Meet Pocket Bravery, a Brazilian pixel art fighting game

The game catches the attention of gamers with the demo version and fans organize tournaments on their own.   Pocket Bravery is a Brazilian 2D fighting game based on classics from the 90s, such as Street Fighter and The King of Fighters. Its release date is scheduled for the second half of 2022, but the game is already successful among the gamer community because of the demo version, which is available on Steam. The ge spoke with Jonathan Ferreira, one of the creators of Statera Studio, developer of Pocket Bravery, about expectations for the official release, in addition to the competitive mode of the game.   See more: https://pixelart123.de/   Pocket Bravery will be released on PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. You can check out the demo version here .   Revealed in 2020, Pocket Bravery uses the retro aesthetics of fighting games and has received a lot of support from the community with the demo version. At its official launch, the game will have 11 characters, in addition to Arcade modes, VS Mode, Training, Online and an original game mode called Combo Maker, which will allow new players to learn combos.   The good reception of the public with the demo excites Jonathan Ferreira, one of the creators of the game, who highlights the team's effort, but does not deny that there is still work to be done. Even before Pocket Bravery's official release, the game's fan community is already organizing unofficial tournaments.   - We are extremely happy with the reception of the public. So, seeing that they are playing even without an online mode implemented, they are moving around, organizing themselves and doing tournaments, brings a joy, a great satisfaction, right? Shows that the job is being done well. It's obvious that there's still a lot to be done, we're implementing the characters little by little, according to our work pace, the number of people we have on the team... But it's a joy, an immense satisfaction to see that the public is enjoying it, you know. ? - Jonathan commented.   As for the official tournaments, the co-creator reinforced the importance of the community at the beginning and talked a little about his dream of holding a Pocket Bravery circuit in the future. In addition, he confirmed that the game will be in the "Treta Championship", esports events in the category of fighting games.   - What we expect and count a lot are the tournaments that people are already organizing and, from the official ones, those that are not their own events, such as the “Treta Championship”, which has already said that our game will be participating, among some other events that have also talked to us. We would also love to be able to have our own Statera circuit, to be able to travel around Brazil and, who knows, around the world…. Anyway, we have an idea, but we still can't think of any of that, because of the financial resources - he added.   Pocket Bravery has a wide variety of scenarios, most of which are based on real places. One of them is Parque Lage, a park located in Jardim Botânico, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, which has two versions in the game: one during the day and one at night. So far, this is the only scenario inspired by Brazil, but the presence of another iconic Brazilian place has already been confirmed.   - I can't speak yet, because otherwise it's a spoiler, but we're going to have one more scenario in Brazil. It is possible to have other scenarios of iconic places, as was the case with Parque Lage. Over time, we will feed the game with new characters, new music and new scenarios as well. So, yes, it is certainly possible to have more iconic places in Brazil, maybe even in the world - revealed Jonathan.
