All that of course is only possible when NOT being locked on target so this is absolutely a must for this fight.
Her healing technically can be countered by an item called numbing mist, however I was really sad to see that once again molotovs worked far to well.
Not only do they interrupt the healing animation, but they deal damage on top which really made it to easy to punish her.
In the end the vicar is a state of the art boss, which I‘d really hope to see more of in the future.
I‘d like to move away from ranking her difficulty here, of course she was terribly difficult to beat, but what counts far more for me here is the fact that the vicar was the only boss that taught me how to get better in Bloodborne and I’m confident that the lessons I learned from her will help me with the next bosses to come.
Therefore I‘d rate her 9.5/10.
I‘d be a 10/10 but the fact that molotovs once again works far to well, although there was a unique item that appeared to be added just for this boss fight, makes no sense and is really unfortunate.
(This doggo nailed the Vicar Amelia cosplay☝🏻😅)
