Pillaging Peril!

There you are in the Andromeda stellar system minding your own business when suddenly you receive a notification. Did your fleet finish their mission? Or maybe your research has finally completed? No… something isn’t right.

You’re about to be pillaged! Annihilated is one matter but pillaged is far worse for the resource scavenger such as yourself! How are you going to level up your Command Post if someone steals all your precious materials?

Well, now is the time to take action. There is little time left and you need to be prepared. But what should you do?

Option 1: Defend Your Loot
Before we take any immediate means of action maybe it’s worth considering who you’re defending against right? The only way to be pillaged is to have your defenses breached, meaning that if you have a defensive fleet powerful enough you’re safe! Make sure you have your best fleet defending your mothership to ensure the upmost security.

Of course, you might not be so lucky. Maybe the no-good pillager is significantly more powerful than you. Damn those early players! No chance of defending your turf? Well there’s another option:

Option 2: Shopping Spree?
Can’t steal what’s already spent right? Maybe take a moment to see what you can spend your resources on. Chances are there’s something you haven’t researched just yet. Or maybe there’s some ships/crew members that could use some upgrades? In any case there’s bound to be something for you to upgrade, purchase or discover. Sure, it might not be what you were saving up for, but now you’ve spent all that hard-earned resources for yourself! Not to mention you’re not giving away all your money to your enemy 😉

Okay but what do you do if you don’t have anywhere to spend your money? Well there’s still one more option for you:

Option 3: Bounce Outta the Planet
Did you know that leaving the planet you’re on cancels the attack? This works for annihilation too! Sometimes running away from your problems really is the best course of action. Just choose another planet in the system to enter and arrive there before your enemy pillages you. If you choose a location and deploy fast enough, you can evade your problems. Assert your lack of dominance!

Unfortunately, the last option only works if you have enough time to evade. If you don’t well… you’re gonna have to say good bye to that hard earned money. On the plus side you can always pillage some other people to make up for your losses! Unethical? Maybe. But it’s a Pirate’s life for me!

Get Rich Quick in Rogue Universe

Pirates be warned. The roads to riches isn’t for the feint of heart. If you strive to become the richest pirate in the system, it will take more than the occasional mission completion or item drop. You’ll need to know the ins and outs of this universe. Where to loot, what to research and whom to pillage are just the basics of your quest. Lucky for you, this guide will make your rise to the top just a little bit easier (but not too easy) …

The Daily Grind

You know those daily quests that give you rewards for completing different tasks? Easy stuff like completing missions, reinforcing ships and recruiting crew members? Well, don’t forget to cash in on those! Not only do they give you some super important Honor points, but they also give you a constant feed of resources which you can rely on daily.
But that’s only the start. Weekly quests deliver a huge reward as your level progresses. They may require more of a grind to unlock, but boy, are they worth it. Later, chests reward you with huge lump sums of resources which you can’t afford to miss out on. Plus, if you’re earning daily quests, your progress encourages the weekly chests too. So what are you waiting for? Go make that bread!

Journey to Riches

Rogue Universe allows players to take any path they choose. You can join any guild (or create your own!) and conquer any system in the galaxy. The standard way of attaining resources is through missions, which all vary in difficulty. But there is always the opportunity to complete specific objectives through the form of your “Journey”.

Your Journey objectives parallel to your own mothership's progression. The quests should be feasible based on your time played and mothership level. In other words, you shouldn’t have too much difficulty completing them if you concentrate on doing so. But most importantly, completing these objectives nets you a large sum of resources; a sum that increases as you complete more and more objectives. By that logic, it makes sense to continue your journey whenever possible right?

Bank on the Zurich Bank
How often do you check your reputation shop? Not often? Well you should! The reputation shop is where you benefit from your hard-earned reputation points with the 3 factions. Between the three factions, Zurich Bank are always willing to trade you for resources. The price isn’t steep and can net you a large sum of gold, material or fuel.

If you want to trade for some of the rarer items, you’ll need to bump up your reputation level. That means you need to prove yourself worthy to the Zurich Bank (or the other factions). The usual way to do so is by completing missions for the factions in the missions’ menu. Completing the right missions provides you with reputation points that you can trade at each faction!

Pillage!!!

Finally, the absolute path to riches. The best way to get rich in Rogue Universe? Pillaging. Why work for your loot when you could steal it from others right? You might even steal from someone that read this guide!

Am I saying that you should steal from others hard earned loot? Pfft no of course not… I’m just saying that the fastest way to gain riches is to steal it from others… Just a thought, right? After all, pillaging is your right as a pirate!
Imagine, someone else right now might be reading this guide and gaining more resources. And once they’ve made their riches, you pillage all their hard work for yourself! It’s almost like they were working for you all along. Sure makes you think…

I hope this guide gives you some ideas for gaining riches in Rogue Universe. Start the new year off right with some new-found wealth for your crew!

Best Research Upgrades in Rogue Universe

Hello Gamers! There are tons of helpful upgrades available to research in Rogue Universe. While all of them are beneficial, some of these upgrades are significantly more helpful the earlier you research them. This article will pinpoint which upgrades are the best of the best to research.

Here are some suggestions for what to research first in Rogue Universe!

Management: Research Cost and Research Time
These upgrades are immediately available for players to research. They don’t take a long time to complete (They both have 5 levels) and are quite cheap. But in the long run they save quite a bit of time and resources.
The result of leveling both upgrades to level 5 is a reduced cost and increased speed in research of 25%. For later upgrades which may take thousands of gold and hours to complete, these upgrades will be much appreciated.

Mothership: Improve Fleet Organization

Fleets are used in Rogue Universe for missions, Mothership defense and battling other players. The fleet sizes begin at two ships, meaning that you can place two ships in a single fleet. However, the “Improve Fleet Organization” upgrades increase your fleets maximum capacity.
This upgrade is a three-part system. Each upgrade will increase the maximum size of your fleet by one. The final of the 3 upgrades gives you the max fleet size of 5 ships. They upgrade become available around mothership levels 1, 6 and 12. Research them ASAP to increase your fleets success!

Mothership: Reinforcement Slot

Reinforcing ships is one of the most effective ways of increasing your total power. We all start off with two reinforcement slots to buff our ships. But with the reinforcement slot upgrade, you can upgrade three ships at a time. This research upgrade unlocks around level 15, which may take some time to reach. But once you do its totally worth it!

Main Ship: Aegis Blueprint

The Aegis is a powerful Main Ship. While it’s available late into the game, it’s still one that players should prioritize. Despite the research duration and cost to build the ships, the Aegis will inevitably become a staple in fleets due to its durability and strength in battle. Don’t forget to upgrade the Aegis further with “Increase Main Ship’s Defense II ” and “Increase Main Ship Cruising Armor II .”

Management: Increase Mission Rewards

You’ll most likely be completing a lot of missions while you’re playing Rogue Universe. Why not maximize your returns? This research upgrade increases your mission rewards (from successful missions) by 5%, up to a total of 25% once you reach level 5.
This is a research upgrade that is available around level 8. It may cost a bit to upgrade but it is an investment that pays for itself the more missions you complete.

Hopefully these upgrades will give you a boost throughout your adventuring in Rogue Universe. Don’t forget to shout out to us @RogueUniverseKr if you have any comments or concerns!
