day 1
so two days ago i finally got dark souls 3 and was able to play that son of a smid, and here is my story in #adarksoul

so when I kicked off that day of dark souls three I spent about 20 minutes making my character, since I couldn't find a randomize button ;-;

when I first dropped in the game, I found it pretty easy thanks to my experience from both of the previous games. i also knew almost the entire beginner's area thanks to some youtube video from 2 years ago :P so I ran into the giant lizard, and man was he really weak compared to some of the ds1 enemies. so I killed him in one try proceeded through the area till I made it to gundyr(is this how you spell it? :P), after watching both chasethebro and prod play the ascended mod, I knew his attack pattern but I still expected him to be a little faster than he really was. got him on my first try. made it to fire link did all that beginner stuff, talking to npcs, exploring and such. i then found the tree for the tree jump glitch. tried that for about 10 minutes, getting extremely close but no dice, but on my 50+ try I finally made it got the silver serpent ring(second favorite ring in the game).

got to high wall did the usual thing you would on this place, till I found the lothric knights, I farmed them till I could get their sword. got it after the third try, and boy was I happy to have it. till I got bodied by some hollow and had my first death of the game :P after a few more deaths I finally made it to vordt(is that his name?), he was pretty easy after seeing a bunch of others play against him :P, another first try. made it to the next area, I don't remember much of this area except the damn bird/human guys with scythes find SSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSS

apparently, at some point I found lorettas bone, so i gave that to greirat which is saddening :( got to the cursed tree boss, this guy was a little tough since i didn't have a weapon with a lot of reach and damage. i got to a super close fight, i was out of estus and was down to 130 hp, he had about another 4 good hits before he died. so i did the one thing you could do against a giant tree, threw some firebombs at him. i got him down another 240 hp, then i ran out of firebombs, so i ran in popping a warcry buff from my axe, and just tried to kill him. he moved to turn around and holy FACK did he almost stomp me with his hand while doing that, i was about to get in my 2 hits that finished, but when he started doing his animation i thought i was still alive so thought i was finished at that point, but thank god he was dead.

after that i ran into the swamp and did some looting, bonfire grabbing, crab killing, friend-making. i was pretty low on estus at this point when i ran into the two npcs before farrons keep, the ones with the great club and exiled greatsword, so it was super intense while fighting them, with only two estus. bt in the end i was able to beat them thanks to lothric's hyper armor, PRAISE THE LOTHRIC KNIGHT STRAIGHT SWORD, then i moved on to the next place bonfire did some more exploring, got really close to the crystal sage boss fight, then found two out of three of the lights, found a bonfire and rested there and called it a day just outside the big door.

but damn sone i love this game, i only wish i took more screenshots and video clips of my first day, but maybe if I'm lucky i will be able to show you my clip and screenshot of the next day tomorrow. and whats funny is i did all of this in only three hours :P
Had some really good times in DS3. I’d almost call some areas casual compared to the areas in the original dark souls
oh yeah, some of the enemies in ds3 are pushovers compared to some of the stuff in ds1, like the batwing demons ;-;
I was thinking of getting dark souls but i figured I’d just be stuck on the game for months
thats the intention :P
but i would suggest starting at the first game, there you will feel some serious frustration. but when you get to the other games it will be a lot more laxed and easier. as you can see from my experience :PThis was a lot of fun to read 😂 I’m glad you’re enjoying the game!
Ds3 is the one I’m the least experienced with... so playing through it recently has been a lot of fun for me too!i was hoping to continue this series but instead with a video and my commentary, but I seem to have lost my mic somewhere :/
and hey its dark souls, got to love it :P
