The multiplayer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has officially been revealed. Treyarch provided a significant sneak peek of the game mode today, showing off new maps, guns, and a completely revamped killstreak system. Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer will have “cross-progression” with the game’s Warzone mode, interacting in a similar manner to how the Warzone currently works with Modern Warfare. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is slated to launch on November 13; you can check out the multiplayer reveal trailer below.

  2. Apple Launches Countersuit Against Epic   Apple has launched a countersuit against Epic Games in retaliation for Epic’s ongoing lawsuit against Apple. Apple’s countersuit claims that Epic has profited “as a direct result of Apple's investments” in the App Store and is seeking “compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorney’s fees, and interest.” Furthermore, in response to Epic’s lawsuit, Apple’s countersuit asserted that “Apple is not a monopolist of any relevant market” and that Epic’s claims hold no ground. The case between Epic and Apple is set to resume on September 28.

  3. Assassin's Creed Valhalla Launching Early   It looks like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be arriving sooner than expected. Originally expected to launch on November 17, it seems that Ubisoft decided to move the date up a bit in order to better coincide with the launch of the Xbox Seres X and S. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now set to arrive on the same date as the next-gen Xbox consoles: November 10.

  4. EA Play Coming to Xbox Game Pass   EA Play will soon be coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. EA Play, which is EA’s own game subscription service, will be added free of charge, bringing more than 60 additional games to the Xbox Game Pass library. No specific date for the merger has been announced yet, but players can expect it to happen sometime during the holiday season of this year. You can check out the announcement video for the collaboration below.

  5. Madden Free Weekend   Madden NFL 21 will be free this weekend in order to celebrate the return of Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick has been absent from the Madden series since 2017 as the quarterback has controversially not played in the NFL since 2016. Although Kaepernick remains unsigned by an NFL team, he is making his return to Madden and will be the highest-rated quarterback in Madden NFL 21’s franchise mode. In celebration, Madden NFL 21 will be free to play from tomorrow through September 13.
