Pokémon GO: Gift Event
From now until August 19th, you and your friends will be able to send even more gifts than ever before in Pokémon GO. You’ll be able to stock up on a total of 20 gifts — and you’ll be able to send up to 30 gifts daily. That’s a whole lot of gifts, so don’t forget to check out Pokestops and stock up.
There’s a reason your gift-giving potential has been upgraded. There are various benefits for giving gifts — and receiving gifts, too! Any eggs received as a gift only require 2km to hatch. You might think that these 2km Eggs aren’t that valuable, but they’re secretly 7km eggs. All eggs received give 7km rewards from a hatch, and they’ll retain that bonus even after the event is over. Any eggs you receive until August 19th will be much easier to hatch than normal, and give great rewards.
‼️Lounge Guidelines Change‼️
The lounge guidelines have been amended to add the following:
⚠️ WARNING! ⚠️
Unique to Pokémon GO, we have the issue of spoofing, also known as faking your GPS location. For all here, we need to let you know that we do not condone the practice. For Niantic, the Pokémon GO developers, it is considered as cheating. Spoofing and trading Pokémon with spoofing accounts can get you permanently banned from the game. Please keep this in mind if you choose to take this risk.
We are not banning the practice of spoofing, but simply trying to warn of the dangers Mooties take on within Pokémon GO by spoofing or actively trading spoofed Pokémon. Just another thing to keep in consideration.

Hey everyone, so this is RavenSword! I got back to playing Pokémon Go last year and couldn’t stop. Still can’t. It’s just one of those amazing and fun games. I got to 300 Pokémon and decided to be a bit of a goofball with some of the renaming them after a year to make some references. Regardless, Pokèmon is amazing and so was the original show. There’s nothing that Pokémon can’t make awesome. #PokemonisLife
Nintendo Switch Lite Pokemon Edition Coming After Regular Colors
The Nintendo Switch Lite is a new handheld-only model of the Switch, with a release date set for this September. Three different color options will be available, but those who are patient will get a fourth option in November, and it might be the best-looking one of the punch. To coincide with the release of Switch's Pokemon Sword and Shield, Nintendo will release a special edition, Pokemon-themed version of the Switch Lite.
It will release on November 8 for $200, the same price as the other Nintendo Switch Lite models. Sword and Shield are not included; you'll have to buy those games separately when they arrive on November 15.
The other three Switch Lite models, in yellow, gray, and turquoise, are coming on September 20. That means if you want the Pokemon version you'll have to wait a little while.
POPULAR Special Hat Pikachu Returns to Pokemon Go this Week
To celebrate this year’s last Pokemon Go Fest, Niantic has decided to bring back several of the special hat versions of Pikachu. Until August 12th at 1 am PST you will be able to catch versions of Pikachu wearing Santa hats, detective caps, party hats, witch hats, flower crowns, summer straw hats, and Ash Ketchum’s original hat. The special Pikachu available will change depending on the day.
