Bánh chưng is an indispensable symbol in the traditional Tet holiday in Vietnam. Banh chung appears on New Year's Day to express gratitude to heaven and earth for favorable rain and wind, so that a bountiful harvest brings a prosperous life for people. It also shows the filial piety of a child to his parents. The main ingredients are sticky rice, dong leaves, meat, crushed green beans. I made it during Tet this year with my family.

This is "Sinampalukang Manok" one of our traditional foods in my hometown Bulacan here in the Philippines.
It has sour soup base taste just like Sinigang but we use the leaves of the tamarind and not the tamarind itselft to give it its sour taste.
We also use Native Chickens to give it a distinct taste that you can only taste in this Dish. It is very perfect for this rainy season. And it is one of my comfort foods.
I do hope to share this to everyone ❤️😊🤗

Kinilaw (pronounced [kɪnɪˈlaʊ] or locally [kɪˈnɪlaʊ], literally "eaten raw") is a raw seafood dish and preparation method native to the Philippines. It is also referred to as Philippine ceviche due to its similarity to the Latin American dish Ceviche. It is more accurately a cooking process that relies on vinegar or acidic fruit juices (usually citrus) to denature the ingredients, rather than a dish, as it can also be used to prepare meat and vegetables. Kinilaw dishes are usually eaten as appetizers before a meal, or as finger food (Tagalog: pulutan) with alcoholic drinks.

And usually we cook this dish during Eid al-Adha.
Happy Eid Al-Adha for those who celebrate... ♥

“boiled beef,” you probably wouldn’t expect Nilagang Baka to be a delicious balance of flavors. From the soft and satisfying texture of baby bok choy to the ever tender and rich cubes of beef sirloin, this recipe only intermingles the best ingredients for an ever comforting dish. Perhaps one of the reasons why it is so popular is because like many other famous Filipino recipes, it puts together a good deal of meat, vegetables and stew.
