    I already knew she was a sick pup but the ending of this story kind of ended abruptly... like she found her owner and now what?! I want to know how she feels!!!

    I'm pretty sure the ending is meant to convey that Neptune doesn't tell Cera anything. She realizes that their "hard work pays" mentality is what made her successful, and she wants to see it pay off for Cera too. Confessing to being her former puppy would distract Cera from reaching her goal.
