Moot War to Save Moot
This post is mostly to get in contact with Admins.
Mooters and Mods, I need you to do all you can to spread this to Admins. Mods I want you to spread it to the mod squad discord server and ping the admins. Mooters I want you to copy the link of this post and post it.
Let's start this post shall we...
•MODERATION CHANGES•
1) Add hardware and/or IP bans
These seriously need to be added, especially hardware bans. Bots/Mooters going against the content policy continuously and then getting banned and making a new account has been a huge problem for the longest time. This is the best solution to that problem.
2) Mod changes
There NEEDS to be more applications and more frequently. The size of the current mod squad is very limited to being able to moderate especially with the size of moot. I also think that mods should be expected to delete at least 1 post a month/week (whatever you decide) unless excused. If not they get warned and eventually kicked if they dont do at least one, again unless they are excused
3) Blocking
When blocking a user you will still see their posts. Change this so that if I block someone I cant see their posts
4) Monthly check up from moot
It doesnt necessary need to be monthly, maybe every other month. I just want admins to be engaged in the community and ask what mooters what for future updates.
5) Address 7r6 and other monetary grab links
I'm sure you guys already know about this problem. I think this links with hardware/ip banning. If you want to solve the problem that is the best way. Also, note to mods, if you search 7r6[period]com then you will see all the posts with that link and do a massive deleting spree.
6) Make me a Mod
I know what I did in the past was wrong, but we need to move past that and realize that we cant save moot without being inside the system and interacting with admins on a regular basis. Make me a mod, you wont regret it 🙂
•DISCOVERY TAB CHANGES•
1) add "my feed" to discovery tab
This will make navigating moot more simple and will add all the stuff users use on a regular basis in one place.
2) "Featured Creators"
These creators that you guys hand selected have nothing interesting about them. They already can be found very easily and them being here just makes it not feel like a discovery tab. I want mooters of all kinds being acknowledged so people can find them easily and make mooters grow and feel apart of the community.
3) Add lounges to Discovery tab
I think if you put the Lounges in here so people can pin them easily. I think rank them in popularity and also have a "New" tag on the ones that are new. This shouldn't take up much space, make it a slider that you can slide through and see all the Lounges in one place or something
4) Profile Introductions
This will add more personality to mooters making them more interesting. People will be able to make a 30 second video introducing themselves. These will be put on the discovery tab to allow more accessibility to helping mooters grow and let them stick out more.
•BIG FIXES/LFG CHANGES•
1) After making an LFG the user should be notified if another LFG meets there settings
2) When pressing "Join" on the LFG page it doesnt bring you to the group message
3) After making an LFG and someone joins it doesnt automatically bring you to group message
•OTHER CHANGES•
1) Remove Q&A
Q&A is just extra moderation struggle, that's literally all it is. It's also a waste of space, if someone has a question they can post about it.
2) Remove "chats" from lounge homescreen
Chats already have it's own tab in every lounge and they are just taking up space in the homescreen. Remove them from the homepage and leave them in the "Chats" tab of every lounge
3) Increase lvl cap to 50
Just do it...
4) Purple Notifications
I at least want the option to switch between red and purple. Please 🙏
5) Increase comment limit
When I comment too frequently it says "you're commenting to frequently try again later", I think this is great, but it's too little. You'll comment like 5 times and it will say that. Increase the amount of comments you can do without having to wait
6) Option to change moot url
People can change their moot username so why not their url?
7) Old Notifications
We want the bell icon back, messages and notifications dont feel like they should be together. If you do this, you must put "My Feed" into the discovery tab.
8) Add "Most liked" back for all lounges
I can't imagine how many mooters have been robbed of having their post on the home page of Lounges because this was removed. Comments shouldn't be the only measure to pin posts to a lounge. Add back most liked...

Time for Me to Say Goodbye
Dear Moot Community,
Today is my last full day working for Moot.
Over the past three-plus years, I have given everything I have to make sure Moot was a great platform for all gamers. Unfortunately, that will no longer be my responsibility. I am not entirely sure what will happen to Moot moving forward but I wish the product and everyone on the team the best of luck moving forward.
Thank you to everyone who has made my time here special. I have made some great friendships and unforgettable memories in the process.

Have you seen this lounge? This is a shitshow!
Admins, you can not look at this lounge and say this is alright. We have bots around here left and right and the Mods cannot find them all. They are just everywhere. And Team Moot has stayed silent to people who may have pressed these links thinking its safe. Team Moot has not once posted about this, and these links are annoying to see.
A nice example of this is the Among Us lounge. Here are some links using one domain, 7r6. I can guess Mods are gonna come here and sweep up the post and call it a day, which is good but Admins should actually look at these posts and tell me if its alright. Because its not. And I haven't heard a word and no one else either.

Half of these posts are about Among Us. We need a Mod for this lounge. We need a Mod for Among Us. Team Moot needs to make a posts explaining what is going on, and pin it. Remove any redirecting link keywords. Finally, my last suggestion.
Make an official Moot account that people can report any kind of off or bot accounts. If someone can anonymously report a bad post and it gets deleted, they should get 100 moot coins. A user? 150. Personally, for me it wouldn't be anonymous. If a post is off, it gets reported to a mod. Shoutout to ORex and Abravo.

3. Dead Cells Update
Dead Cells just got a new update bringing some holiday cheer to the game. Described as “little stocking fillers,” the update gives players 2 new outfits as well as a cosmetic option which turns all the food in the game to cheese. On the non-cosmetic side of things, the heavily-requested katana weapon has finally been released and it enables players to chain a standard slash with a dashing charge attack. Last but not least, the update also makes some changes to the Malaise effect with the developers saying, “We're aiming to give a cycling nature to the mechanic, with a Malaise that should stay in-between 3 and 7 during most of the run (except for boss fights).”
4. Overwatch Free Access
Overwatch is currently free to play as a holiday gift from Blizzard. Although the game has had free weekends in the past, this free access event is much longer and will last a full 2 weeks. During the free access period the game will also be on sale at $20 for the Legendary Edition and $15 for the Standard Edition. Overwatch free access is set to run from now until January 4.

The Daily Moot: Stardew Valley 1.5
1. Stardew Valley 1.5
Stardew Valley just got a massive new update providing “the biggest solid chunk of new content that's been added to the game since launch.” The update is mostly focused on late-game content and adds new quests, characters, items, farm types and much more. Aside from content, the update also brings in some new features including split screen local co-op. Stardew Valley 1.5 is live now on PC and is expected to come to consoles “early next year.”
2. Cold War Multiplayer Free Access
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer is currently free to play for a limited time. Players will be able to enjoy all of the game’s stage 1 modes and playlists including the more unique game modes like Prop Hunt and Fireteam Dirty Bomb. The multiplayer free access week is set to run from now through Christmas Eve. You can check out the trailer for season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War below.
3. Epic Freebies
Another day of freebies from Epic Games is here as part of their ongoing holiday giveaway. Today’s free game is the singleplayer survival horror game Alien: Isolation. You can grab your free copy of Alien: Isolation directly from the Epic Games Store from now until tomorrow at 8am Pacific Time.
4. Wrath: Aeon of Ruin Delayed
The full release of Wrath: Aeon of Ruin has been delayed. The upcoming first-person shooter, which pays homage to the legacy shooters of the past, will be the first game released on the original Quake engine in more than 20 years. Although the game has been available in early access for over a year now, Killpixel explained that the studio encountered significant development problems after multiple members of their team “fell ill to COVID-19.” Originally expected to launch in February, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin is now expected to arrive in Summer 2021. The Daily Moot: Cyberpunk Removed From PS Store
1. Sony Removes Cyberpunk 2077
Sony has officially removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. This news comes in response to the many players who have opted to refund the game due to its poor performance on the PlayStation 4. Sony said in their statement, “SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store [and] will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.” There’s no word yet on when the game might return to the PS Store but CD Projekt Red says they are “working hard to bring Cyberpunk 2077 back to PlayStation Store as soon as possible.”
2. Rainbow Six Siege Year One Mode
Rainbow Six Siege is celebrating its 5-year anniversary by going retro with the new Legacy Arcade game mode which pays homage to Year One. The mode presents the game exactly how it was in its first season, not just with cosmetics but gameplay as well. Only the 20 original operators are available to play in the mode and they each have their original loadouts. Furthermore, the maps have been reverted to their original appearances. 3. Next-Gen Control Release Date
Control will soon be coming to next-gen consoles. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions were originally expected to launch by the end of this year, but Remedy delayed the upgrades saying they wanted “the final quality of the game to be awesome” and required “a bit more time to work on it.” The next-gen versions of control are now set to launch digitally on February 2, with a physical edition arriving one month later on March 2. 4. Nvidia Samsung Collaboration
Nvidia has struck a new deal with Samsung designed to greatly increase supply of RTX 3000 series GPUs. It’s no secret that Nvidia’s latest graphics cards have experienced a severe supply shortage but now it looks like the company is finally trying to ease that problem. The deal, which is reportedly worth hundreds of millions of dollars, should hopefully mean that the manufacturing bottleneck won’t be nearly as bad in the future. Unfortunately however, it is unlikely that consumers will see the effects of this collaboration anytime soon, which likely means that PC players will still have to wait until at least next year to get their hands on a next-gen GPU.

1. Rainbow Six Siege Reputation System
Rainbow Six Siege has now implemented a reputation system in an effort to combat toxicity. The system is designed to reward positive behavior by punishing negative behavior such as friendly fire and communication abuse. Although each player has their own unique “reputation score” which goes up and down, it’s currently hidden and there’s no way for players to know what their score is. Ubisoft intends to expand the system saying, “We will continue to take feedback and make improvements to ensure that our system is efficient, as transparent as possible, and aligned with players’ expectations.”
2. Fortnite Unreal Engine Mod Support
Fortnite will soon be getting Unreal Engine mod support. While this may not be a big deal for most battle royale players, this is a massive feature for players who enjoy creative mode. The new feature will enable players to import custom assets and live edit maps in real time. Unreal Engine mod support is set to arrive once Fortnite transfers to Unreal Engine 5 early next year.

3. Epic Freebies
Epic’s holiday freebies are back once again. Unlike the typical Epic Freebies, the holiday event gives a new free game every single day rather than weekly. It’s important to note that each game is only available for 24 hours so it’s definitely worth revisiting every day so you don’t miss out. Today’s freebie is Cities: Skylines but the future games are all a mystery. The Epic Holiday Giveaway is set to run 15 days straight from now until the end of the year.
4. Death Stranding Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk 2077 has now come to Death Stranding. As part of a new free update, Death Stranding has implemented a host of Cyberpunk content including several missions that “feature lore and characters from Cyberpunk 2077.” Although the update is free, it unfortunately is only available on PC for the time being.
