I think I read a comment on 2*hp cores, they do seem to pop up now and then ,what does the hp do?

I think the schpeel was on an attack or def one being money But this one seems interesting andow probability roll for amp and match for type the. 2*hp I know it increases hp but it's it a set amount per trait like 500 or 1k hp per hp trait?

I may slap it on a tank or supporter if I read the discussions correctly

HP increases by 1000 a pop. If this were amp def, it'd be solid for any defender/debuffer/supporter. amp agl doesn't affect hit rate, mostly skill dmg and weak point dmg, so not that useful on anything other than attackers.

EDIT: I wouldn't put this core on anyone btw, I would use it as fodder. Didn't mean to confuse anyone with usage recommendation

This is a solid core for 3/4☆ support when paired with SC giving def to make up for missing ADef on core.

Yeah, HP increases by 1000 a pop (ignition level).

It means HP can be increased by 3000 per core.

Or +6000 HP for double HP core.

That's a lot, especially for PvP, or RBurst supporter...

I asked this question a while ago, but I've always been curious if there is a law of diminishing returns for adding Amp Def to defenders, and if hp would actually be better. I have no idea though.

It depends from many factors, for example from child to child, if vs PvP or vs WB/Ragna… etc.
I think a Def core with 2x HP can help all non attackers, but maybe a specific child will perform better with a Def core with 2x Def (or HP + Def)…

    Other examples:
    - Dana will generate barriers so a Def core with 2x Def may be better for her
    - For defenders that will apply reflect for self or Taunt will be helpful a Def core with 2x HP to tank all hits.

To answer your question, yes, after a certain amount more Def doesn't matter much. I remember asking this very early on in my DC career. Someone actually gave my an ACTUAL number that's its kinda pointless to go beyond, but I don't remember what it was, sorry.
