Moot Service Termination Notice
Hello Moot users,
This is Team Moot.
As you remember, on March 2, 2021, Moot transferred all of the lounge contents and users to BAND, and since then, it has been offering its services only to game companies and users that use SDKs.
This was part of the process of shutting down Moot service, and Moot has actually stopped further app downloads as well as further activities on the Web, including writing posts.
We regret to inform you that all of the remaining services, including Moot Plug Lounge and SDK will be shut down on March 31st, 2023. (KST)
* As of 31st March, 2023, you will no longer be able to access Moot.
Also all official social media accounts of Moot (include Discord server) will be shut down in consecutive order by 31st March.
* All contents and profiles (including photos, nickname, etc.) that you created within Moot Plug Lounge will be deleted completely from 31st March onwards, and these will not be recoverable.
Thus, please make sure you back up any contents, if necessary.
* When we shut down the Moot Game Lounge service last year, we notified you of the transfer of your contents and profiles to BAND, and further information on BAND here (Link).
You can still log in to BAND, but if you don’t want to do this, you may unsubscribe from the service by logging into your Moot account on https://band.us > Login > Profile > Settings > Click “Delete Account Request”.
Furthermore, all users of game companies that use SDKs should join the communities recommended by each company or the official community listed on each game’s official website.

This is an additional notice for development companies using Moot PLUG Lounge and Lounge SDK.
As Moot services come to an end as mentioned above, Moot Plug SDKs, which was able to be used in sync with mobile games, will also be shut down.
The termination date is the same as the termination date of Moot service. You may play the games after the shutdown of SDKs, but if you run SDKs within the game, you may come across an error messages.
Therefore, we recommend that you remove SDKs from the games before the termination date.
We’d like to thank all those who used the Moot Plug service as a service to connect users and developers, and we will try our best to minimize any disturbances caused by the termination of Moot.

All Moot lounges moved to Band!
Hi, Moothies!
I brought some news today that could be 'the last notice'.
The migration to the band we talked about a month ago was done this week. Since the lounge where the migration took place hasn’t been available to write or comment, many users may have experienced not being able to write in Moot's lounge since last weekend.
Now the notice has been posted in all the lounges where the migration has been completed. You will be able to see the link to the band that the contents of each lounge have been moved from in this notice, so we want you to be active in each of the band.
And you can also use a Moot-like form of chat function in the band, maybe even more powerful! Anyone can make a public chat room and a private chat room in this band. We've moved some public chat rooms in the current Moot to each band that's been migrated, so go check it out right away!
And I know there are still a lot of users left in the Moot. Unfortunately, all remaining functions of the Moot will be suspended on March 2, and regular lounges except the Plug lounge will no longer be visible to you from March 9.
The chat function, which many users are using now, will also end, so I think it'll be better to move to the band's chat in advance! However, as I mentioned in the previous notice, the game lounge with the plug mark of Moot will not be closed. Therefore, you will be able to be in action after March 2 there.
Lastly, we would like to thank you for your interest and love in Moot over the past three years. We won't forget the love you've shown us during this time. Now that we're starting a new service with Band, please show a lot of interest and love to Band!

Moot will transfer to Band
We want to let you know about a coming change—soon, we will be transitioning Moot lounges to Band (band.us). On Band, it is easy to discuss not just your favorite games, but also many other topics, and we are excited to unify our platform around Band.
Moot and Band have both been part of our Service (as defined under our Terms of Use), but soon our Service will no longer include Moot and we will be fully migrating all Moot lounges to Band. In connection with that change, following the transition, we will update our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to no longer include reference to Moot as part of our Service.

How to Login to Band
As part of our combined Service, the same account ID and password you use for Moot allows you to login to Band, and that will continue to be the case going forward.
Game Lounges
Regular Game Lounges
By the end of February 2021, we plan for each regular game lounge (i.e., our game lounges other than those with the Plug mark; more about those below) to be automatically created in Band, and for information such as contents, comments and likes in each lounge to be transferred to Band (And after transfer, all contents of each lounges will be deleted soon).
However, your personal activities such as LFG / Chat / DM / Messages are not subject to this transfer and will be deleted.
Plug Lounges
For now, game lounges with a Plug mark (“Plug Lounges”) will not be moved to Band because they are run by game companies. In the immediate future, you will continue to be able to participate in the Plug Lounges on Moot, but LFG or DM will no longer be available in Plug Lounges.

Opt-Out
As part of this exciting transition, we will be moving your profile images, nicknames and contents stored in Moot (the “Moot User Data”) to Band. But if you would prefer that we not do so, please click the Opt-Out link below by February 2, 2021 and indicate that you do not want to move your Moot User Data to Band. If you do opt-out, your Moot User Data will be deleted after February 2, 2021, so please back up any Moot User Data you want to keep.
If you do not opt out by February 2, 2021, we will move your Moot User Data to Band, where you will continue to be able to login using your Moot account ID and password and manage your posts and content (including deleting past posts).

Time for Me to Say Goodbye
Dear Moot Community,
Today is my last full day working for Moot.
Over the past three-plus years, I have given everything I have to make sure Moot was a great platform for all gamers. Unfortunately, that will no longer be my responsibility. I am not entirely sure what will happen to Moot moving forward but I wish the product and everyone on the team the best of luck moving forward.
Thank you to everyone who has made my time here special. I have made some great friendships and unforgettable memories in the process.

We Fixed an Issue Causing the App to be Slow!
Good afternoon, Mooties!
Last week we diagnosed and fixed an issue that was causing the Moot app to be slow for some users in the US East region. Now, we want to hear from you all to make sure that Moot is operating smoothly all around the world.
Please let us know in the comments of this post if you're experiencing any sort of lag on Moot. Include as much of the following as possible to help us diagnose and fix any issues!

Moot Update v3.8 is LIVE! 🔴
Greetings, Mooties! We are excited to announce that update v3.8 is LIVE and it includes some big changes. Head to the App Store or Google Play now to update your app!
Read below for everything that is new in v3.8!
1. We're removing the App Home Page!
Currently, we're not happy with the App Home Page so we've removed it. If you enjoyed using the App Home Page to find new content, don't worry; we introduced a nifty replacement we hope you'll enjoy.
2. Introducing the Discover Tab!
The Discover tab includes much of what was in the App Home Page, but it is laid out differently in a new design. Please let us know what you think of the Discover tab in v.3.8.0 that released today! We're eager to update it again once we get feedback from our community.
3. Merging Notifications and Messages into the Inbox tab!
Whether you got a new message or a new notification, you'll now be checking your inbox tab to find out! Messages and Notifications are still COMPLETELY SEPARATE once you're inside the Inbox tab, so we hope it won't be confusing.
4. Improved Rainbow 6 Stat Search!
We've drastically improved the functionality of our Rainbow 6 stats. We hope you Siegers out there will appreciate the new functionalities we've added!

Moot v3.7 Update! 🚨
Greetings, Mooties! We are excited to announce an update today that includes the following key features. Let's get straight into it!
1. LFG Button on the Home Page
We've replaced the QnA button on the Home Page's bottom menu bar with an LFG Button. Tapping this button will get you on the fast track toward connecting with new teammates.
QnA isn't gone (yet!) and it can still be accessed from the Home Page. If you want to access QnA still, tap the "More" button in the Recent Question section of the Home Page.
2. New Moot Ticket Giveaway Structure
We're adapting our Moot Ticket Giveaway structure to one where you can win instantly! Our original Moot Ticket Giveaway model had long giveaway durations; we hope the new instant model will be more fun and rewarding for users. Here's a sneak peek of what it will look like (the design is not final)!
The first wave of new Moot Ticket Giveaways starts TOMORROW so keep your eyes on the Moot Coin Shop! We may or may not be calling them Moot Scratchers 🤷♂️
3. New Splash Screens

Auto-Moderation Incoming! 🤖
Greetings, Mooties! We want to let you know about an important upcoming change to Moot that we hope will drastically improve your experience. We are going to start experimenting with AUTOMATED MODERATION!
We already have a small form of automated moderation in the form of a content blacklist. This means certain words are forbidden and if you try to comment or post these words, your post is blocked.
Now, we're expanding the automated moderation features to include IMAGES as well!
Initially, the new automated moderation will apply only to Direct Messages and Chat Rooms as we fine-tune the feature. Soon, we hope to start expanding it to Lounges one at a time (Off Topic, we're looking at you! 👀)
Please keep in mind this is an AUTOMATED system. Your personal conversations are PRIVATE and they will remain PRIVATE. Also, we hope you will let us know how the system seems to be working. For example, if you try to share a meme that doesn't break the Content Policy but it gets rejected let us know!

Moot Update v3.7 Pre-Notice! 🆕
Greetings, Mooties! Moot Update v3.7 is just around the corner and we want to tell you what’s coming to Moot before it gets here!
1) New Moot Ticket Giveaway Structure!
We’re changing Moot Ticket Giveaways so you can win prizes instantly! The current Moot Ticket Giveaway process is a great way for us to give back to our community constantly. However, the long giveaway durations means that you need to wait to see if you’ve won. Our new system will allow you to enter Moot Tickets for certain prizes and find out INSTANTLY if you’re a winner!
Under the new system, we will give out AT LEAST the same amount of prizes each month. We may even begin to distribute more prizes with more variety as we explore the potential of our new system!
2) Replacing QnA on the Home Page with LFG!
We will remove the QnA button from the bottom menu bar on the Home Page in the new update. We are going to replace it with an LFG button. This way, you can find teammates for your favorite games faster than ever before. Also like, does anyone like QnA? Seriously, should we keep it or nah? Let us know.
3) New Splash Screens!
This one mostly speaks for itself. Get ready for some new splash screens as your app loads!

1) Stickers For Sale in the Moot Coin Shop!
We are now selling Stickers in the Moot Coin Shop for you to purchase. Use your hard-earned Moot Coins to expand your sticker repertoire! Can you collect them all?!
2) Attach Stickers to Comments!
Now, you can attach stickers to comments as well as direct messages. Hooray!
3) Custom Tip Amounts
We heard the community on this one loud and clear. You wanted to tip custom amounts instead of fixed intervals of 50. Well, we listened and now you can decide how much you want to tip!

We are Investigating a bug with Follower Counts!
EDIT: We fixed this issue late last night and all your followers should have recovered by now!

We are aware that many users on Moot are rapidly losing followers. WE'RE RELEASING A FIX FOR THE ISSUE ASAP AND WE WILL RECOVER YOUR FOLLOWERS!
WHAT'S HAPPENING?!
Well, we didn't get hacked. There was a system error that affected some user follower counts. We have now fixed the bug and will release a hotfix to return your follower counts to normal.
This bug was active between 8 PM and 11:20 PM PST today.
We're sorry for this bug that caused many of you stress. AGAIN, WE WILL RECOVER YOUR FOLLOWERS!

1. We are aware of a bug that is not allowing users to post YouTube videos, but we think we may have solved the issue. Are you guys experiencing this issue still? Please let us know.
2. Update v3.5 is out now! The main aspect of the update was the introduction of the Moot Cow family. Did you enjoy the update?
3. Update v3.6 is on its way and it includes some users suggested features such as CUSTOM tip amounts (and more)! We are always looking for new suggestions so please let us know what you would like to see in future updates.

Moot Update v3.5! ⬆️
Greetings, Mooties! We are excited to announce an update today that includes the following key features. Let's get straight into it!
1) Introducing the Moot Family in Stickers!
We are honored to introduce you to new members of the official Moot Family. You can send a Sticker featuring Gizmo, Spike, Penny, and Bart in a Direct Message or Chat Room by tapping the + icon and Selecting a Sticker.
New users will also be able to choose one of our four new family members as their default profile picture before they decide to upload their own.
2) See who Tipped Posts and Thank Users for Supporting You!
Based on a user suggestion, we've implemented a new feature that enables users to view the list of users that have tipped a post. There is also a second list that shows the names of users who upvoted the post. If you feel extra grateful, you can use these lists to thank users for their upvotes and tips!
3) Improved the Visual Design of Quests!
There are now more visual effects in the Quests section of the Goals tab that we hope you'll enjoy!

Moot Update v3.4
Good afternoon, Mooties! We just released update 3.4 and we're here to go over the key features of the update. Let's dive right in!
1. Share posts with your friends in Direct Messages, Group Chats, and Chat Rooms!
With this new snippet feature, you can easily share posts you want others to see. From any post on Moot, tap the 3 dot menu to open the Post Options. Tap the new option “Send by message” to bring up a list of your conversations. From here, just tap whichever Chat you wish to share the post to!
2. Recommended Content from our Featured Creators
We have a select team of Featured Creators on Moot who make awesome content all week long. There is a new space on the Home Page to showcase content from our Creators. You will also see some of their content recommended in your News Feed.
3. Improved Reporting, Banning, and Deleting Options and Tools
We are continuously working to improve our moderation team and the tools they use. In this update we have expanded our new Report options to the Delete and Ban pages that moderators see. We are also experimenting with automatically applied ban durations based both on the specific offense and the number of times the user has been banned.

Moot Update v3.3.0!
Good afternoon, Mooties! We are excited to announce an update today that should improve the experience of every user on Moot. This update is all about our new QUEST System. Check it out!
Before, the Goals tab on Moot was so ugly and boring. 🤮 We apologize for how boring it was. (We won't apologize for the ugliness though)
Now, the Goals tab is PRETTY and EXCITING! 💐 🎉 Plus, we have added a basic list of Quests for users to complete. As you complete quests, the icon on the right will light up and you can tap it to claim your prize.
If you are unsure how to complete any of the Quests, look for the little question mark icon (?). Tapping the (?) will open up an FAQ guide that will show you what you need to do!
How do you feel about the Quests Update? How can we improve the Quests feature in the next update? Should we work on something else instead?

Moot Update v3.2.7: Chat Room Improvements!
Greetings, Mooties! We are excited to announce an update today that focuses on expanding the Chat Room feature. Specifically, we're hoping to entice you and your clan to start using Moot Chat Rooms as your central communication hub!

1) Chat Room Creators can create Sub-Managers to help them moderate their Chat Rooms!
- That's right! Moderation is no longer ONLY on one person to manage. Find teammates or friends that you trust in your Chat Room and select them to be an official Sub-Manager! Hooray! 🎉
2) Added Chat Room Descriptions
- Let the world know exactly what your Chat Room is about right away! Is your Game Chat about hardcore gaming and how to get better? Or is your Chat Room about frolicking puppies in fields of flowers? Whatever it is, be sure to include it in the Chat Room Description!
3) Added Chat Room Sorting Options (Hot/Recent)
- Sort Chat Rooms in a lounge with our new sorting option to find the perfect one you are looking for!
4) Added Member Searching in Chat Rooms
- Having trouble finding a specific member in your Chat Room? No problem! Now, you can easily find the exact person you are looking for by searching their name within the Chat Room! Pretty neat, right?
5) Changed Chat Room Creation Criteria (over level 5 / Moot member for at least 7 days)
- We have upped the criteria for all members to be apart of a Chat Room in order to reduce the amount of spam and bots. Hopefully this helps!
6) Purge User's Message History When Kicked From a Chat Room
- If a user is spamming your Chat Room you can now kick them AND purge their entire message history!

Moot Update v3.2.6: Introducing Coin Tipping!
Good evening, Mooties! Moot Update v.3.2.6 is finally live on all platforms. This update finally expands Coin Tipping to all of Moot!
1) Coin Tipping
You can now tip up to 200 Moot Coins to any Post on Moot! You can 5 different posts each day, so choose wisely! Follow the steps below to Tip Coins.
-Navigate to the post you want to Tip.
-Tap the Moot Coin Icon to open the Tip Menu.
-Select up to 200 Moot Coins for the Tip amount.
-Send those Moot Coins!
2) Lounge Home is the new Landing Page (again!)
We have reworked the Lounge Home page slightly to showcase the most popular activities in a Lounge. Now, the landing page when you visit a lounge will be the Lounge Home page again!

We’re excited to announce the next step in our Rainbow Six and Animal Crossing Wiki Venture. Starting today, a handful of trusted users can edit the Rainbow Six and Animal Crossing Wikis if they are active in those lounges!
If you’re a highly active user who hangs out in either the Rainbow Six or Animal Crossing lounges CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATIONS because you may have been chosen!
If you weren’t chosen and feel like you would be a good contributor to either our R6 or Animal Crossing Wikis, let us know! Contact Team Moot and explain why you would be a good contributor. We’ll check out your post and comment history and add editing privileges to everyone who impresses us!
You can also try to contribute indirectly to the Wiki by talking to your favorite Mootified user, who may be willing to add things to the Wiki at your suggestion!

Last week we introduced the Game Chat feature which lets you create and join Chat Rooms in any of your favorite game lounges. Now that you’ve had some time to get familiar with the feature we’re excited to announce our newest event: the Game Chat Event!
There are two different ways you can win while exploring Moot’s newest feature. Check it out!

Moot Update v3.2.0!
Good morning gamers! We’ve just released 3.2 and it has two exciting new additions to Moot.
1. Create Your Own Custom Gradient Colors!
Now you can make your own Custom Gradient Colors for 1500 Moot Coins. Combine 2 colors from your inventory and combine them to make your own Gradient Color. NOTE, WHEN YOU DO THIS YOU WILL REMOVE BOTH OF THE ORIGINAL COLORS FROM YOUR INVENTORY.

2. Buy Moot Tickets in the Shop!
Do you have too many Moot Coins and not enough items to spend them on? Worry no more! Starting today you will be able to immediately exchange your hard-earned Moot Coins to Moot Tickets so you can enter more giveaways! Hooray!!
3. Chat Rooms!
Now you can create and join Chat Rooms in all of your favorite game Lounges. Instantly chat with new or old friends in these Chat Rooms to communicate like never before. Need highly knowledgeable players to critique your high level Rainbow Six strategies? Create a "Diamond+" Chat Room to get the feedback you need. Looking for other Pokemon Lore nerds to help you with your Masters Thesis? Make a "Pokemon Lore Discussion" Chat Room and get chattin'!
Please be aware this is a new feature and we are still actively working on it. We hope you'll be patient with us and provide feedback so we can make Chat Rooms an awesome place for you to hang out and discuss your favorite games.
4. Sort Posts by Content Filters!
The Posts board is the place for all your Posts. Now at the top of the Posts board you will see the Lounge's Content Filters. Tapping one of these will filter out all other content.
Currently there is a bug that prevents you from selecting multiple. Once we fix this, you'll be able to filter your Posts board to show you all of the content you want to see and none of the content you don't!

Introducing Moot Gaming Enyclopedias!
Greetings, gamers!
If you visit the Rainbow Six or Animal Crossing lounges you’ll notice a new tab labelled ‘Encyclopedia.’ Tapping on either of these tabs will take to you a new and wonderful place called a “wiki.”
These wikis are currently a bit sparse because we are only allowing a select few users to contribute to them. Soon though, we hope to expand wiki privileges to more and more Moot users so we can all contribute to the growing bank of knowledge.

Moot Update v3.1! Verify Your Epic Games Account on Moot!
Happy Update Day! Today's update is a particularly exciting one for us, as it includes a feature we have wanted to bring to Moot for over a year. Let's get straight into it. OMG WE'RE SO EXCITED WE CAN'T WAIT!
1. Introducing Game Account Authentication!
Starting with Epic Games, you can now verify ownership of your accounts through a simple three step process. Once you finish the process you'll have linked your Epic Games account to your Moot account FOREVER!
This will earn you a Verified tag next to your Epic Games account and your Fortnite stats. You have verified to us ownership of the account and proven those are really your stats!
We have wanted this for so long because it will enable us to reward you for doing awesome things IN GAME!
Most of the benefits for this are "coming soon," but we decided to release this now because we wanted to get the Authenticator in your hands ASAP so you could start verifying your accounts! Let's look at the process together, shall we?

Who knows when these things will be coming to Moot? You want to be prepared. Authenticate your Epic Games account today. Here's how.
FIRST, add your Epic Games account to your Moot profile.
THEN, press the "Verify" button to begin.
NEXT, follow Steps 1 through 3. You'll need to add 'Mootdmbot' as a friend on Epic Games. Then, we'll provide you a code which you message to 'Mootdmbot' on Epic Games.
AAAAAANDDDD TADA!
So far, Account Authentication is only for Epic Games. We are working to extend this feature to other games as fast as possible.
Update 3.1 also fixed several bugs, including a bug with app notifications. If you still can't clear that pesky notification, remember to check the Game Calendar!

Greetings, beloved Moot members.
You may be experiencing some disruptions to normal life currently as a result of COVID-19. In these challenging times we hope humans of all types can turn to Moot for community, support, and encouragement. We will get through this - together.
The most important thing you can do right now is protect your own health. Please refer to the CDC Guidelines linked here for how to protect yourself.

KEY METHODS OF PREVENTION:
-Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water, especially after going in public. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer will work if soap and water are not available.
-Maintain a physical distance of 6 feet if possible between you and others, ESPECIALLY PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF YOUR IMMEDIATELY HOUSEHOLD.
-Stay home and away from others as much as possible if you are sick.

Please also remember to be compassionate towards others as much as possible. Every person is experiencing the current situation differently; it is impossible to tell at a glance who has lost their job, or even a family member or friend.

We are excited to reveal to you today a new selection of gradient colors. The first wave of these new gradient colors will be available starting THIS WEEKEND! Check out the schedule below.

NOTE: These gradient colors will have a limited stock of 200 each when they come to the shop! We encourage you to use the Wish List and check the shop when it refreshes on these days ASAP!
