The Daily Moot (1/2/18)

News Picks

1. PUBG Likely to Come to PS4   Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is likely to come to the PlayStation 4 at some point in the future. The CEO of PUBG corporation, Chang Han Kim, recently stated in an interview, “the final goal would be to launch the title on every platform.” However, PS4 players will have to wait a considerable amount of time due to Sony’s strict rules regarding early access versions of games. This is a pretty good situation to be in for the PUBG developers because it gives them quite a long time to work out all the kinks and errors on the Xbox One so it will be 100% ready to go once it becomes available on PS4. While console gamers, specifically PS4 gamers, want PUBG to be available now, it is good to remember that good things come to those who wait!

  2. Mutant Football League is Back   The popular gaming title from 1993, Mutant Football League, is making a comeback on January 19th for the Xbox One and PS4. The game is promised to restore the zany, blood-and-guts, body-parts-flying brand of football initially created by Michael Mendheim. The developers of the game, Digital Dreams, have already begun working on the update which will come at some point in either February or March. The free update will include a plethora of new content including a new and improved dynasty mode that allows you to take control of a team at the lowest overall rating, and make them into a powerhouse football squad. Expect this game to make a cannonball sized splash in the gaming community!

  3. Civilization 6 Now Available on iPad   Civilization 6 has recently been released on the App Store for iPads and it is definitely worth checking out. It is also good to note that the game is not a “lite” or “demo” version, it is in fact the full game in all of its entirety. The sheer size of the title is noteworthy and it is quite a feat to finally bring the franchise to mobile gaming. The downside to Civ 6 coming to iPad is the whopping price of $60 for a mobile game, although it is on sale right now for $30. If you download now you can get it for free and play up to 60 turns before you need to make any kind of purchase. The next time-wasting, battery-draining, highly addictive game is now available for you to download and explore; happy gaming!

It’s always good to stay up to date! Thanks for this, but what do the Moot points do? I’ve always wondered that.

My most anticipated game is Metro Exodus actually, followed by Anthem - which I am significantly more tentative about. Really looking forward to pouring my life into Sea of Thieves though.
