Games Done Quick, a speedrunning charity fundraiser, has announced a new event next month called Corona Relief Done Quick. Corona Relief Done Quick will be an online-only event from April 17-19 and 100% of the donations will go to Direct Relief. Unfortunately, this new event comes at the cost of Summer Games Done Quick being postponed. SGDQ will now take place in August and all previously accepted applicants will have to reapply to participate. If you’re a speedrunner and want to play some video games for a good cause, applications to participate in Corona Relief Done Quick are open from now until April 2.
2. Last Oasis Last Oasis, a “Nomadic Survival MMO” developed by Donkey Crew, just launched in early access and instantly became the top-selling game on Steam. In Last Oasis, players must build “Walkers” which act as both your transportation and your base of operations. Unfortunately, the game’s immediate popularity meant that the launch didn’t go as smoothly as hoped, with many players getting disconnected from the game due to server issues. Donkey Crew released a statement saying that they are working “around the clock” to fix the problems, and have already put out multiple hotfixes to address connection issues. You can check out the launch trailer for Last Oasis below.
3. Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord More than 7 years after it was first announced, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is finally here. Originally expected to launch on March 31, developers decided to move the date forward and the game will now come out on March 30 in Early Access on Steam. Bannerlord will have a 10% discount during the first 2 weeks after launch, with an additional 10% discount for players who own the previous games.

5. Fallout 76 Wastelanders Delayed The upcoming Wastelanders update to Fallout 76 has been delayed. In their statement, Bethesda said that because their team is now working from home, it was difficult to do proper testing, and that the delay would push the release date back from April 7 to April 14. The Wastelanders update is expected to be enormous and will completely change the game, revamping the original main quest, changing the dialogue system, and adding human NPCs to the game.
