I'm certain it's word play. As you can see in the previous sentence, it's yes and no, or nes and yo.

This game has some good writers and translators, but personally I feel this narration is not up to par with some of the others. This part here was the only part that caught my attention.I think the nes and yo part was purposely said that way, though I could be wrong. Mainly from the 'uncertainty' or 'choas' or whatever you call it from her story till then. Like a furthering of the likely/unlikely statement in your screencap. Could be wrong but that's what I thought. As for the mayo part, maybe a typo, not a clue.
