1. Apex Legends Season 5
Apex Legends Season 5 is here! Called Fortune’s Favor, the newest season of Apex Legends finally brings Loba into the game. Loba is a socialite and thief whose traumatic past was previously revealed during a Revenant cinematic. Not only is Fortune’s Favor bringing a new Legend to the game, but it will also introduce a brand new game mode called Hunts. Hunts will be a weekly activity that throws players into a night variant of Kings Canyon and tasks them with finding a hidden artifact called the Broken Ghost. 2. PlayStation 5 Release Date? Sony has released a statement after a leaked release date for the PlayStation 5 sent fans into a frenzy. A recent job listing posted by Sony Interactive Entertainment accidently mentioned that the PS5 is “scheduled to be released in October 2020.” Despite the information suggested in the job listing, Sony has released a statement denying an October launch, saying that the error was made by a recruitment company involved in the hiring process. Furthermore, Sony confirmed their previously iterated plans for a Holiday 2020 release date.
3. Terraria: Otherworld It appears that a Terraria spin-off called Terraria: Otherworld may soon be coming out. The project, which was first announced back in 2015, had been cancelled in 2018, but Terraria creator Andrew Spinks now suggests that he may release the game after all. Fans asked Spinks about the likelihood of finishing the game and Spinks responded by saying, “100,000 signatures and $15 and I'll open source it.”
4. Stellaris Anniversary Event Stellaris, the massive 4X sandbox game from Paradox, is celebrating its 4th anniversary. As part of the celebrations, the strategy game is getting a huge visual update which is certain to spice up the cosmic and intergalactic environments. If you’ve never played Stellaris and want to check it out, the game will be free on Steam from now until May 17.
5. Harvest Moon: One World A new Harvest Moon game, Harvest Moon: One World, will soon be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Announced by Japanese developer Natsume, Harvest Moon: One World will feature a brand new world filled with unique villages and will have both new and returning characters. Although no concrete release date has been revealed yet, Harvest Moon: One World is expected to launch later this year.
