Hacker or am I just bad

So, the other day I was on a sloop with my friend, we were doing constellation tall tale from sudds. When we were on our way to get the first star jewel we saw a galleon approaching us I told my friend to stay on the boat and repair while I board and defend the holes we made from cannon fire. We were successful, but when I took a mermaid back to the ship only one person remained from they’re crew. He was spamming stuff in the deee but it was text to speech something I have never heard. I got suspicious when I shot him point blank with a blunderbuss me and friend kept hitting him but he wouldn’t go down, at first I though it could be lag but he was not missing anything and his crew was easy to kill. We sunk. A couple hours later we had both star jewels and we just sailing and then a crew of three people just spawned near the cannons There was not a ship for miles and no rowboats and I checked the usual hiding spots on sloops since we were on a island for a while. I realized it was the same crew from earlier. His crew was easily killed but they kept respawing on our ship and I was confused then the same guy from earlier that would not take damage kept killing us and he wouldn’t die from a anything he was not eating at all either.
