My horse and I just flew like 5 miles above the sky
I was just on my way back from hunting, and suddenly the game sent us to the sky for like 30 seconds or so and we died ,crashing to the ground afterwards.I wish I could have taken a photo, but I was just so surprised to take any actions. Probably the most mindblowing bug I've experienced so far.
[SPOILER] Red Dead Redemption Remaster DLC?
"Great news then, as a newly discovered glitch seems to imply that we might well be getting a Red Dead Redemption remaster as DLC within RDR2."
From Youtuber Elemeno Peah, a glitch was found which could possibly lead us to believe that there is going to be a remastered version of Red Dead Redemption as DLC. Interestingly enough, the voice of grown up version of Jack Marston could be heard from the video, and considering that we are to play as Jack at the end of the first game, an adult version of him could be included in RDR 2 somehow in the future whether in the form of RDR remastered or original content.
Also from another video, by using a glitch, players could visit New Mexico which is an area very much exclusive to the first game. Could this mean we're getting a remastered Red Dead Redemption? Nothing officially has been confirmed as of now, and it's better not to judge upon rumors; however, I can't deny that it's going to be an awesome expansion for all players if it ever finds out to be true.
Ideas for more online content
It seems to me that a lot of people playing RDO have trouble enjoying it as it's still in the beta and lacks content. I myself have thought the same and came up with ideas for possible modes to add more colors to the game. I'm also submitting these to Rockstar so as to let them know I have ideas.
1. Fist fight only mode
I've seen quite a lot of players having a fist fight in a bar and thought why doesn't Rockstar make an actual mode with fist only restriction that gives out rewards for winners? There already are fist fights happening here and there, but they're usually unexpectable. It's not exactly something we can actually look for whenever we want to.
2. The bigger, the better
This is a mode dedicated for hunters in Red Dead Online. The objective is simple. In a given area, regardless of the species, you receive different points depending on the size of the animal you hunt. All weapons are allowed except for explosives as it's possible to earn multiple points by killing multiple animals at once which would ruin the fun for some players.
3. Treasure hunt
By entering this mode, you're allowed to access only a certain part of the full map, and you have to collect as many treasures as you can in given time. Treasures will be deployed randomly, and each player will be given photographs of each treasure's location which will be the only evidence that will lead them to victory. Also, it's possible to steal other players' treasures by killing and looting. A player with the most treasures wins the match.
What do you guys think?
Does having an ssd make any difference in RDO?
For sure, an ssd can significantly improve the loading time while playing in singleplayer story mode, but I wonder if it has any effect when you're playing online especially with other players. I mean, the loading time should decrease by a lot when you choose to play free roaming, but what about the showdown series? I thought there'd be a comparison video about it somewhere in Youtube, but all I got from searching was comparison videos for the story mode. Does anyone have an answer to this? I'm considering an ssd and in need of help.
Rockstar patched the economy, yet it takes tremendous amount of time to buy all purchasables
I'd like to agree with what's stated on reddit that "nobody even wants all items." For me, personally, I don't have a thing for grinding for XP and money. I usually hop on fishing or joining a showdown series with friends just for the sake of having fun. Because I tend to think the grinding takes all the fun out of the game, I'm happy with what comes along with less grinding but more fun.
POPULARRudolph You're out! RDO with Santa Claus
Hohoho, citizens of Moot! How is Christmas season treating y'all? As many of you can already tell, my name's Santa Claus, and I'm a magical old fella who brings jollyful gifts at this time of year! And I'm back for more adventures here in Red Dead Online! Do I not look fancy today? Well, you see, I received some cash and gold bars as a gift from Rockstar the other day, and I thought to myself, why don't I spend this for myself instead of buying gifts for others for once? After all, Santa wants gifts as much as others do, you know😄 So I got myself a fancy hat and a jacket! Why am I not at work, you say? Christmas is less than two weeks away, and Santa's gotta rest easy before the real job begins. As I've told you before, we're going out for some hunting with Rudolph today! Sounds exciting, doesn't it? Without further ado, let the hunt begin!
Hohoho! Hey there, Rudolph! You seem awfully energetic today.
Argh... Would you mind slowing down a little bit, old friend? You see, I'm getting on in years these days, and the pain from Lumbago is literally killing me if you know what I mean😉
WTF, Rudolph? That does it! I've had it with you and your goddamn attitude. The hunting's over, and I'm gonna look for a new partner for this Christmas! You're fired, Rudolph. Don't ever let me see you in North Pole again.
....But you gotta stay here until I find a new partner because that's what the contract says. If you don't want a million dollar lawsuit, you better freaking listen to what I say fella.
Hey, I see an elk up ahead. Maybe I can tame it and teach it to be the new Rudolph. A Rocky Mountain Cow Elk, huh? I'll call him Rocky Balboa😂
Come to Papa! Rocky!
Huh? I can't break and tame an elk? Welp, I guess I've got no choice but to end this poor fella's life🙁 What's that? You're asking me why I didn't just release it? Well, Santa's gotta eat too, you know. Food just doesn't make itself out of thin air, you dummies🤣
Umm... Roasted elk meat...Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Wanna have a bite, Rudolph? Huh? You don't like eating meat? You're a herbivore? What the hell's a herbivore? You clearly don't know what you're missing.😕
Now that I've taken care of that, let's look for more potential candidates!
And now's the CHANCE!!!
What the!? I can't tame a deer either? Then what exactly the hell can I do in this game?🤣 I guess this is going to be my snack for this winter. You can't go wrong with some perfectly cooked venison jerky after all😉
Oh hey! A bunch of wolves up ahead. Maybe I can ask them to be my partner. I can form a team of wolves with an awesome looking sled. How cool would that be?
Hey fellas! Care to join me to the North Pole? We've got elves, gifts, polar bears and everything! I'm sure you guys will like it! It'll be like Tahiti island, except that it's going to be hella COLD!
HEY! That's not very nice. If you don't like the cold weather, just say so. Let's just talk.
Do you really have to do this?
This is not going to end well for y'all🤠
Ballocks! I've killed them all! Now what do I do...
Well, I'm out of ideas. Wanna partner up and ride with me again, boah? You know what they say, "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't." Kinda ironic that it's coming out of Santa's mouth, isn't it?😈
That's it for today, folks! Just remember, do not try to have a word with wolves. They can be bitchy sometimes, and they taste nowhere as good as beef. Umm... Beef... I'd kill for some grilled t-bone steak. Next time, we're setting off to have some fun at the Showdown Series😉
Which game has better horse related experience?
These three games depend on horses to move from one place to another, and I want your opinions on which of these games offers best horse related content. Of course, rdr 2, being the latest game with realistic details and all, probably is the closest one to the real life experience. However, Both BotW and SotC offer unique riding systems of their own and as well as similar features to that of rdr 2 such as horse taming and bonding from BotW and calling your horse from SotC. Also, some of the horses from these games already have well-established identities such as Epona from The Legend of Zelda series and Agro as herself from the game, making players more attached to their uniqueness.
Who was the friendliest gamer you've met in rdo?
It's not hard to find hostile gamers in Red Dead Online, but friendly strangers are quite hard to come by as most of the time, cooperating is not a viable survival strategy, and you're foced to compete against others. There was one time I had been chased by a bunch of assholes for no reason, and a guy(I don't know exactly, but the player had a male character) who saw me getting bullied, helped me get out of the situation. I wish I could given him cash or items to thank him, but there were no means to do so; therefore I waved him to express my gratitude. Have you guys been in a similar situation? If so, let's share stories.😉
