Nintendo has announced that a new Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection will soon be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The collection includes the classic Mario games Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, as well as a music player that enables users to enjoy music from all 3 games while keeping the Switch screen off. The games will be fully optimized for the Switch with rumble controls and improved resolution, but it’s important to note that these versions will be ports rather than remasters. Super Mario 3D All-Stars is set to launch on September 18; for a preview of what Nintendo has in store, you can check out Nintendo’s 35th Anniversary Direct video below.

  2. Epic Freebies   Another week of freebies from Epic Games is here. This week’s free games is Into the Breach, a strategy game from the makers of FTL. You can grab your free copy of Into the Breach directly from the Epic Games Store from now until September 10. As long as you claim the game by September 10, it will stay in your library forever. Ryan reviewed Into the Breach earlier this year, describing the game as “something spectacular” that “offers an incredibly engaging experience with tons of replayability.” You can check out Ryan’s review of Into the Breach below.

  3. Ubisoft Forward   Ubisoft has planned its next Ubisoft Forward livestream event. Slated for September 10, the next Ubisoft Forward is expected to focus on the upcoming game Gods & Monsters, which was first revealed at E3 back in 2019. Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed which other games will be making an appearance during the livestream, but the digital trailer for the event shows clips of titles such as Rainbow Six Quarantine, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Hyperscape. Regardless of what games end up taking the spotlight, we should be getting a significant amount of information about Ubisoft’s next-gen plans when Ubisoft Forward happens next week.

  4. Sands of Salzaar English Release   Sands of Salzaar, the popular Chinese open-world RPG, will soon be getting an English release. Despite only being available in simplified Chinese, Sands of Salzaar became an immediate hit when it launched earlier this year, selling over 50,000 copies on Steam in its first week. The English edition of the game features a complete translation of the game’s 500,000 word script, and will also include an expanded story with 30 new quests. The English version of Sands of Salzaar will be available in early access starting September 22.

  5. Rockstar Resets GTA V Glitchers   Rockstar has riled up the GTA V community after coming down hard against players who abused the “apartment garage glitch.” The glitch enabled players to quickly earn large amounts of money by purchasing properties and then using an exploit to convert them into cash. Rockstar has completely reset the accounts of players who abused the glitch, meaning that all of the progress on those accounts has been wiped away, and that players will have to start completely from scratch. Affected players, some of whom had spent several years working on their accounts, aren’t too happy about the significant punishment, but it doesn’t sound like Rockstar will be changing their minds on the issue.
