CD Projekt Red has unveiled some new information about Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC. Specifically, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be supported with multiple DLCs shortly after launch, and that these DLCs will be free for all players who own the base game. This is akin to the studio’s approach with The Witcher 3, which got 16 free DLC packs within 3 months after release. While this news doesn’t rule out the likely possibility of additional paid DLC, it is certainly good news for fans because it shows that CD Projekt Red is committed to updating and supporting the game for all players across the board. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on November 19.

  2. 2020 Game Awards   Geoff Keighley has confirmed that the 2020 edition of The Game Awards will be happening later this year. As you might expect, this year’s show will be exclusively virtual, with Keighley saying, they are “obviously not going to have 10,000 people in a room together.” Despite the online nature of the event, Keighley promises that this year’s Game Awards is “going to be the biggest show yet.” No date for the 2020 Game Awards has been announced yet, but the organizers are planning to reveal more details “in the coming weeks.”

  3. Lord of the Rings Gollum Trailer   Daedalic Entertainment has just released a new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Described as a mix of stealth gameplay and “climbing parkour,” the upcoming game focuses on Gollum, the complicated antagonist who serves as the foil for the wizard Gandalf. The studio likens the upcoming game to Prince of Persia, saying that it is “mostly a non-combat game,” and that Gollum must use his cunning, rather than strength, to survive. You can check out the official teaser trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum below.

  4. Team Fortress 2 Rick May Tribute   Team Fortress 2 has permanently added a statue in tribute to the late voice actor Rick May. Rick May, who passed away earlier, had been known for his roles in games like Star Fox and Age of Empires 2, but truly came to prominence by voicing Soldier in Team Fortress 2. The permanent tribute is inscribed with Soldier’s iconic voiceline “That was a hell of a campaign, son!” and can be viewed on the Granary Map, which served as the backdrop for the famous “Meet the Soldier” video over a decade ago. In case you haven’t seen it, or if you just want to enjoy it one more time, you can watch the classic video below.

  5. K/DA Returns   K/DA, the virtual League of Legends k-pop group, will soon be making its return. The group debuted at the League of Legends World Championship in 2018, going viral with their massive hit “POP/STARS.” Their new single, “The Baddest,” is set to come out on August 27, and fans are speculating that there may be a full album in the works for this year’s World Championship. There’s also rumors that a new member named Seraphine may be joining the group, with further rumors that Seraphine will be joining the League of Legends roster as a playable champion. This stems from the fact that Seraphine released a cover of POP/STARS, but regardless it seems that we’ll likely get more information later this week. You can check out Seraphine’s POP/STARS cover below.
