The Daily Moot (11/30/18)

Happy Friday Moothquakes! In this week's episode of Moot Points with Dylan & Brian, the boys discuss the newly released Red Dead Online beta and share what they like and dislike about it so far. Check out the episode below!

  2. Fortnite Account Merging Delayed Until Next Year   Back in September, Epic Games announced they were working on a feature that would let players merge two accounts into one. Some players were forced to create multiple accounts because Sony wasn’t happy with the idea that users may play on another platform, like the Nintendo Switch. Now, Epic Games has announced technical issues have caused them to push back the release of account merging into early next year. Oh well; we can wait a little bit longer, can’t we?

  3. Sign up for Anthem’s Closed Alpha Testing Now   Electronic Arts (EA) announced yesterday sign-ups for Anthem’s alpha testing are now open. The tests start on December 8th and you can sign up for a slot to test on one of the three major platforms (Xbox, PS4, or PC.) EA has warned the Anthem tests could be a rough, as the game is still in early stages and they will be testing things on the fly during the alpha. The article below has more details about the alpha and includes a link to sign up.

  4. Trainer Battles are Coming to Pokemon Go Soon   Pokemon Go has been strictly PvE (player vs environment) since it launched in the summer of 2016, but that will soon change. Niantic revealed on twitter this morning they will soon be introducing Trainer Battles to Pokemon Go. The video clips they’ve introduced show a Trainer standing in a field, similar to how you would see a wild Pokemon in the game when you’re attempting to catch it. We’re uncertain whether this means you’ll be battling NPCs or if you can battle your friends.

  5. The Elder Scrolls: Blades has been Delayed Until 2019   The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a free-to-play mobile game from Bethesda that apparently has looked impressive to those who played it. Todd Howard originally announced a fall 2018 release date, but a tweet yesterday revealed the game will actually release early next year for iOS and Android devices. According to the attached Polygon article, “Blades is not expected to be a full, open-world experience. Instead, it will have more linear levels and some limited social features.”
