What other starter choice is there? 😁
I mean which starter do you choose? Lmao
Taking Advantage of Pokemon Go Fest Make-Up Day
Thanks to a technical hitch on the day of the event, Pokemon Go will be seeing a make-up day on August 16th (11 am - 2 pm) for a portion of it’s 2020 Fest for anyone who had already purchased tickets for it. While it may have been annoying at the time to have these issues crop up, now players will be able to participate in parts of the event with all the knowledge of how to take advantage of the bonuses. Let’s go over what will be included in the make-up day and how you can make the most out of your time.
There will be 3 habitats reappearing, each for a 1-hour time slot. The first of these is Fire, which will show an increased amount of the following Pokemon in the wild:
- Marowak (Alola)
Additionally, if you catch 20+ Fire Pokemon during the event, you should get 1000 XP and a special Charizard encounter.
Next is Water, which will work similarly, with the following Pokemon appearing in large volumes:
Catching 20 Water Pokemon should net you 1000 XP and a Blastoise encounter.
The Friendship biome, though, works a little differently. Sure, you’ll still see a bunch of Pokemon for that specific typology, but it also improves the gifts you both give and receive during this time. You should definitely save up some gifts to send to your friends during this time period and consider saving some gifts to open until this hour sets in.
Additionally, once you send a gift, you should receive a bonus to your gameplay for that hour. So send a gift and wait until you receive a notice letting you know your bonus before opening any gifts you’ve received, as it can make a world of difference. Some gifts could even hold Rare Candy!
The Friendship Pokemon you’ll see are:
Lastly, make sure you open your free gift at some point during the day. Niantic will be giving players 2 Incense and 2 Remote Raid Passes.
How will you be prepping for the make-up event? Let us know your plans down below!

What the Nintendo Leaks Tell Us About Pokemon
Nintendo has always been very secretive and uptight regarding their properties, rarely allowing anyone insight into what goes into the creation of their games, what things have changed, and the various designs folks are working on. But with the gigantic leaks released recently, players have gotten a never-before-seen, behind the curtain look at a good chunk of Nintendo history. From Super Mario 64 to Star Fox 64 to Super Mario World to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, there’s seemingly nothing that is safe, and Pokemon, of course, was a prime target of these leaks. Though we didn’t get much, what we did get the chance to see is telling as to how Nintendo games come to be.
The biggest form of leaks came from information regarding Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. An older iteration of the game revealed a number of strange, awkward sprites of some of our favorite Pokemon, including a particularly harrowing version of Celebi. Rotom in particular looks very odd, basically a ball of sparks with arms. It’s fascinating being able to see every beta version of the Diamond and Pearl Pokemon and seeing what stayed relatively the same and what received massive changes.
This iteration also shows the process in which Pokemon goes about creating their line-up. Clearly, there was a lot of Pokemon that was fully fleshed out at this point of development, meaning that Nintendo tends to start asking for updated versions as the Pokemon roster is rounded out.
Along with this, a huge deposit of gender-specific sprites was revealed, differentiating the gender of a given Pokemon visually through poses. Many of these are high quality, and it's interesting to see an idea that was fairly fleshed out and with this many assets get put out for pasture. While they look great, I’m sure that including these would become a huge burden on the amount of content that could be put into the game outside of this.
This shows that Game Freak while trying new and different ideas to add to games, can sink a ton of resources into a specific thing only to have it get thrown away, as it just didn’t service the game enough. It’s a shame these sprites didn’t get used elsewhere, but it makes sense why this would be the case.
Perhaps the biggest piece of info that could be gleaned, though, is a canceled Pokemon MMO title. Designed for the GameBoy Advance of all things, players would be able to plug their GBAs into the PC, playing a game online with other players using their GBA as a controller. Online tournaments, treasure hunts, and general chats were meant to be included alongside the usual Pokemon fare. There was a solo, offline mode intended, but the main bulk of Pokemon would have been exclusive to online play. And much like Pokemon Go, what region the player lived in could dictate what Pokemon they could find and catch.
This shows, as everyone knows, Nintendo’s ambitious scope when it comes to their game designs, but also how sometimes they can reach for the stars but come up with nothing but space dust. It’s clear that this would have been a huge gaming endeavor, but I’m unsurprised that it fell by the wayside, especially when using the GBA as a primary component of the design.
What are your thoughts on these leaks? Let me know in the comments below!
I am looking for the shiny fossils from galar
Are you ready have one of the three I need the other three if you have them I will trade you for them
BIGEST Meltan Giveaway (EVER)
Here is the BIGEST Meltan Giveaway EVER (that I know of)
I will be giving away 2 FULL BOXS OF MELTAN
You heard me right 2 ENTIRE BOXS, FILLED with Meltan
And instead of giving them all to one person, it will be split between 4 people (half a box each, which is 15 percent each)
(Ps. Sry for any spelling errors)
But to make it different than any bland giveaway, you will gain points, by doing certain tasks assigned to all of you, the more points, the better, all of them are optional (expect for the first 2), you are not required to do anything (like I said, except for the first 2), but your chances will be super low of winning, so I suggest doing a few at bare minimum
So here is the point system
Every 3 points is a ticket entered into the wheel (meaning a higher chance) any left over points will automatically turn into a ticket, for example, I have 16 points, there are 5 3’s in there so it’s 5 tickets, but there’s one left over, this will turn into a ticket, so you will have 6
1 point) Comment your fav mon (one of two required)
2 points) like the post (other required one)
All after this are optional
2 points) in your comment show your fav gif
2 points) in your comment include your top 5 emojis
3 points) sub to my yt channel (link in bio soon, dm me proof, I can’t see who subs unless there subscriptions are public)
3 points) join my discord (link in bio soon)
3 points) follow me
3 points) in your comment, say what ATLA bending art you would wanna be
3 points) comment your fav food
5 points) in your comment, say “shuckle sucks, Meltan is best”, something along those lines (some of you will get the joke lmao)
5 points) in your comment, include your fave, movie, song, and TV show
5 points) comment a suggestion for next giveaway
5 points) comment ideas for a new shiny mon
6 points) tell a joke in your comment (no dad jokes allowed)
7 points) include “this” in the end of your comment to confirm your reading carefully
10 points) defeat me in a SWSH pokemon battle (must be singles, only one mythical/legendary, Wilbur be available to battle till tomorrow morning sry)
15 points) bonus for completing all
I may add more to the list soon, if I do, I’ll make a post telling y’all
I can’t wait to see y’all enter
The 4 winners will spilt it up (half a box of each)
Giveaway ends in 1 week, August 12th
I CANT WAIT :D :D :D
If you have any questions then just comment :D
And yes the gif at the top I made

I can't believe I got all of these shiny pokemon in such a short amount of time
Planning for Pokemon Go's Upcoming Spotlights and Research Days
With a new month comes new opportunities to get cool Pokemon and cool stuff in Pokemon Go. With the announcement of the Spotlights and Research Days, we can prep in advance to plan for whatever’s coming next. Let’s take a gander at what’s new so we can be ready for some awesome bonuses on the horizon.
For the entire month of August, players can collect Field Research Stamps in hopes of encountering the great, the mighty, the legendary… Scraggy? Certainly, not the most exciting Breakthrough Pokemon we’ve seen thus far, which is a shame. Still, it’s worth doing for the free Pokemon interaction and whatever other goodies might be given away along with it.
Tuesdays at 6 pm will be the Spotlight times for the month, and while 1 has already come and gone, we still have 3 others to engage with. On August 11th, Sableye will be featured, and you’ll earn 2x as much Candy as usual if you transfer it during this Spotlight. Next will be Venipede, earning 2x the XP if evolved during its Spotlight hour. And finally, Geodude will earn you 2x the Stardust for catching it during the final Spotlight hour. While you can’t really plan for Geodude beyond having Pokeballs on hand, catching Venipedes and Sableyes in advance should help with your efforts during those hours.
Finally, we’re going to get to see some specialty weeks for having defeated Team Rocket so thoroughly. Currently, we’re in the midst of Dragon Week until August 7th, giving players an increased chance to encounter Dragon-types during Raids, including Rayquaza at Level 5 Raids. Keep your eyes peeled for a Shiny Deino!
Then, from August 7th - 14th, Enigma Week will start, which seems a little more… mysterious. It seems like Pokemon that will be found during Raids are more thematically tied to mystery than tied to a particular type. Deoxys will be found during Level 5 Raids, and a Shiny Staryu can be caught!
Finally, from August 14th - 21st, some brand-new Unova Pokemon will be making their Pokemon Go debuts, including Sewaddle, Cottonee, Emolga, and my personal favorite Pokemon, Bouffalant. Genesect will be the legendary in Level 5 Raids, and Shiny Roggenrolas will be on the move.
Armed with this knowledge, you should be ready to schedule out your Pokemon Go time in a way that allows you to take advantage of what’s headed your way. How will you be spending your time in-game? Let me know in the comments!

Tips to Help New Pokémon Go Players!
Pokémon Go has been going strong for a while now. Due to the circumstances we’re in, the game has received a large number of new and returning players. Like myself, many returning players have a lot to take in and new players have everything to learn. I’ve made a list of a bunch of things you should know about the game before you start playing or when you come back!
1. Add Friends
This was one of my major setbacks for about two weeks when I returned to the game. I would wait a few days to get my daily Pokéballs and I’d use them up super quick. Unless I got a level up, I’d be out of Pokéballs extremely quick and found the game boring. Don’t let this discourage you, as adding people to the game will be a quick solution! There’s so many groups out there on different social media platforms that you’re sure to find plenty of people who you can send gifts back and forth to! Each gift has items in it to help, including the beloved Pokéballs that we so desperately need. So add as many people as you’ll find yourself catching Pokémon for much longer!
2. Transfer Your Duplicates
I started most of my Pokémon hunting in the same general areas. Because of that, I’d find myself working with the same Pokémon day after day, depending on the weather. I’d recommend getting rid of the lowest CP ones since there’s little to no use for keeping the lowest ones. You’ll get candies because of that and you evolve your Pokémon quicker, that way.
3. Buddy Up Your Next Evolution
What I mean by this tip is to buddy up with a Pokémon that you want to evolve, next. You’re better off choosing a Pokémon that only needs 25 or 50 candies, rather than 100+. The reason behind this is that your buddy Pokémon will find you candies of their own type, meaning quicker evolution for them, whether you’ve been catching more of them or not. It’s a quicker way to discover every Pokémon out there and it’s super useful for those harder to find Pokémon.
4. Throw Away Some Potions
Unless you’re a hardcore player that’s going out to every raid and battle you can find, you’re not going to need as many potions as you’ll end up getting from all of your friend, Pokéstops, and from leveling up. Keep your bag from getting cluttered and consider getting rid of a bunch of potions so they don’t leave you with a full bag. It’s not worth losing other gifts over, trust me.
5. Raid with Some Friends
Raids offer chances to capture a Pokémon (the one you beat in the raid) and also give you the chance to have some fun with other players. That’s because some of the raids aren’t going to be a walk-in-the-park for you. If you know someone who plays Pokémon Go also, then go to a raid together so you can work on it simultaneously and take the stress off of you and off of them! Plus, it’s a lot more fun when you do things with someone!
6. Trade for Easier Evolutions and Collections
Every day you can do a special trade with someone, meaning you can trade Pokémon that the other person does not have to add to each others’ collections. Utilize this so you can collect the Pokémon you’ve had a hard time finding. Also, certain Pokémon can be evolved when traded with someone. The catch is that you can’t trade them back. I did this with my Graveler the other day with another friend’s Graveler. We both got our Golem Pokémon without having to collect 400 candies but, on the downside, they can’t have their stronger Golem back as I had promised. Keep that in mind!
Hopefully these little tricks help you in your collection and also help you build a stronger team, also. If you want anything else covered, let me know and I’ll be sure to go over it! I’m enjoying the game a lot more and would be glad to have you on my friends list so we can send each other gifts and help each other out! Good luck, trainers!
(My trainer nickname is Zephyros007 for anyone who wants to add me!)
Why Pokemon Shouldn't Visit Their Hometown

How to Best Prepare for the Pokemon Go Updates
With Pokemon Fest 2020 having come and gone, folks are already looking to the future as to what updates we should be expecting to Pokemon Go in the near future. And while Niantic had some comments on what we might be seeing, many of us are still in the dark as to what’s next and how to prepare for it. So let’s take a look at what we do know and how we can prepare ourselves for the future.
The biggest news is that at some point, the Pokemon Go level cap is going to be upped for 40 to 50. While this may not mean much to some, this is an exciting prospect to get players to return to the game. I know I’ll be finding myself caught back up in the grind when this comes to be.
Matthew Slemon, the Senior Project Manager on the game, has gone on record stating:
“Reaching level 41 and more will still require effort. Levels are supposed to show how much effort you put into the game. But it won’t be as easy as grinding EP in the way you are used to. The experience will be a little different and we look forward to saying more about it later this year.”
Niantic has also suggested that they are working hard to make these levels not just more of the same, but some special to aspire to.
Some users have begun to speculate what rewards we might see from these levels based on what we’ve been given in the past. While these assumptions are educated, I’m inclined to disagree with what’s on show here. Surely if these levels are going to be harder and unique, we’ll get special loot along with it.
The easiest way to prep for this, of course, is to make sure your character is good and leveled up in time for whenever this update is launched. Gathering items that will assist in the level up process will also make the process that much smoother, although, as we’ve acknowledged above, how one will level up has yet to be seen.
The other big update that players have discovered is the promise of Mega Evolutions. After some users had found info regarding this in the data of the game, Matt has gone on record saying:
"Yeah, we’re really excited for Mega Evolution. It’s been really important to us as developers and fans of the franchise to get this one right. So it’s something that we’ve been spending time on."
The biggest thing to be gleaned from this is that players will be able to mega evolve the Pokemon they currently have rather than being forced to hunt them in the wild. Because of this, players should make sure they’ve already caught whatever Pokemon they're looking to mega evolve down the road.
What will you be doing to try and arm yourself for the upcoming additions? Let me know your thoughts down below!
