MJ here and i wanted to share this with everyone that i got a shiny Kyogre on my first legendary raid for raid hour today and he was the only one i caught because everyone in my dang town speed raids and doesn’t say a darn thing on discord which is really annoying and disrespectful in my opinion. While they’re already accomplished Pokémon GO Trainers, the professor wants to make sure they’re ready to take on any trouble that might come their way.
Each team leader will be responsible for rallying Trainers to complete research both around the world and at each of the three Pokémon GO Fest events this summer. Complete the Global Challenge research alongside the Trainers at every Pokémon GO Fest, and unlock exciting bonuses designed by none other than your very own team leaders the following week! If all three teams and the event attendees meet the research goals, a special bonus Raid Day will be unlocked during the bonus week. And if all goals are met by the end of summer, an even more exciting bonus will be unlocked!

Pokémon Direct Highlights
Fairly short video from the Pokémon Direct live stream, but it gave a lot of beautiful new information about Gen 8; Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield! I’ll add the full stream link at the bottom, but first: the trailer!

First, let’s introduce a few new Pokémon into the fold:
My favorite part so far? The scale of this new Pokémon world, with large expanses of wild land where you can encounter Pokémon in unique ways - and at unique times.
And yes, at least when out in the wild, it seems almost like a true open world rpg:
And there’s a new unique feature, Co-Op raids against giant “Dynamax” Pokémon. One member of your Pokémon raid group has the ability to Dynamax one of their own Pokémon for three turns, drastically increasing the damage they can do in the raid. Some Pokémon can only be caught from Dynamax raids in the open world, so prepare your friends for a whole new experience! (Also, gym battles will involve the Dynamax feature as well, adding a new level of strategy.)
It wouldn’t be a Pokémon game without new legendary Pokémon, so we gain Zacian and Zamazenta!
