[NOTICE] 8/17/2021 Maintenance Delay Notice (UPDATED)
Hello, Chasers.
We are almost prepared to go ahead with August 17, 2021 maintenance, however Apple iOS review has been delayed. Therefore, we are forced to delay maintenance while we wait upon the review.
We have contacted Apple to expedite this process so that Chasers can return to the smoothest gameplay experience possible in GrandChase. We will provide you with an exact maintenance schedule in a later announcement as soon as we can.
In addition, as the maintenance is postponed, the restrictions on in-game content will be temporarily extended until the end of maintenance.

Everyone’s busy preparing for the upcoming August 17th update, it seems. As previously stated, we’re preparing for some pretty massive changes to Hero Growth, Core Systems, and Reward Systems, and we do recommend giving those announcements a read.
With this update, the current season of PVP will come to an end. A new season of PVP will begin after the update.
As such, entry into PVP will be temporarily restricted beginning the following dates:
Western: August 16th (Mon) 19:00 (UTC-4) until end of maintenance.
Asia: August 17th (Tue) 08:00 (UTC+9) until end of maintenance.
Rankings will be locked in during update and season rewards will be issued to you after the maintenance is over.

We plan on making significant changes to the game on August 17th (Tue), so we wanted to let you know why we’re doing it and how things are about to change.

[Reason for Changes]
We have 2 main objectives we intend to accomplish with these changes.
First, we want our players to enjoy the game for longer, so we made changes to how heroes grow, what types of materials are needed to grow said heroes, as well as the content rewards.
Second, we wanted to adjust the difficulty of obtaining hero growth materials overall to improve the experience for our current players.
[Improvements Info]
1. Changes to Hero Growth
We wanted to lower the requirement to reach Chaser and Soul Imprint so that players can experience Chaser and Soul Imprint quicker and make progress towards Awakening, Transcendence, Chaser, and Soul Imprint at the same time.
In addition, we are also changing some of the core resources for Evolution, Awakening, Chaser, and Soul Imprint to help accelerate progression.
[Removed Hero Upgrade]
■ Hero Upgrade feature has been removed.
■ The stats gained from Hero Upgrade will now be gained as part of evolution.
[Removed Transfusion]
■ Transfusion has been removed.
■ You cannot obtain Radiant Shiny / Splendid Shiny / Delicate Shiny through transfusion.
[Hero Evolution Changes]
■ Evolution requirement has been changed.
- Before: max Upgrade for each rank of evolution
- After: removed Upgrade requirement
■ Materials needed for Evolution changed from Evostone to the new resource ‘Evolution Cube’.
[Awakening Changes]
■ Awakening requirement has been changed.
- Before: 6 Stars and +12 Upgrade
- After: 6 Stars (Upgrade requirement removed)
■ Resource needed for Awakening has been changed.

Transcendence 7 and higher: duplicate Hero or (Radiant/Splendid/Delicate) Radiant Shiny or Transcendence Seals.
■ Raise Transcendence Traits starting from Transcendence 7
- From Transcendence 7 to Transcendence 15, gain BP as well as points to use on that hero’s Transcendence Traits.
- Only heroes that have Limit Break skills can reach Transcendence 7 or higher.
- Transcendence traits can each be leveled up from Lv. 1 – Lv. 5. However, you must meet required BP for each trait level before you can level it up.
- Transcendence Traits can be reset using Gold. (Cost to reset 1 point: Gold 200,000)
■ Limit Break no longer requires Evostones.

- Hero Growth Reset can be accessed from the Menu > Hero Growth Reset.
- You can reset (Awakening/Transcendence) progress of SR Heroes back to 6 Stars and Awakening Cubes. However, promoted SR Heroes, i.e., heroes with Chaser Open, Soul Imprint Open, Transcendence past +6, are all ineligible for resets.
■ Shiny, Shiny Crystals
- (Delicate, Splendid, Radiant) Shiny and Shiny Crystals can no longer be acquired. Craft Shiny feature will remain.
- The remaining Shinys in your inventory can still be used where heroes are used as materials.
■ Transcendence Seal
- Transcendence Seal can no longer be acquired.
- Any remaining Transcendence Seals can be used as before in Transcendence, Chaser, and Soul Imprint progression.
■ Hero Evostone
- Hero Evostones can no longer be acquired or used.
- Remaining Evostones in your inventory can be converted using ‘(Old) Evostone Conversion Craft’ feature into one of the new resources of your choice (Awakening Cube, Chaser Cube, Soul Imprint Cube).
■ Prana
- Prana can no longer be acquired.
- Remaining Prana in your inventory can be spent at the ‘(Old) Prana Shop’ for a limited duration that will be specified in the announcement after these changes have taken effect.
■ Monster Card
- Monster Cards can no longer be acquired or used.
- Remaining Monster Cards in your inventory will be and replaced and exchanged for ‘Evolution Cube’ sent to your mailbox
- Gold that was spent to increase inventory slots for Monster Cards will be refunded to your mailbox.
■ Chaser Keystone
- Chaser Keystones can no longer be acquired or used.
- Any remaining Chaser Keystones in your inventory can be converted through ‘(Old) Chaser Keystone Conversion Craft’ feature to exchange each Chaser Keystone into 25 Chaser Crystals of your choice.

Part 3: Main System Improvements and Reward Changes
■ A number of quest requirements and many of the quest rewards have been changed.
- Clear Rewards for World 5 to World 9 quests will be reset. You can redo these quests and get the new rewards.
■ End of SR Jumping System and Addition of SR Collection System
- The previous SR Jumping System will be removed with this update. Any character in middle of Jumping will be issued with whatever Awakening status it was able to reach before maintenance. We recommend that you complete Jumping missions as much as possible.
- The new SR Collection System allows all users to acquire up to 20 SR 5 Star Heroes.
- Heroes ineligible for SR Collection: The 4 most recent heroes (Europa, Tia, Lapis, Harpe)
- Requirement to open SR Collection System: Clear Adventure dungeon 8-9 ‘Red Knight’
■ Hot Time System Improvements
- Hot Time is no longer activated periodically throughout the day.
You can now choose when Hot Time is active by using the Hot Time Tickets you get in mail. You can get up to 2 Hot Time Tickets per day when you login.
- Hot Time effect has been changed.
Before: Adventure Dungeon Monster Cards +100%, Adventure Dungeon Gold +100%
After: Adventure Dungeon Evolution Cube +100%, Adventure Dungeon Gold +100%
■ Daily Buff Changes
- Monday buff has been changed.

7. What we recommend before this update:
- We recommend that you hold on to (or at least don’t sell) duplicate SR heroes, or extra copies of SR heroes with some progression.
- Since you can use duplicates that don’t have Chaser/Soul Imprint after the update as materials to reach Transcendence 15, we recommend that you don’t sell any extra SR heroes you currently don’t have a use for before the update.
- We recommend that you Transfuse as many of the S Rank Heroes you currently have.
- Transfusion will be removed with this update, which means that no more Radiant Shinys can be obtained.
- As a result, S rank Heroes will be less valuable. Please transfuse as many S rank Heroes as possible before the update.

Here’s a sneak peek at World 10!
Previously, in the dank depths of Pandemonium, GrandChase went through all manner of challenges in the Mind Prison, Ice Prison, and the Soul Prison. On this journey, we saw Jin’s senior and Asin’s master, Asin Tairin’s soul wandering Pandemonium without memories of his past. We also got to learn just what made Decanee want to destroy the world.
Despite the GrandChase defeating their old foe once again, the adventure continues, for Heitaros is still at large! Who knows what else he’s been up to while also supporting Decanee from the shadows? Can the GrandChase foil the Demon God’s plans and maintain the balance of the world?
Let’s see act by act, what World 10 has in store for us!
Don’t forget, World 9 Pandemonium difficulties will merge into one difficulty when the World 10 update arrives. Try to clear as much of the Challenge difficulty on World 9 before the World 10 update arrives. You will not be eligible for the changed rewards after update if you cleared World 9 only on Normal difficulty.

Part 2: Core Content Improvements and Reward Changes
We are changing core content to provide hero growth resources and materials to encourage playing these contents at least once per regular daily/weekly cycles in a way that contributes directly and tangibly towards progression.
In addition, we adjusted the difficulty and acquisition rates of these resources for hero growth.
■ Daily Defense Changes
- Daily Defense will change its name to ‘Defense Mode’.
- Defense Mode will be available after you clear [4-6] 'To the Temple' in adventures.
- Defense Mode can be played from Ranks 1 to 5 for each class.
- The rewards obtained from Defense Mode has been changed. (Class Awakening Cube, Class Chaser Crystal)
- Defense Mode can only be accessed through ‘Defense Mode Entry Ticket’.
- Every day at reset, you will be provided up to 3 entry tickets for free. However, if you already have 3 or more tickets, you will not acquire any additional tickets.
- You can use Gems to buy 3 additional Defense Mode Entry Tickets per day.
- Clear ticket missions have been added. After you have completed the clear ticket mission, use a dungeon clear ticket to instant complete it in the future.
- Auto Repeat Battle feature has been added.
■ Annihilation Changes
- Annihilation will be available after clearing [10-6] ' Dr. Molly's Dangerous Duty' in adventures.
- Annihilation can be played from Rank 1 to 5.
- Rewards obtained from Annihilation has been changed. (‘Annihilation Coin’)
Annihilation Coin can be exchanged for Chaser Cubes and Soul Imprint Cubes.
- Annihilation can only be accessed through ‘Annihilation Entry Ticket’.
- Every day at reset, you will be provided up to 3 entry tickets for free. However, if you already have 3 or more tickets, you will not acquire any additional tickets.
- You can use Gems to buy 3 additional Annihilation Entry Tickets per day.
- Clear ticket missions have been added. After you have completed the clear ticket mission, use a dungeon clear ticket to instant complete it in the future.
■ Wizard’s Labyrinth Changes
- Wizard’s Labyrinth will be available after clearing [3-3] ‘Creators of the Fog’ in adventures.
- Wizard’s Labyrinth can be played from Rank 1 to 5.
- Rewards obtained from Wizard’s Labyrinth have been changed. (Evolution Cube, Prestige Potion or Advanced Prestige Potion, Blessings of Valor)
- Each time you clear Wizard’s Labyrinth, you will earn 1 ‘Wizard’s Labyrinth Token’. When you have 2 ‘Wizard’s Labyrinth Tokens’, you can acquire a S Rank 4 Star Hero Select Ticket.
- Wizard’s Labyrinth can only be accessed through ‘Wizard’s Labyrinth Entry Ticket’.
- Every day at reset, you will be provided up to 1 entry ticket for free. However, if you already have 1 or more tickets, you will not acquire any additional tickets.
- You can use Gems to buy 1 additional Wizard’s Labyrinth Entry Ticket per day.
- Clear ticket missions have been added. After you have completed the clear ticket mission, use a dungeon clear ticket to instant complete it in the future.
■ Wanted dungeon Changes
- Lv. 120 Wanted Criminal difficulty has been lowered to Lv. 80.
- Gold reward has been increased.
- Every day at reset, you will be provided up to 1 ‘Wanted Bounty Collection Ticket’ for free. However, if you already have 1 or more tickets, you will not acquire any additional tickets.
- You can use Gems to buy 1 additional Wanted Bounty Collection Ticket per day.
- For each Wanted Criminal, after you have collected their bounty once from defeating 100, you can then use dungeon clear ticket to instant complete future bounties.

■ Adventure Dungeon Changes
- Energy required to enter Adventure Dungeons and Boss Dungeons have been doubled.
Normal dungeon required energy per battle: 4 -> 8
Boss dungeon required energy per battle: 6 -> 12
- Hard Mode has been removed.
- Adventure Dungeon rewards have been changed.
Main Rewards: Chaser Crystal, Awakening Cube, Blessings of Valor
Other Rewards: Evolution Cube, Hero EXP, A rank Hero, Gold, Magic Enchant Material, Rune, Altar of Time Reward Exchange Ticket, Raid Set Equipment Crafting Material
(Example: ‘(Challenge) 34-9 How to complete a melody’ dungeon rewards)
- Threads of Connection drop rates has been doubled.
- Adventure dungeon star mission rewards have been partially changed.
- World 5 – World 9 star missions and rewards have been reset. After completing star missions, you will be able to receive these rewards.
- The worlds that are getting their star mission reset will take into account your adventure dungeon progress, up to the world you have cleared. For example, if the last adventure dungeon you cleared was on World 8, the star missions will reset from World 5 up to World 8 adventure you have cleared.
- Star missions from World 2 to World 5 such as “Clear with 3 or less party members” and “Use party skills 0 times“ will be replaced with DPS missions instead.
■ Chaser Dungeon Removed
- Chaser Dungeon has been removed.
- You will no longer obtain Chaser Keystones from using energy.
- Any Chaser Keystones you have not claimed from before the update will be sent to your mail after converting at a rate of 240 energy accumulated per Chaser Keystone.
■ Boss Attack Dungeon Changes
- Boss Attack Dungeon rewards have been increased.
- Chaser Crystals required to craft Boss Attack Entry Ticket have been increased.
Before: to craft Boss Attack Entry Ticket 10 times, Chaser Crystal x100 for each class was required.
After: to craft Boss Attack Entry Ticket 10 times, Chaser Crystal x200 for each class is required.
- In light of increased boss attack dungeon rewards and increased ticket crafting cost,
the number of tickets you currently possess will be altered according to the number of materials you used to craft those tickets.
■ Hero’s Tower Changes
- Some of Hero’s Tower rewards have been changed.
- Hero’s Tower UI has been changed.
- Consecutive battle feature has been added. If you fail to clear with 3 stars, consecutive battle will end.
■ Trial Tower Changes
- Some of Trial Tower rewards have been changed.
- Trial Tower UI has been changed.

■ Dimension Boss Summon Rewards Change
- Dimensional Boss Summon rewards have been changed.

- Prana rewarded from Guild War and Guild Tournament has been replaced with Gold instead.
- Prana will be rewarded for guild wars that started before 8/17 maintenance.
All guild wars that started after 8/17 maintenance will reward Gold.
■ Epilogue Rewards Change
- Monster Cards have been removed from Epilogue rewards and Gold rewards have been changed.
- World Boss Entry will be temporarily restricted from 8/16 (Mon) 00:00 - 8/17 (Tue) maintenance.
World Boss weekly ranking reward from previous week will be processed and sent to mail after the maintenance according to reward standards before the changes.
Previous week’s records will be reset after maintenance.
■ Berkas’ Lair Changes
- Evostone reward has been replaced with Awakening Cube.
- ‘My Ranking’ tab has been added. You can check out rankings of players who have placed similarly to you.
- Berkas’ Lair Rankings will have more divisions with rewards scaled appropriately.
- Entry to Hell’s Furnace will be restricted from 8/16 (Mon) 00:00 ~ 8/17 (Tue) maintenance.
Hell’s Furnace weekly ranking reward from previous week will be processed and sent to mail after the maintenance according to reward standards before the changes.
