2. Rocket League Updates 2018 Roadmap, Introduces Fortnite-Inspired Features The recently released roadmap for Rocket League has outlined a wide array of upcoming events. Competitive season 8 will start in late May with a new arena, new music, and more new goodies. Shortly after that, the RLCS World Championships will take place in London. Later, around July or August, players will get in-game friends list, presumably to facilitate cross-platform play. Finally, a new Rocket Pass system will be introduced. This will be like Fortnite’s Battle Pass, with free and premium options.
3. Minecraft Will Get Cross-Platform Gaming on the Switch Minecraft on the Switch will be getting cross-platform play with the release of Minecraft Bedrock Edition next month. The Bedrock Edition will also include access to the Minecraft Marketplace, where players can buy community creations like skins, texture packs, and maps. If you currently own Minecraft on the Switch, you will be able to download the Bedrock Edition for free when it releases. The new version of Minecraft will come to the Switch in June.
4. Streamers and YouTubers Coming Together for Fortnite Tournament Several top streamers and YouTubers will be playing in a tournament today, streaming it on their own channels. The notable exception missing from the tournament is Ninja, the biggest Fortnite personality, but a few other big names are participating. TSM Myth, GreekGod, and Logan Paul will all play in the tournament. 32 players will split into 16 duos and fight it out over two games, with the winner decided by number of kills.
