Best way is to watch other pro players play csgo you kind of get the idea how to move in the game. Aslo train your aim through deathwatches or custom made maps this would make you improve alot.

when i started csgo last year all i played was casual.... but adapted quickly since i'm used to fps games! my friends who started playing usually play casual and arms race (arms race because they can get used to different type of weapons which helps a lot!). during my time playing a lot of casual, i met friends who helps me improve to play competitive. they told me tapping instead of spraying helps more if you can't control the spray. there are also custom maps on workshop that could help you know how to use utilities and help know spots around the make so on forth (like yprac maps)
