Ultra Bonus Event
Throughout the past few months, many of you have worked hard to meet the goals of Professor Willow’s Global Research Challenge. During the Dortmund Safari Zone event in June, Pokémon GO Fest in July, and the Yokosuka Safari Zone event in August, Trainers from all around the world completed a variety of research tasks for Professor Willow with dedication and enthusiasm. And now it’s time to celebrate with a special Ultra Bonus Event!
First, starting September 13 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT), Trainers all over the world will be able to encounter three Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region!. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in Raid Battles until September 20. And if you’re lucky, you may be able to encounter their Shiny forms! Also, Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region will appear more frequently all over the world and show up more frequently in Raid Battles until September 30!
And there’s more! On September 20 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT), Mewtwo will come to Raid Battles for the first time ever! Mewtwo has previously only been available to Trainers invited to EX Raids, but now all Trainers will be able to challenge the Legendary Psychic-type Pokémon until October 23 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT). So prepare yourself, and don’t miss your opportunity to encounter this powerful Pokémon before it disappears!
Finally, there is one more special surprise: Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros will be joining the Alolan Pokémon in 7 km Eggs through the end of September! These Pokémon have not migrated to many parts of the world, so don’t miss this unique opportunity to send Gifts to friends and finally achieve a complete Kanto Pokédex!
Thank you, Trainers, for working together to complete Professor Willow’s research. There is plenty more to explore, and many new Pokémon to discover. So let’s get out there and GO!

POPULAR Pokémon Go - Friend Code Exchange
**EDIT: Well, now use the entire Trading board!**
Let’s streamline things a bit here, to stop us from having a bunch of posts specifically for giving out Pokémon GO trainer codes. If you want others on Moot to be your friend, leave your code here in a comment.
Any codes given out in standalone posts in the past have been moved here. If you want it removed, just ask. As of now though, posting in the main lounge is fine.

Pokémon GO Summer Tour 2018!
As Trainers from all over the world participate in live events during Pokémon GO Summer Tour 2018, we’re happy to bring amazing in-game opportunities for Trainers everywhere!
Take a look at some of the exciting things coming up on our calendar.
• Professor Willow’s Global Challenge
Professor Willow needs your help! On the weekends of our special live events, Trainers from all over the world will be tasked to complete Professor Willow’s Global Challenge! The challenge is simple: complete Field Research tasks!
For the purposes of this challenge, the global community will be split into four parts: The Americas; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; the Asia-Pacific region; and the main research site itself. Each area will have to complete a set number of Field Research tasks, and if the goals are met, Trainers everywhere will be able to enjoy some amazing bonuses.
There will be three opportunities to complete these Field Research goals throughout the summer, so get ready to work together! At the end of each event, if all goals are met for each area, an even bigger bonus will be unlocked, so stay tuned for more information on this exciting reward!
We’ll let the Professor explain it in his own words:
Thanks so much for your help in gathering important Field Research. Your amazing contributions have already furthered my work, and I have a feeling that at the end of this challenge, something amazing will happen! I wonder what it could be...
I’ve put together this handy chart to help track your progress:
So best of luck, Trainers, and I hope you enjoy my challenge! I can’t wait to see what you’ll find. Time to get up and GO!
Thanks, Professor! Trainers, we can’t wait to see you out in the field. Get ready to do some research!
• Get Ready for Pokémon GO Safari Zone at Dortmund!
The first event in Professor Willow’s Research Challenge will occur in Dortmund, Germany, during the Safari Zone event. While there is plenty to do in the Dortmund area during this free event, such as encountering Unown and Corsola throughout beautiful Westfalenpark and exciting Raid Battles happening around the city, Trainers worldwide will be able to join in the fun!
In addition to completing Field Research tasks provided by Professor Willow, Trainers all over the world will see increased appearances of the Grass- and Poison-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region, Roselia! Perhaps you’ll have a chance at catching a Shiny Roselia sprouting purple flowers.
So mark your calendars for June 30 and July 1 to take advantage of this cool celebration!
• Celebrate Pokémon GO Fest around the World!
Pokémon GO Fest 2018 on July 14 and 15 will be the next stop for fun! Trainers without a ticket to the event won’t be able to see any Pokémon or PokéStops in Lincoln Park, but Trapinch, Feebas, and other Pokémon featured in the habitats of Pokémon GO Fest will appear more frequently all over the world during that weekend.
The Cheering Pokémon, Plusle and Minun, will also appear more frequently worldwide as Trainers complete themed Field Research tasks. Catching Plusle and Minun will result in bonus Stardust, and lucky Trainers might even discover their Shiny versions!
The Alolan forms of Diglett and Geodude will be in on the fun, too. Beginning that weekend Alolan Diglett and Alolan Geodude will be appearing globally for the first time in Pokémon GO. Don’t miss the chance to encounter the unique forms of these Pokémon.
There will be so much to do on the weekend of Pokémon GO Fest, you won’t want to miss it!

Trainers, even more surprises are coming. Keep an eye out for news as we get closer to each event and stay tuned as we continue to announce late-summer events and more!

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon Guide
I know most of you gamers do not like to use guides while playing games but sometimes they are pretty helpful/useful at certain areas of the game. Here is an article written by Christoper Walden, Hirun Crier, and Tom Orry that will give you helpful tips on what to do whenever you get stuck in the game!
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Beginner's Guide
If you weren't already aware, at the very beginning of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon, you'll be presented with a choice of three started Pokemon from Professor Kukui. These three Pokemon are Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, and we'll outline each of them just below:
Rowlet - The Grass-type Pokemon, Rowlet is fairly well balanced by the time you evolve it, but it is very weak to Fire-type Pokemon.
Litten - Litten is the Fire-type Pokemon of the group, and excels in general destructivity, although any Water attacks will hurt it heavily.
Popplio - The Water-type Popplio is weak to Electric-type Pokemon, although if you can evolve it into its final form, it'll have a few nice Special moves at its disposal.
But once you've got your hands on your starter Pokemon, what should you do? Well, we'd recommend you head out into the wilds and level up your main Pokemon, although you've got to remember that you shouldn't play favorites with your chosen Pokemon. If you neglect leveling up your other Pokemon, you'll find you have an incredibly weak team later on in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon, and what you want is a well balanced team, so make sure to keep switching up your Pokemon fairly regularly.
Aside from this, we'd also recommend not running away from wild Pokemon battles early on in your time with Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. Instead, you should use these opportunities to level up your Pokemon, and simply head to the nearest hospital whenever you need to, in order to get your team healed up. You should also take on any Pokemon Trainers you encounter early on, as these battles give your Pokemon way more XP points than battles with wild Pokemon, providing that you make it out victorious, of course.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon How to Farm Money Guide
You’re never going to be hurting for money when it comes to keeping on top of revives and potions, but just how can you earn enough to buy all those clothes? All those TMs? All those other exotic items?
It’s not too difficult if you have a team that can pull it off. If you’re in the Ultra Sun and Moon post-game, it won’t take you long at all! There are a few preparations to make before battling, however.
First, you’ll want to make sure you have the Amulet Coin item. If this item is being held by a pokémon that actively participates in the battle and survives to the end, the amount of money received at the end is doubled. It’s a must-have if you’re planning to farm for money.
You can find it very early on it the game, in the Paniola Ranch. It’s located just to the right of the Daycare Centre.
Happy Hour is a very exclusive move in that it’s impossible to obtain without the use of an event pokémon. It’s worth trying to get one though, because simply using the move is enough to double that battle’s prize money.
Fortunately it’s currently very easy to obtain, as the Rockruff that you need to evolve a Dusk Form Lycanroc happens to know the move. You can read up on how to acquire this Rockruff in our Dusk Form Lycanroc guide.
Roto Prize Money:
While hard to acquire without manipulation, the Roto Prize Money power triples your earnings for a period of ten minutes at a time, and you’ll get two for landing on it in the Roto Loto.
Fortunately, there’s a way to ensure you land on it, but it’ll take some time if you’re unlucky. If you save the game while Rotom’s eyes are flashing on the bottom screen, you can simply soft reset the game in order to roll again. Therefore, you can keep rolling until you get this power, so long as you have the patience.
Where to farm:
The easiest place to farm for money is at the Elite 4. As the Roto Prize Money power lasts for 10 minutes, you can squeeze in every battle here if your team is strong enough. By the time you’re farming for money, they will be!
With the Roto Prize Money power active, and with the Amulet Coin on an active pokémon, you’ll be earning a whopping 79,200 per Elite 4 battle. If you have the elusive Lucky Hour, that’s over 100k per battle! Do this a few times and you’ll be a millionaire before you know it!
I highly recommend you read the entire article which is posted here:
Pokémon Ultra Sun Champion Battle + Elite Four (Full Battle Video)
Check out Verlisify take down the Elite Four in the new Pokémon Ultra Sun. I love the battle scenes in the new games, its crazy to see how far the game has come since it first released in the 90's.
The last trainer, Kau, looks super tough to take down (especially his lvl 60 Incineroar) but he turned out to be no match for that lvl 65 Necrozma. I gotta say tho, Verlisify's lvl 76 Rayquaza is ridiculously OP... one of the best Pokémon in the entire franchise. What Pokémon do you guys plan to use when you take on the Elite Four?
