Microsoft unveiled a slew of upcoming games at the Xbox Games Showcase earlier today, including both Microsoft exclusives and third-party games. Perhaps the most notable announcement was the reveal of a new Fable game, although the first look at Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming fantasy RPG Avowed is certain to grab some attention as well. As promised, Microsoft showed off a gameplay demo of the Halo: Infinite campaign which is set to launch “this holiday season.” Microsoft also announced that every game shown during the Xbox Games Showcase will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch, including third-party titles. This is fantastic news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers and is definitely a huge step for Microsoft in the ongoing next-gen console wars.
2. Roblox Player Numbers Roblox is taking over. According to data recently released by Roblox Corporation, more than two-thirds of all US children under the age of 16 are currently active players of the game. This has led to Roblox smashing its all-time highs in player count despite the game having first launched more than a decade ago in 2004. 3. The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon The Outer Worlds DLC Peril on Gorgon has been announced. The first of two narrative expansions, Peril on Gorgon will take players to the Gorgon Asteroid where they will have to investigate the origins of Adrena-Time. The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is set to launch on September 9 on console and PC with a Switch launch expected at a later date. 4. Epic Games Summer Sale The Epic Games Summer Sale is underway, offering steep discounts on several big-name titles. Some of the most notable games included are Disco Elysium, Red Dead Redemption 2, Control, Outer Wilds, and Shadow Tactics, which range from 25-85% off. Unlike previous sales Epic will not be giving out $10 coupons with each purchase, however you can still any coupons you acquired in a previous sale.
