1. Fall Guys Season 3
Fall Guys Season 3 is now live. Called Winter Knockout, the third season will bring plenty of new changes to the game including the addition of the fan-voted Ringus Dingus. There are also 7 new levels, each of which has some frost-themed element like Tundra Run and Penguin Pursuit. Aside from the new content, the update also includes several bugfixes and quality-of-life improvements as well as improved graphics in certain areas. 2. Overwatch Winter Wonderland Winter Wonderland has once again returned to Overwatch. The annual winter event not only brings back Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Snowball Deathmatch, but also introduces a new game mode called Freezethaw Elimination. Freezethaw Elimination is a 4v4 showdown where players are frozen and thawed rather than killed. As always, the event will also add plenty of new cosmetics to the game with Reinhhardt, Mei, Moira, Zenyatta, and Torbjorn each getting legendary skins. 3. Hearthstone Battlegrounds Old Gods Hearthstone Battlegrounds just got a huge update changing several aspects of the game. Most notably, the game mode now includes spells which can be acquired every 4 turns during the prize round. Aside from the new spells, the update also brings 3 new heroes to Battlegrounds: C’Thun, Y'Shaarj, and N'Zoth. Blizzard is also giving away some holiday freebies to all players who log in between now and January 18, including 500 gold and 5 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs. 4. Spelunky 2 Multiplayer Spelunky 2’s online multiplayer is finally live on PC. Originally expected to be included when the game launched in September, the mode was delayed following complications on PS4. It’s important to note that the mode is still considered to be in beta on PC, and Developer Mossmouth says that the next few months will be spent refining the system and eliminating bugs. 5. EA Play Xbox Game Pass Postponed The implementation of EA Play into the Xbox Game Pass has been postponed. Originally expected to launch today, Microsoft explained that they “need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience” fans have come to expect of the service. Unfortunately, neither Microsoft nor EA provided a new concrete date for the collaboration, merely saying, “We made the decision to delay until 2021.”
