PlayDapp, a blockchain game project that drew attention after being listed on Coinbase, the largest virtual asset exchange in the U.S., is speeding up its attack on the global blockchain game market through the RPG Along with the Gods: Knights of the Dawn’s (Along with the Gods) Play to earn Model.
P2E games, which let players money while playing, are a new concept of game. This allows game users to earn profits through gameplay using blockchain technology.
Blockchain game service platform ‘PlayDapp’ announced on the 20th of October that the opening date of the P2E server for the RPG ‘Along with the Gods’ will be October 27th and start the NFT pre-staking service immediately (excluding Korea and China). NFT staking refers to a service in the form of depositing NFTs for a certain period of time and receiving interest and rewards as rewards.
PlayDapp’s NFT staking is an essential process to participating in P2E games and was introduced to transparently distribute profits to users while preventing service-related interviewing issues and allowing participants to claim proper compensation.
Users who have completed NFT pre-staking can immediately participate in the P2E-only server, which will open on the 27th, and receive daily and weekly compensation for participation.
Users who have staked 3 SR grade PlayDapp Town PLAYZ NTF will receive 5 PLA as a daily reward when completing daily missions. Users who have additionally staked +1 SSR level NFT can receive up to 5000 PLA (PLA) as a weekly ranking reward for participating in PVP (tournament).
The PlayDapp Town PLAYZ NTF required for staking can be obtained through synthesis or purchased on the Polygon version of the PlayDapp’s C2C marketplace PlayDapp.com.

These are PlayDapp's interoperable NFTs, whose pre-sale was previously featured on DappRadar. PLAYZ NFT come in three grades of rarity, R, SR & SSR.
PlayDapp's focus is on gaming, and Along with the God's move into deeper Play to Earn mechanics reflects this. Players can stake and complete simple daily missions to earn PLA or take on other players in PVP in Major Arena and win larger shares of PLA.
For Along with the Gods' Play to Earn, players just need three SR grade NFT to earn daily rewards of PLA. One staked SSR NFT is needed for weekly rewards from PvP, and importantly all staking is lossless. NFT used are still under the players' control.
PLAYZ NFT can be acquired in the PlayDapp marketplace. And with PlayDapp's recently launched Merge and Upgrade feature NFT owners can take lower value NFT and combine them to form higher grade NFT, unlocking earning potential for Play to Earn.

With the new blockchain system, you'll be able to convert certain in-game assets into NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on the Polygon network using the newly created Seal function from the Item Manager icon, now located on the Home screen of Along with the Gods. You'll also have the option of Sealing from the Heroes menu while viewing an eligible Hero or Rune.
You will be able to Seal Max Level 6-star Ancient God Heroes (Styx, Atmos, Alexis, Mei, Prospera, Shu) and Max Level(+15) 6-star Runes. You will require Sealing Scrolls to be able to Seal your Runes and Heroes which can be purchased in-game in the Shop. Select the eligible Hero or Rune you wish to Seal and click Seal Item. Note that you will need to make sure that the asset you're trying to Seal is not currently in use i.e equipped, locked, on a team or on an Investigation.
You will then be taken to the PlayDapp site on your browser. To manage your NFTs you'll need to log in with Portis, a crypto wallet, but it's a quick and easy process. If you're a new user you can simply register with your email. Be sure to take good care of your account details! Make sure you're on the Polygon network as that's the network Along with the Gods uses. You should then be able to manage your Along with the Gods NFT's from your Item Manager portal.
Once the sealing is complete your Hero or Rune will be an NFT that you can now utilize! You can simply tap on an NFT in your Item Manager to view its details and trade or convert it to a game item. NFTs you convert back into game items will be sent to your Inbox in-game and will require a Sealing Scroll to unlock and use.
Along with the Gods NFTs are on the Polygon network so you'll be able to list, buy and sell Along with the Gods NFTs from the Polygon PlayDapp MarketPLAce at market.matic.playdapp.com
The PlayDapp MarketPLAce provides a curated NFT trading experience with customized UI and detailed information for each asset, and is the ultimate trading experience for blockchain gaming!
On the PlayDapp Polygon MarketPLAce you'll need to verify your email and set a nickname before you can transact. If you want to sell for the first time you'll also need to initialize your account for selling and allow the Marketplace to handle your items by selecting 'Trust this app'. When you register on the PlayDapp Marketplace you will receive some free MATIC from us to cover initializing your account and listing. Then you're up and running!

Apart from our NFT Trading and Twitter Hashtag Events, we also have an NFT Generation Champion Event. This article will help guide new players towards reaching the NFT generation stage as quickly and smoothly as possible.
But first, you need to download and install the game if you haven't already, which you can do from Google Play Store.

To become the NFT Generation Champion, you'll need to use the Item Manager to convert in-game items into NFT. Then it's just a simple case of listing them on the dedicated PlayDapp marketplace. The more you convert, the higher you'll climb in the ranking. The higher your rank, the better your rewards, including in-game items, PLA on Polygon and PlayDapp NFTs!
We'll be running the event for 4 weeks, so it's a marathon, not a sprint. And the best thing is, the more you play regular Along with the Gods: Knights of the Dawn, the more valuable items you'll have to convert to NFT.

What's the Best Way to Obtain NFTs for new players?

The best way for new players to generate NFTs is by obtaining 6-star Runes.
Only 6-star Runes that have been fully upgraded to +15 are eligible to be made into NFT's. The star grade of a Rune is immutable and cannot be upgraded. Ancient God Heroes are scarcer and harder to obtain and you'll have to rely on getting lucky with Hero Summon Scrolls or Hero Synthesis.
You can obtain one guaranteed from an Ancient God Hero Scroll. An Ancient God Hero Scroll can be obtained by completing every Hell mode Scenario stage or you can obtain an Ancient God Hero Scroll from completing 7 rounds of Summon Mileage at the Temple of Heroes, which are no mean feats.
You can also Combine for Alexis at the Temple of Heroes to obtain an Ancient God Hero but this requires several natural 5-star Heroes as Combination material.
The best way to obtain 6-star Runes is by farming high-level Raid Boss battles.
To do that you'll need a team strong enough to take on Level 7+ Raid Bosses such as Nhumer and Kraken. However, the drop rate of 6-star Runes becomes noticeably higher once you start completing Level 10–13 Raids.
To help new players get up to speed and start generating NFTs ASAP, we're going to be giving out amazing rewards to all players that will supercharge their progress through the early stages of the game. Logging in regularly, players will receive Prospera Light Shards, collect enough and you will receive a free Ancient God Hero, Prospera. Players will also receive a bunch of free 4-star Evolution Incarnations, Emperor Earth Eggies and Awakening Incarnations.
[What's the quickest and easiest way to acquire Runes?]
You'll want to focus on building up a strong PvE team that can get you through Scenario Mode quickly, as Scenario Mode is the main driver of early game progress and the easiest way to build your team up.
Acquiring Runes from Raids is quicker and more likely to net you NFT-worthy Runes than crafting Runes in the Rune crafting station.
You'll want to have members of your team hit Max Level 6-stars with appropriate Runes and Accessories to ensure you're capable of taking on these high-level Raids.
The Raids we recommend you focus on are the Kraken and Nhumer Raids, as not only are they the easiest Raids to prepare for but they also provide some of the most useful and in-demand Rune types. The other Raid Bosses are doable as well if you have the right team but are either more difficult to prepare for and/or give out less valuable Runes.

Two Heroes you should become familiar with are Melvin and Lin, who can singlehandedly help you take down these Raid bosses when they're fully leveled and evolved. These two Heroes are Raid specialists and can demolish Nhumer and Kraken respectively with their unique characteristics. Melvin is a 3-star Hero who's relatively easy to obtain but he's among the best Heroes in the game and well worth raising.

Lin is a 5-star Hero who you can obtain from the Temple of Heroes through Hero Combination and is arguably the best PvE specialist Hero in the game.

Combined with Prospera, you should have no problem slaying Raid Bosses like Kraken and cruising through Scenario Mode.

One essential technique to ensure your Heroes grow as quickly as possible is to place the Hero you want to level up in a team of Heroes who are at Max Level. Instead of the EXP being shared, all of the EXP will go to that one Hero who can still receive EXP. Load up on those Keys, set to Auto battle and watch your Heroes rack up levels in no time!

Once you've got your Runes you'll want to get some Sealing Scrolls and head to the Item Manager to seal your Runes, which will convert them to Polygon network NFTs. You can then list them on the Marketplace.

The first step you’ll need to take is to connect your wallet. The PlayDapp MarketPLAce is designed to work with MetaMask and Portis. These two wallets will give you the best experience. Agreeing to emails lets you hear all about the awesome events and new listings. You'll also get some free MATIC, which you can use to cover the gas fees, or to buy any super deals!
After you’ve done that you’re free to explore the MarketPLAce in all its glory.

Filter in NFT by their asset type, or the currency it’s listed for. And for DozerFriends specific items you can also filter by star ranking! Helping you find those rarest of NFTs.
Of course, sometimes all that you need is the classic “show me the cheapest thing!” button. We get it, gotta find those deals!
So, we draw your attention to the item top bar on which you’ll see the super simple Sort Order dropdown. Letting you quickly sort all displayed NFTs by price. Helping you to marvel at that super expensive rare NFT or grab that bargain of an NFT.
[ Buying an NFT Item ]
Once you’ve decided exactly which NFT you want it’s incredibly easy to buy it. Just click the “Buy Now” button. Here’s an example from our recently listed PlayDapp Town NFT.
Once you click “Buy Now” you'll get the completing the trade prompt box.
Agree to the request via your wallet to send the Matic or WETH. You can adjust gas fees, but the recommended setting suggested by the wallet is best.
Once all is agreed, you’ll be the owner of the NFT! Awesome.
Please note it can take time, depending on network conditions to complete the sending of the NFT.
Think the NFT is too expensive? You’re in luck!
[ Making an offer ]
Once you’ve decided exactly which NFT you want it’s incredibly easy to make an offer. Just click the “Make an Offer” button and you’ll be taken to the offer page.
The “My Offer” area is really simple. All you need to do is decide what you will offer: PLA or W-ETH, the amount you’re going to offer, and the time in which the NFT owner has to accept the offer.

Complete F2P Beginner’s Guide to AWTG: Part III
Hello Knights! We’ve been receiving a lot of feedback from new players who are being discouraged by early-game hurdles and being unable to progress through the game. We’ve heard your cries and we’re here to help with this progression roadmap guide which will lay out specifically which steps to take to progress through the game as efficiently as possible.
In Part II we covered completing Hard Mode and preparing your Heroes for Hell Mode. In Part III of the guide we will help you progress from the beginning of Hell Mode through to the end game of high level PvP and PvE content.
[Finish Hell Mode up to 15.10]
As you begin Hell Mode you’ll need to start forming a solid team of 6-star Heroes. Don’t worry too much about Zones 19–20 at this stage. These areas are a big step up in difficulty from the rest of Hell Mode and will require you to have a team full of fully upgraded 6-star Heroes to complete.
If you’ve gotten decent Hero Summons and applied upgrades to your Heroes then you shouldn’t be too hard-pressed to progress through Hell mode up to and including Zone 18. You can brute force your way through stages with Gems which revives all your Heroes after they’re defeated. This is going to become a necessity as you get further along into the game and especially in Zones 19 and 20.
Clearing Scenario Mode stages will give you various rewards such as Scrolls and Evolution Incarnations which will help build your team up as well. Utilizing your Friends List is going to be crucial, especially if you’re trying to complete Scenario mode ASAP.
You should also be working on Awakening and Transcending your Heroes, particularly the Heroes who are best at clearing Raids and PvE content, such as Melvin and Lin. If you happen to obtain a top-tier powerhouse Hero such as Patricia, Alexis or Prospera, you should also immediately work on upgrading and Transcending them as they will help you in every facet of the game.
[Opening up the Game]
After finishing the first segment of Hell Mode, you can prioritize what you want to spend your time on. You can choose to continue on in Scenario Mode and try to obtain the Mythical Hero Scrolls and Ancient God Hero Scroll from completing the final level of each Zone. The Ancient God Hero Scroll in particular can really give your progress a massive boost by giving you access to some of the most powerful Heroes in the game, such as Styx, Prospera and Alexis.
You can also choose to focus more heavily on Raids and other content like Sanctum of Strength to gather resources such as Runes and Essences to continue upgrading the team. You should continue to set goals for yourself as you play, such as breaking into Gold class in Arena or completing Floor 100 of the Infinite Tower. This will help give you direction and determine the actions you need to take, such as evolving more Heroes, Awakening and Transcending certain Heroes, obtaining high-level Runes etc.
However, for those of you who wish to truly max out your team and take on the absolute toughest challenges in the game, we recommend farming and hoarding Awakening Incarnations, Essences and Philosopher’s Stones for the purposes of fully Awakening and Transcending your Heroes to Level 66.
To Transcend a Hero you will require a Level 66 Hero that is fully Awakened (including their Leader Skill) as well as one additional copy of that Hero per Transcendence, up to a maximum of three. You will also require Philosopher’s Stones as a resource for Transcendence, with 5-star Heroes requiring 30 Stones per Transcendence.
This will be an essential step if you want to have the necessary strength to take on the highest levels of Hell mode Infinite Tower, which constitute the toughest overall challenge in the game, and the highest rankings of Arena mode. Heroes who aren’t at least fully Awakened and Transcended will be quickly wiped out against elite Arena mode and Infinite Tower enemies. Completing Hell mode Infinite Tower and entering the Hall of Fame will earn you ultimate bragging rights and the knowledge that you’ve conquered the hardest experiences in the game.
You’ll also want to grind the Python Raid for Philosopher Runes, the strongest Rune type in the game and also essential for high-level PvP. Many high-level players outfit their team with sets of Philosopher Runes. The Python Raid offers the best chance for players to obtain high quality Philosopher Runes and is the superior, more consistent option compared to the Rune Crafting House.
Farming Level 13 Raids in general is the best method to obtain the Runes you want. The Nhumer and Kraken Raids also yield valuable Rune types such as Vampire, Evasion and Warrior Runes, and are well worth farming. Ancient Drake Raids are another worthwhile endeavor for players, giving out great rewards such as Scroll Pieces and Awakening Incarnations. The other Raids such as Pantahras and Havoc are less essential, giving out less useful Rune types as drops.
[Miscellaneous Tips]
Make sure to join a Guild, as joining a Guild will provide you with perks such as Gold acquisition boosts as well as a share of Guild Raid and Guild Battle Rewards. You can receive valuable items such as Awakening Incarnations, Special Hero Scrolls and Legendary Hero Scroll Pieces, which you need to participate in to get a share. You’ll also be able to ask for advice and receive support from a group of allied players. Consistently participating in Guild Raids and Guild Wars will net you and your Guildmates a bunch of awesome rewards such as Gems and Special Scroll Pieces.
Don’t sweat the Arena mode too hard as a beginner, you’re going to need to progress further into the game and obtain the right pieces and invest time and effort into them to really compete and climb the rankings. You should still do Arena battles for the Daily and Weekly rewards and use your Arena Tickets but don’t expend too much effort into Arena or get stressed out about your lack of early success. Don’t neglect the Minor Arena mode either and make sure to power up your 3 and 4 star Heroes as well.
There are also some Heroes who are better at PvE than PvP and vice versa so keep that in mind as well and learn to differentiate the two groups to maximize the effectiveness of your Hero selections. You can also take a look at the Arena mode rankings to see which Heroes they favor and how the best players construct their teams.
The same principle applies to Exploration, don’t be discouraged even if you’re getting dominated by higher level players. In general it’s not worth it to use Gems to continue Exploration unless you’re close to completing the 12th wave. Just do what you can every day for the rewards and concentrate on growing your own team through other game modes.
In terms of a reliable Hero any player can use, our absolute highest recommendation is Melvin, who is a good candidate to be your first Transcended Hero. He’s easy to Transcend and you’ll get a lot of mileage out of him.
Make sure you complete Infinite Tower 10 times a day. If you can’t clear a certain stage then you can go back to the last Boss stage you were able to complete and repeat it. You can get a bunch of awesome rewards from completing Infinite Tower stages, and repeating Infinite Tower stages will allow you to get rewards even if you can’t clear new stages.
Make sure to pay attention to the descriptions of each stage for details on the enemies. This can give you vital information about the specific Skills and conditions that you will face during the battle. It’s also a good idea to look at the Strategy tab to see which Heroes other players who have successfully cleared the stage are using to help you formulate an effective strategy. The harder stages will require you to use specific Heroes and setups, with to advance.
Spend your Arena Coins on the Awakening Incarnation and resist the temptation to buy the Scrolls first. Awakening Incarnations should be your priority, they have mor e utility and greater scarcity than the other rewards on offer. Awakening Incarnations are second only to Philosopher’s Stones in terms of value as resources.
Above all, Along with the Gods rewards consistency and smart decision making any player can assemble a strong team capable of clearing endgame content over time for free.

Complete F2P Beginner’s Guide to AWTG: Part II
Hello Knights! We’ve been receiving a lot of feedback from new players who are being discouraged by early-game hurdles and being unable to progress through the game. We’ve heard your cries and we’re here to help with this progression roadmap guide which will lay out specifically which steps to take to progress through the game as efficiently as possible.
In Part I we covered starting your journey and progressing through Hard mode. In Part II, we will be covering the tail end of Hard mode, important game progression concepts and preparing yourself for Hell Mode in Scenario.
[Obtain the Free 5-star Heroes, Focus on your Best Heroes, Start Farming Raids]
Once your team is strong enough to take on higher level Raid Bosses, concentrate on farming Raids to obtain better runes and obtain useful drops such as Premium Hero Scrolls and Evolution Incarnations. We recommend focusing on the Kraken and Nhumer Raids as they provide the best rewards in terms of Runes, Vampire and Warrior Runes especially, and can be taken on by many natural 3 and 4-star heroes. Raids are a much more reliable and efficient way to get Runes than crafting them in the Workroom, so focus on farming Raids.
Complete as much of Scenario as you can, strengthen your Heroes so they can overcome any plateaus and then concentrate on Scenario again. Your ultimate goal in Scenario is finishing 20.10 and receiving an Ancient God Hero Scroll, but to do that you’ll need a team full of fully upgraded 6-star heroes, some strong friends and a lot of Gems.
There are also methods to obtain many great heroes, including 4 and 5-star Heroes, for free in Along with the Gods without relying on luck or chance to obtain them. Every 28 days of logging in will net you multiple Premium Hero Scrolls, Special and Legendary Hero Scrolls and one Mythical Hero Scroll on the 28th day of logging in, which will guarantee you a 5-star Hero when summoning, so make sure you log in every day! You can also purchase Light Shards from the various Shops in the game, daily Quests and obtain Light Shards from Heroic Dungeons. You can obtain the best Support Hero in the game, the Ancient God Hero Styx, by gathering Light Shards as rewards for Daily and Weekly Quests.
Here is our list of notable newbie-friendly Heroes you should be looking out for:
Useful 3-star heroes: Kaho, Tallia, Hannah
Excellent 3-star heroes: Melvin, Floria, Phantom Knight
Excellent 4-star heroes: Ereth, Blith, Vern, Akurel, Eoin, Orelia, Rene, Ardo, Turan, Gohr, Peishan
5-star Hero Combination Heroes: Lin, Oliver, Zemer
The list of viable 5-star Heroes is extensive and most 5-star Heroes are going to be very useful early in the game. However, within the roster of 5-star Heroes there is a lot of variance in how strong and useful they are. The difference between a top-tier 5-star Hero and a low tier 5-star Hero can be as great as the difference between Heroes of different star levels.
Here is our list of the most useful 5-star Heroes you should immediately lock and start raising when you get them:
Alexis, Zenon, Patricia, Lucius, Glen, Mei, Atmos, Styx, Divana, Prospera, Lin, Oliver, Kadus, Ramia, Marcus, Zemer

Keep in mind that these ratings are subjective and not prescriptive. Broadly speaking, Heroes rated above 70 are worth raising. Any Heroes in the 80’s you should definitely raise and anything approaching or above 90 you should immediately prioritize. Although this list is compiled by strong experienced players, there may be some variance in your experience with certain Heroes or you may develop your own preferences and priorities. Remember to experiment and see which Heroes you vibe with in terms of strategy and playstyle.
It’s also important to emphasize that 5-star Heroes aren’t the only Heroes you should be looking out for. Some 3 and 4-star Heroes are actually much more worthy of your consideration than even some 5-star Heroes. For instance, Arkhan is a natural 5-star Earth Tank Hero but Blith is considered a much better Earth Tank Hero despite being a natural 4-star Hero.
Obtaining Melvin, Phantom Knight and Floria is easy, and upgrading them through Awakening and Transcendence is also a breeze thanks to them being natural 3-stars. Melvin is a great Hero to use in Raids, particularly the all-important Nhumer Raid and Ancient Storm Drake Raid. They’re all excellent at clearing content for newbies and will be useful long-term as well.

Floria in particular is very easy to obtain through a variety of methods such as summoning through scrolls, purchasing Light Shards in the Raid Shop and obtaining Light Shards through Heroic Dungeons. Phantom Knight is an underrated hero who is useful across a variety of game modes including PvP and PvE, and is also an easily obtainable and upgradable 3-star Hero. These easily obtainable heroes will immediately benefit any new player.
Acquiring the three 5-star heroes mentioned above through Hero Combination in the Temple of Heroes should be a priority for newbies and can be the best chance for many players to obtain their first batch of powerful 5-star Heroes. Lin, Oliver and Zemer are all incredibly useful Heroes and will significantly increase a player’s capacity for progress. Lin is one of the best PvE heroes in the game, and is a huge help in Raids. Oliver is a powerful Magic Hero and who thrives in PvP but will also help a lot in clearing the higher levels of Scenario and Infinite Tower. Zemer is useful in all game modes and will prove to be a reliable Tank who will help you progress in all aspects of the game.
Ereth is a 4-star Hero who’s more than worth the effort of combination from the Temple of Heroes and should also be made a priority in addition to the three 5-star Heroes. To get him you’ll require a few easily obtainable 2 and 3-star Heroes as combination material: Harpoon Fisherman, Starfish Shaman, Kaho and Phantom Knight. Ereth is extremely powerful and will help you clear PvE content and he’s also indispensable in Minor Arena, single handedly shaping the meta. Ereth pairs well with another 4-star Combination Hero Akurel, a Water Ranged Hero who is also an essential Minor Arena Hero and useful in other PvE game modes as well.
It’s well worth going out of your way to collect the Combination Material Akurel, Ereth, Zemer, Oliver and Lin who are all leading Heroes in the game and all freely obtainable.
Make sure to read your Heroes’ skill descriptions and understand what they’re doing. This will help you avoid falling for mistakes like increasing Divana’s Magic Power when her abilities don’t use her Magic Power in their calculations at all, thus you’d be better off improving one of her other stats such as HP or Physical Defense. Understanding your Heroes’ Skills and what they do will help you come up with more effective strategies and team compositions. Always consider how your opponents’ Skills will match up with what you’re sending out and vice versa.
Upgrade your Runes with Gold to increase their level and make sure your Heroes have the right Runes equipped. Runes make a huge difference to the power of your character and can completely change how effective they are. Initially you won’t have access to the best classes of Runes so basic Rune types such as Life and Attack/Magic runes, depending on your character’s class, will be your go-to choices as a newbie.
Don’t waste your Gems trying to Smelt these basic Runes as they’ll simply be a stopgap until you can obtain better Runes.
Typically, you’ll want to combine two different sets of two Runes to get a combination of Set bonuses, especially as many set bonuses for four Runes of one type aren’t that useful and you’ll almost never see high level players equip four of the same rune type on their Heroes. As you get further in the game you’ll be able to start obtaining higher star level runes and better Rune types.
Evasion, Vampire and Warrior Runes will generally be the best Rune types for your Heroes as you progress through the game with Philosopher Runes being considered the best Rune type in the game, especially in PvP. Make sure your Runes have appropriate stat bonuses that are relevant to the Hero they’re equipped on. There’s no point equipping Critical runes with an Attack Bonus on a Support hero, or Magic Runes with a Magic Power bonus on a Melee Hero, for example.
Adding high-level friends so you can summon their strong Heroes during battle and using Gems to revive yourself are the best methods to make as much progress as quickly as possible in the game. Don’t be shy about using Gems to help yourself progress. That being said, you’ll likely need thousands of Gems if you’re planning to brute force your way through the entirety of Scenario, both for Continues and Key refills so it’s important to stockpile as many as you can.
[Tips for Managing your Heroes and Teams]
Obtaining Heroes is a crucial part of the game and there is definitely some luck involved, however many players will fall for the fallacy that 5-star Heroes are automatically the best and that lower rated heroes are useless. It’s also a common misconception that failing to summon 5-star Heroes immediately means that their account is doomed. Many 5-star Heroes are incredibly powerful but there are plenty of 4 and even 3-star Heroes who are just as good and useful as many 5-star Heroes.
In some cases these lower rarity Heroes are even better than many 5-star Heroes and this is an important point that needs to be reiterated.
There are also 5-star Heroes that can be obtained for free, guaranteed, by any player in the Temple of Heroes through Hero Combination. Eventually, you will be able to obtain powerful high-level Heroes through the course of their journey regardless of your starting luck in the game.
You absolutely do not require a team full of natural 5-star Heroes to progress through the early stages of Scenario mode.
Even with below average luck you should be able to obtain usable heroes through a variety of methods. Upgrading your heroes will also boost your team’s power and is just as important as obtaining the right Heroes. Make sure to level up, evolve, Awaken and equip/upgrade Runes and Accessories if you don’t want your Heroes to fall behind the difficulty curve.
When you put together a team for a stage take a look at the enemies’ Attributes, Classes and any special Skills or characteristics they may have and look to counter those with your own Hero selection. Knowledge of both your own team and your opponent’s team will help you make the most informed decisions and increase your chances of winning. This applies to every game mode in PvP and PvE, Hell difficulty Infinite Tower stages can be especially brutal for unprepared teams.
For difficult PvE stages you can check out the usage statistics of people who have successfully completed the stage and see which Heroes are the most used if you’re ever stuck and need ideas for which Heroes to use. You can also check out the Arena mode rankings and the Hall of Fame to check out the Heroes and upgrades that the very best players are using in the current metagame.
Never waste Awakening Incarnations on 3-star Heroes, you should only be using dupes to Awaken them. High-value 4-star Heroes such as Ereth and Akurel are worth Awakening but due to the fact they can be combined at the Temple of Heroes, it would be more prudent to save your Awakenings for other Heroes. Spend your valuable 2-star and your 1-star Awakening Incarnations on your best 5-star Heroes instead.
You should also begin accumulating Essences from the Sanctum of Strength at this point, along with your Awakening Incarnations to power up your Heroes’ Awakenings. This can make a substantial difference in the overall power of your Heroes, for instance an unleveled HP Awakening gives a 10% boost to HP whereas at +5 it grants a 20% boost HP. Transcendence of all your major Heroes should be your long-term goal.

Hero Spotlight: Atmos
“I’m strong, thus, I’m evil”
We’re back with another Along with the Gods Hero Spotlight, featuring Atmos!
“One of the Dark Ancient Goddesses in charge of ‘Power’. Although she’s a Death God, she pursues righteousness. She will take action without any hesitation if she sees a cowardly behavior.”
Atmos is a natural 5-star Hero and Ancient Goddess Hero and is by consensus the best Tank Hero in the game. She’s a must have and must use for players who are lucky enough to possess her.
She will be a blue-chip piece in both PvE and PvP, particularly in tough content which requires highly durable Heroes such as high-level Arena matches, Drake Raids and Infinite Tower. Atmos has a number of unique abilities and characteristics which elevate her to elite status within the game, as the best Tank Hero and one of the best overall Heroes.
Read on to find out what makes Atmos so great!
[How to Obtain Atmos]
Atmos can be obtained through a few methods, although she is quite rare and one of the more difficult Ancient God Heroes to obtain given that she isn’t available through Light Shards or Hero Combination like Styx and Alexis, respectively.
Atmos can be obtained via the following Hero Summon Scrolls: Water Hero Summon Scroll, Premium Hero Scroll, Legendary Hero Scroll, Mythical Hero Scroll and Ancient God Hero Scroll.
Your best chance of getting Atmos is through the Ancient God Hero Scroll. You can obtain an Ancient God Hero Scroll by clearing every stage of Scenario on Hell difficulty or completing seven rounds of Hero summoning Mileage at the Temple of Heroes. Atmos can also be randomly obtained through Hero Synthesis using three 5-star Heroes as Synthesis materials.
[Atmos Skills Breakdown]
Atmos has a number of defensive and support Skills that are best in class. She even surpasses the likes of Zemer and Blith, although in specific situations these two Heroes can hold their own against her. Atmos’ Skills giver her an all-round kit that provides the ultimate defense for both herself and her teammates. Atmos provides damage shielding, harmful effects removal, minor Crowd Control, damage boosting and self-buffs.
Her Leader Skill, Victory Roar, increases the Attack Speed of allies in the frontline by 30% and is one of the best frontline Leader Skills in the game, especially for players who don’t possess Shu.
Her Active Skill, Mara’s Calling, is an extremely powerful support Skill which removes all harmful effects on her allies while also granting immunity against harmful effects for 5 seconds and increasing the damage dealt by teammates by 20%.
Goddess’s Army is Atmos’ first Auto Skill which creates a shield that absorbs damage up to 20% of Atmos’ Max HP on all allies.
Power Rush inflicts 200% physical damage to enemies that ignores their Physical Defense stat and Stuns them for 2 seconds.
Dark Force passive removes a harmful effect from each ally with a 15% chance and grants immunity against inability effects for 2 seconds whenever Atmos is attacked.
Biological Armor increases her Physical Defense and Magic Defense by 1% of Atmos’ Max HP.
[Atmos Runes]
As a Tank Hero, Atmos relies on having longevity and being able to provide as much defense and support to the rest of her team as possible.
Atmos in particular will want to boost her HP to help her in general as a Tank but also because it synergizes well with her abilities Goddess’s Army and Biological Armor, the higher the HP the more damage she can absorb for her teammates and the higher her own Defense and Magic Defense stats are boosted.
While Life Runes aren’t normally used on elite Heroes, in Atmos’ case there is a legitimate case for using them over other Rune types to fully spec into HP and maximize her HP stat, especially if you don’t have access to high level Runes of other types.
Warrior Runes are arguably the most universally useful Runes in the game and many players equip Atmos, and other Heroes, with them. Inability Effects can severely hinder Atmos and consequently the rest of your team if her shields and cleansing are delayed. Combined with the Inability Effect Resistance Awakening, Atmos becomes highly resilient against Inability Effects.
Philosopher Runes are widely used in high-level PvP and Atmos is a fine candidate as a Tank Hero to wield them as she doesn’t need to consider other Rune types such as Vampire or Critical Runes like more offensive Heroes.
Some players have also been seen equipping Atmos with other types of Runes such as Evasion and Torrent Runes.
Attack Speed is also an important stat to look out for on Atmos as it determines how often she can cleanse and shield her teammates, and her Leader Skill allows her to boost her and her teammates’ attack rate.
Recommended Rune Bonuses by position:
I: HP
II: Attack Speed
III: Attack Speed
IV: HP
Other sub-stats you should be looking to boost on Atmos include Physical Defense, Magic Defense.
[Atmos Awakenings]
In keeping with the rest of the build you’ll want to make increasing Atmos’ HP as much as possible a priority, and then Attack Speed as her secondary stat.
Awakening I: HP
This will increase Atmos’ HP stat by up to 20% and make her tougher to kill while also boosting her abilities.
Awakening II: Increase Inability Effect Resistance Rate
Atmos receives a 35% boost to her Inability Effect Resistance Rate, and when paired with Warrior Runes, this makes her incredibly resilient to Inability Effects, which is incredibly important both for a Tank and in general across the game.
Awakening III: Increase Attack Speed
Increases the rate at which Atmos attacks, which will be highly beneficial to your team as Atmos will be able to proc her shield and other useful team support abilities more frequently. This is also highly effective when combined with her Leader Skill which also boosts Attack Speed.
Awakening IV: HP
Selecting the HP options for Awakening I and IV, Atmos can gain up to 40% extra HP with fully leveled Awakenings, which is an absolutely massive boost to her utility as a Tank Hero and are undoubtedly the best choices for Atmos.
Awakening V: Increase Team Physical Defense
This will make your team sturdier as a whole and synergizes with Atmos’ overall kit, and is more effective overall than reducing your opponent’s Defense by 10%.
[Atmos Accessories]
The best Accessories for Atmos to use are up to a matter of opinion/preference. You can choose to increase her HP as much as possible with a combination of Special and Rare Accessories, for a total of 18% HP increase. Other options for Atmos’ Accessories include Demon Accessories, although these are quite rare/ difficult to obtain.
Important sub-stats you should be looking out for on Atmos include HP, Attack Speed, Physical and Magic Defense.
[How to Use Atmos]
Atmos will be an important Hero in any team looking to increase their odds of survival in Arena mode and PvE modes such as high-level Raids, Scenario and Infinite Tower.
She’s one of the most used Heroes in Major and Team/World Team Arena modes as she provides outstanding utility that no other Tank can replicate. With the appropriate HP boosts from Accessories, Runes and Awakenings as well as Transcendence she can achieve monstrous HP numbers and defensive stats, which make her as close to invincible as you can get in Along with the Gods.
Atmos is a common sight in high-level PvP teams in Major, Team and World Team Arena modes. Many top teams use Atmos, along with Styx or Divana, to form their defensive backbone. She is just as good in PvP as she is in PvE, and will often be the last Hero standing in battle. Her high usage stats just back up her status as one of the truly elite metagame Heroes in Arena mode.
While she doesn’t provide healing, she provides damage shielding and the ability to remove and immunize against harmful effects. Having a Support Hero who can provide healing to complement Atmos’ defensive Skills should form a rock-solid core for your team. In most high-level teams this Support Hero will be one of Styx, Kadus, Divana and Marcus. Atmos and Divana are highly complementary as a defensive pairing as Divana provides temporary invincibility, healing and team Defense boosts while Atmos provides protection from harmful and inability effects. Atmos is very capable of operating and thriving as a lone front-line member of your team.
Atmos fits neatly onto almost any team composition and can shore up any build. She is the ideal candidate to provide defensive cover for more offensive and frail Heroes on the team. Her ideal teammates are Support Heroes with healing as mentioned above, but she also synergizes well with other frontline Heroes if you wish to run a two frontline member team, especially Heroes like Melvin, Shu and Glen.
Atmos is useful in every Raid and is one of the few Heroes who can genuinely perform well against every Boss. She is especially good against Fire Attribute Raid Bosses against whom she possesses an Attribute advantage. Atmos is even a top Hero against Earth Attribute bosses such as Python, Pantahras and Earth Drake, due to her overwhelming array of Skills. Her ability to create damage shields and mitigate the numerous harmful effects Raid Bosses inflict is crucial and can make tough battles much more manageable.
Atmos is an essential Hero for players to have and raise if they want to conquer all of the high-level PVE content. Her abilities are unique and provide support no other Hero can provide as a single unit. They’re universally useful and help in every in-game situation. Just have a look at the most used Hero statistics in Raids and Infinite Tower to see just how useful Atmos is, being present near or at the top in virtually every high-level stage.
While Atmos provides great defensive support, her ability to boost the damage of her teammates and Attack Speed of her frontline allies also shouldn’t be overlooked. If you go too defensive with you overall team selection with Atmos in the line-up, you can end up under utilizing her overall talents.
You should keep in mind that Atmos will be your most used Tank overall, so you should prioritize fully upgrading her to get the most out of her.

Complete F2P Beginner’s Guide to AWTG: Part I
A complete step-by-step F2P guide to progressing through the early game
Hello Knights! We’ve been receiving a lot of feedback from new players who are being discouraged by early-game hurdles and being unable to progress through the game.
We’ve heard your cries and we’re here to help with this progression roadmap guide which will lay out specifically which steps to take to progress through the game as efficiently as possible, without spending any money to get there.
[Preliminary Reading]
Before you start with this guide, it’s worth taking a look at one of our previous guides, our 10 Tips for New AWTG Players, to get some game fundamentals under your belt and you can also check out the Tips in-game to make sure you understand basic game systems and mechanics such as the UI, Rune upgrades and how to to Awaken Heroes:

The in-game tips menu also has plenty of helpful content for new players that will teach you the basics of all aspects of the game. Learning what certain debuffs and buffs do and other such terminology will help you come up with better strategies and team compositions, and also evaluate Heroes with greater precision.
Along with the Gods is a deep, strategic game so you shouldn’t be surprised or ashamed if you’re having difficulties during the early game. However, some players mistake this challenge for the game being P2W or having a paywall, and thus impossible to progress through for a new F2P player. This is demonstrably false, with many high ranking Arena players being completely F2P.
You can and will succeed as a F2P player if you apply the right knowledge with sufficient effort. This guide will show you how to make it through the early-game and progress to the endgame without spending a single cent on purchases.
[How to Progress Quickly in AWTG, For Free]
When you start the game your priority should be clearing as much of Scenario Mode as you can. Clearing Scenario Mode will provide you with more EXP for your heroes and useful clear rewards such as Scrolls and Evolution Incarnations. Progress in Scenario Mode will be the primary vehicle for your overall progression.
Use the coupon code ‘playawtg1’ to receive a bunch of useful free items and Scrolls. Use all of the scrolls and chances are you will receive some helpful Heroes.
You should blitz through the first half of Normal mode without any trouble and the rest of Normal mode shouldn’t present any difficulty at all if you’ve been doing the bare minimum of equipping runes and accessories, obtaining Heroes through scrolls and leveling up your Heroes.
If you’re extra conscientious you can start evolving and awakening your Heroes here. It’s not strictly necessary at this stage but will give you a good head start for Hard and Hell mode and help you get a foothold into other game modes.
Pick Harley, Rene and Floria from the Hero Tokens and Light Token. If you already have those heroes before you acquire the Hero Tokens and Light Tokens we recommend picking them again anyway to acquire “dupes” (duplicates) of them. Harley and Renee are both powerful DPS Heroes and Floria is a healer/support Hero who heals, buffs and also provides great Crowd Control (CC). Harley is also a combination Hero material for a powerful free 5-star Hero named Oliver so having extra copies you can use for acquiring Oliver will be extremely helpful. These three will be useful in every game mode including PvE and PvP, specifically in the Minor Arena.

A lot of new players wonder what the best use for Gems is and in the long run it’s for key refills. However, at the beginning of your journey you should also use your Gems for Continues in Scenario Mode, in addition to refilling Keys. Brute forcing your way through stages by reviving your defeated party to get the rewards on offer for completion is also a viable use for Gems.
Keys are an indispensable resource, without them you can’t enter Scenario or Raids and you’re going to need a lot of them to fuel your progress through the game. Use Gems to refill your Keys to speed up your progress and make sure to collect all the free Keys sent to your player Inbox through Weekly and Weekend Events on a regular basis. As you get further along in the game you’ll find your need for Keys will increase and accordingly you’ll be spending an increasing amount of Gems to refill them.
You should also make a habit of taking care of all of your daily tasks such as logging in, checking in to your Guild, checking your Inbox and completing Daily and Weekly Quests etc. You can get some awesome rewards through these tasks and it all adds up over time.
[Evolve and Upgrade Your Hero Roster as you start Hard Mode]
Hard mode is when the difficulty will pick up a bit and pose some level of challenge for the average player. To start coping with this, you’ll need to upgrade your Heroes in the right way. Use the 2-star heroes you pick up throughout the game as evolution fodder. You can also use some of the less useful 3-star Heroes you don’t plan on using as fodder. Collecting and using as many evolution fodder units on your good Heroes as possible will help you progress through the game faster.
Natural 4-star Heroes should not be used as fodder for evolution at this stage unless they’re one of the lower-tier 4-star Heroes, such as Coral Zombie Plunderer, and even then you’d be better served using them as Synthesis material for a chance of getting a 4 or 5-star Hero in return, rather than as plain Evolution fodder.
5-star Heroes should only ever be gotten rid of through Hero Synthesis, and only when players have a sufficiently powerful/deep roster to be able to afford to expend a 5-star Hero, and at this early stage of the game you’ll probably want to hang on to them instead.
Incarnations, both Evolution and Awakening, will be pretty scarce at the beginning of your journey so you should focus on acquiring cheap fodder and duplicate units and utilizing them to upgrade your team instead.
At this point in Hard mode you should have at least a few stand-out Heroes you can rely on. Focus on upgrading these Heroes, evolving them and equipping them with your best Runes and Accessories. Make sure to match Rune stat bonuses appropriately for each Hero class. Certain stat bonuses such as HP are better for Tanks, Magic Power for Magic Heroes and so on.
Attack Speed is a universally beneficial stat across all Heroes. Make sure to look at each Heroes’ Skills and and Passives and see which Runes have the greatest overall synergy with that Hero, for example, Lin can utilize lesser used Rune types such as Critical and Rage due to her unique Skills.
Try to level up your Heroes and evolve them as quickly and as often as possible at this stage. Evolved Heroes receive a large increase to their stats and power and you should be aiming to have at least a full or nearly full team of 5-star evolved heroes by the time you finish Hard Mode.
In order of evolution priority for Hero Classes, you should focus on DPS>Support>Tanks. DPS Heroes benefit the most from the jump from 5 to 6-stars due to their inherent frailty. Most Tanks will function adequately at 5-stars for a while so you can evolve them last as you focus on evolving your other, squishier Heroes to 6-stars.
Despite being integral to the story and representing the game, Ian and co. should be outgrown quickly as they aren’t very useful compared to the rest of the game’s Heroes and you will obtain much better Heroes. Ian will have some initial use as a meat shield until you can replace him with Arthur, after completing 6.10. Arthur is only a stopgap himself though and many players will find other Tank Heroes, such as Zemer and Blith, more beneficial.
The other starter Heroes such as Leo and Claire are even more expendable. Easily obtainable 3-star heroes like Melvin and Kaho will be of far greater use to you.
Don’t spend your Evolution Incarnations or Awakening Incarnations on any of the starter heroes like Ian and Leo, who are not viable long-term. You’ll just set yourself back by wasting valuable resources.
Hellen is an adequate healer for the early-game. Arthur in particular isn’t really worth evolving above 5-stars. By the time you finish Hard mode and start Hell mode you should have better Heroes you can use.
Floria is a much better overall Hero and you should strive to substitute or supplement Hellen with Floria for your healing and support needs.
Awakening Heroes will provide them with an array of powerful stat boosts and abilities and shouldn’t be neglected. The relative ease of Awakening on lower rarity Heroes should be taken advantage of by new players. Also make sure to complete as many Sanctum of Strength stages to obtain Essences, which you can use to power up the Awakenings for Heroes of their corresponding element. High level Essences are harder to come by so this will require consistent farming to fully level the Awakenings of your Heroes.
Adding friends is going to be a huge help in your early progress and can be an easy growth hack for your progress. Making friends with higher level players will give you access to their Representative Hero during Raids and Scenario Mode. A powerful Representative Hero can solo many of the early stages by themselves or carry a weaker team through difficult PvE content such as Scenario and Raid stages.
Look for players with powerful offensive Representative Heroes such as Patricia, Alexis and Lucius who are at least Level 60, and ideally fully Awakened and Transcended. Send friend requests to stronger players so you can summon them during tough stages you’re having trouble completing by yourself. Strong friends can carry you through battles that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to win.

We’re back with another Along with the Gods Hero Spotlight, featuring Akurel!
“The leader of the water elementals. He’s the smartest of them all and is the adviser to the elemental king. He gets annoyed with Griff but kind of enjoys it at the same time.”
Akurel is a 4-star Water Ranged Hero and is definitely a Hero all players should have as part of their roster. He’s a key Hero for any serious Minor Arena team and punches above his weight in other game modes. In this article we’ll cover how to obtain Akurel and how to equip and use him for the best results.
Akurel is an essential PvP Hero as well as a useful all-round Hero in other areas of the game. Many players compare Akurel to the similar 5-star Water Ranged Hero Kaor, and while Kaor may edge Akurel in a direct head-to-head comparison, there are a few factors that causes players to favor Akurel.
Read on to find out what exactly makes Akurel so great!
[How to Obtain Akurel]
Akurel has a number of methods available to obtain him, which makes him relatively easy to acquire and upgrade. The first method is the standard method of summoning through a Hero Summon Scroll.
Akurel can be obtained from: Premium Hero Scrolls, Legendary Hero Scrolls, Water Hero Scrolls and occasionally Special Hero Scrolls depending on the Special Summoning List which changes periodically.
You can also purchase Akurel Light Shards from the Random Shop, and as the name suggests the items stocked randomly cycle in and out so this method is not the most efficient. You’ll require a total of 50 Light Shards to summon him.
The most reliable method to obtain Akurel is through Hero Combination at the Temple of Heroes. You will require Wolf Warrior, Demon Knight, Coral Skeleton Archer and Claire as Combination materials. You will need to evolve your Heroes to 4 stars and have them at Max Level before you can use them. With this method you can reliably obtain Akurel and the necessary Akurel duplicates to Awaken and Transcend him.
Akurel is an extremely high value Hero, especially for players who want to climb up the Minor Arena rankings, so players should make it a priority to acquire him as soon as possible. Just take a look at the Minor Arena rankings and check out the teams that they use to see just how vital Akurel is.
You can also view usage stats for the most used Heroes in the Infinite Tower and Raid stages to see more evidence of his appreciation and usage by players.
[Akurel Skills Breakdown]
Akurel has a variety of skills that barrage his enemies with weaponized ice and water. Akurel both hits hard and inflict powerful effects on his opponents, including Silence, Stun and more. These Skills make him a crucial member of the Minor Arena metagame and a great all-round Hero. You can utilize Akurel’s Skills to weaken and control enemies for other Heroes on your team to mop up.
Akurel’s Active Skill Crystal Pillar inflicts 290% physical damage to all enemies. It pushes enemies backwards, stunning them for 0.5 seconds and also has a 75% chance to inflict Slowdown for 7 seconds.
His Auto Skill Hailstorm throws a spear to inflict 240% physical damage to 3 enemies and Stuns the target for 2 seconds with a 100% chance.
Akurel’s second Auto Skill Icy Scars hits 3 enemies for 260% damage and Silences the targets, rendering them incapable of using any Skills, for 5 seconds with a 50% chance.
Akurel’s first passive Water Storm decreases the target’s Attack Speed by 30% for 10 seconds with a 15% chance whenever you attack the enemy.
Akurel’s second Passive Water Essence increases his Attack Power by 15% and gives a considerable boost to his overall power level.
[Recommended Akurel Rune Setup]
Akurel has a similar optimal Rune setup to other Ranged Heroes such as Lin and Prospera. Evasion, Warrior, Vampire and Philosopher Runes will be your best bet for Akurel. In general, Ranged Heroes benefit from the aforementioned Rune types the most.
You’ll want to build an Akurel that hits hard and fast against enemies for Minor Arena PvP purposes.
You can prioritize different aspects of Akurel’s stats according to your needs and preferences, some players might prefer giving Akurel some Evasion or increasing his Accuracy for example.
If you really want to emphasize the Evasion or Accuracy aspect of your Akurel build, you can use Critical Runes, which increase Critical Hit Rate, and Accuracy Runes, which increase Accuracy. Accuracy Runes are especially helpful in countering opponents who have Evasion boosting abilities and Runes in both PvP and PvE.
For his sub-stats, depending on which type of Akurel build you want to emphasize, try for the following sub-stats in their respective positional slots:
I: Critical Rate, Attack Speed
II: Attack
III: Evasion, Critical Rate
IV: Evasion, Attack Speed
[Recommended Akurel Awakenings]
I: Attack
Increases Akurel’s attack power and his overall damage output.
II: Bleed
Inflicts the Bleed status which deals damage over time. This will increase the total damage output of Akurel and synergizes well with his other CC abilities. Increasing Akurel’s Evasion with this Awakening slot is also a viable choice, especially if you choose to build Akurel with Evasion boosting Runes.
III: Attack Speed
Increasing Akurel’s Attack Speed is important as you want Akurel to hit as quickly and as often as possible. Akurel’s Skills and Passives benefit greatly from this Awakening.
IV: Attack
Increases Akurel’s attack power and his overall damage output.
V: Increase Team Attack Speed
Increases Akurel’s and the team’s overall Attack Speed.
[Akurel Accessories]
The optimal accessories for Akurel will be similar to the ones used by other Ranged Heroes. When it comes to accessories the optimal accessories are Demon or Immortal accessories. However these are rare high-level endgame items that the majority of players realistically won’t have access to.
Instead, players can use Lua accessories, which are the next best thing for Attack based Heroes. Lua Accessories increase the Attack Power of Heroes wielding a Set of three, and they’re highly accessible for the average player. Other options include Ancient or Special Accessories if you want to provide extra HP to your Akurel build.
The main sub-stats you should be looking to increase with your equipped accessories are Attack, Attack Speed, Critical, Evasion and Accuracy.
[How to use Akurel]
The main area of the game you’ll be using Akurel is in Minor Arena mode. Akurel is an essential part of the Minor Arena metagame and most high ranking teams will feature him, he’s not quite as defining as Ereth but he comes close. He forms a ‘Big 3’ in the Minor Arena meta along with Ereth and Blith as the strongest and most defining Heroes.
In Minor Arena Akurel will provide you with strong DPS and most importantly, he’s also a powerful source of Crowd Control, which can help control the tide of a battle as he Stuns, Silences and Slowdowns his targets.
Akurel is a strong group PvE Hero who can put in a solid performance in Scenario, Sanctum of Strength and Infinite Tower modes due to his Crowd Control capabilities which makes it easier to deal with and clear groups of enemies.
Akurel is also a decent Hero in Raids although he’s not really a specialist as his Skills are oriented towards groups of enemies rather than damaging a single target. As a Water Attribute Hero he has a natural advantage over Fire Attribute Raid Bosses such as Nhumer, Havoc and Flame Drake and can be a useful secondary/tertiary DPS Hero against these Raid Bosses. He’s also a viable Hero to use in the Kraken Raid as well.
The best Heroes to pair with Akurel are Heroes that you can stack CC effects with, as Akurel has numerous CC effects that he can inflict on his enemies including Silence, Slowdown and Stun. With additional CC support Akurel can help shut down and pin opponents. In the Minor Arena metagame, Heroes such as Eoin can provide this additional Crowd Control support.
His pushback ability can help create better spacing for your team and disrupt your opponent’s formation. You can capitalize on this with other Ranged and Magic Heroes to keep your opponents at arm’s length from your team and hit them while they’re unable to hit you.
This is also why Ereth synergizes so well with Akurel in the Minor Arena meta despite being a Melee Hero, as Ereth’s abilities give him enhanced mobility around the battlefield to reach pushed opponents.
