PSA: Respect the Nice Killer
If a Killer is letting you do generators, respect that. You know what I mean by “letting you.” It’s usually the Killer leading or carrying you to generators so you can repair them and escape. If your Killer does, you should repair the generators. You, likely, only get one chance to do this with them. If you run off to find the hatch or a do a different generator, be prepared to be knocked and sacrificed.
I was trying to let a survivor escape, and they broke this rule. The survivor had 2 more generators to do, but she decided to run and look for the hatch. After the match, I told her she messed up, and she said she wanted the hatch. She missed out on a lot of free blood points because she wanted to be stubborn.
RESPECT THE NICE KILLERS!
Dead By Daylight Fanfiction/theory
Hey everyone our company called Shady Ways virtual nerd cave recently published a short story about Dead By Daylight’s Entity and Vigo.
It’s a creative take on a fan theory.

DBD Rank 1 Survivor Guide: Items
One of the more unbalanced aspects of Dead by Daylight shows itself not in the form of perks and abilities, but items. Today, we’ll be going over the core of these mechanics that become the meat and potatoes of survivor’s gameplay. Let’s not waste any time dig right in, starting with the most commonly used item.
Often ran because of the time saved making up for teammates' mistakes, medkits provide survivors with the ability to both increase their healing speed while also saving a perk slot that would otherwise be used for inner strength or, god forbid, self-care.
This item should probably be run 99% of the time when solo queueing if your goal is to double pip. Given the fact that you need to have a good spread of objective completion, chase time, and altruism in your locker, medkits are an optimal choice to help accomplish your goals. Altruism becomes a breeze, chases become much less dangerous, since you’ll likely be at full health before the chase starts, and the same can be said for doing objectives for the exact same reasons.
Medkits have the option to include Styptic agents and Anti-hemorrhagic Syringes. The Styptic agent will give you an endurance status effect while the Anti-hemorrhagic Syringe will heal you for one health state, assuming you can last 16 seconds without getting hit by a killer. Both of these addons are incredibley powerful, but are also considered quite BM to use. If you want to win and you don’t care about what anyone thinks of you (including yourself) then go ahead and use em, otherwise you can use the Medkit Build below.
The Ranger Medkit is the best medkit of choice, with the Gel Dressing and Self-adherent wrap Addons to provide extra heal speed and and charges. With this loadout, you should almost never be running out of charges to use in a game, unless you or your team is really throwing it.
The four man tilter that is the toolbox went through a slight rework semi-recently. Since then, they don’t do as much repairing as they used to, but the little repairs they do provide work VERY fast. As such, this item should only be run when in a team with comms. The communications should make up for the fact that you don’t have any medkits to yourselves with, and the toolboxes will make it next to impossible for any killer to stop you from completing your objectives quickly.
In fact, I’d go as far as to say that because toolboxes don’t come with any downsides (lower heal speeds, slower vaulting speeds, etc) they are actually always going to be broken in the right hands. If you’re playing with friends, go ahead and grab one of these puppies and use them to squeak out the last 10%-20% of important generators before the killer can react. The time saved between four survivors using toolboxes is so close to a couple minutes when factoring in the regression time a killer is otherwise likely to get with Pop Goes the Weasel and natural regression that you might as well call toolboxes more and more game-breaking the further up they improve your speed. That said, they aren’t actually considered a BM play unless you add a Brand New Part to their addons, which gives an additional 25% repair progress to those who can hit the skill checks.
Again, if you don’t care about your self-image, go ahead and run the BNP’s with your friends. Otherwise, refer to my most optimal toolbox build below.
While the Commodious Toolbox doesn’t technically have the fastest repair speed, it does have the best value in terms of charges, and it is for this reason that I’m putting it above the Engineer’s toolbox. Along with it, you can go ahead and put the Wire Spool and Scraps into the addon slots for a nice boost to charges. With this, you can often start using the toolbox on a generator with about 70% repair progress and have the toolbox efficiently finish it off for you at great speeds.
While these items aren’t as consistent as the previously mentioned medkits and toolboxes, they do have their uses in niche situations, and in the case of keys, they can be downright broken (And are most often run for such reasons)
Flashlights are used to blind killers. The reason one would want to do this is to save a picked up teammate, stop a killer from tracking you as he breaks a pallet, or simply to BM him or her for laughs. It’s annoying to play against, but good players can make game-saving plays with these tools. I won’t tell you what flashlight to use, because they all work under the same condition: Your timing must be precise. Because of this, you should pick one flashlight and get used to how long it takes with your favorite addons to blind a killer. With enough practice, you too can make high-level plays to negate a whole chase or lose a killer with ease.
Keys are a binary story. They are either completely broken or completely useless. Ran with the Blood Amber addon, keys can reveal a killer’s aura from 32 meters away THROUGH terrain and structures. Needless to say, this is a broken mechanic that will find its way out the door within the next year (hopefully). If the key is skeleton or dull, they can also unlock the hatch as soon as it spawns, without needing to wait for all but one survivor to die. Yet another reason to nerf ‘em.
On the other hand, keys can do interesting things like reveal the obsession’s aura or reveal teammates Bond-style. Again, these are interesting interactions, but are limited and ultimately not very useful.
If you suspect that your team is gonna buffoon the game away, go ahead and run the skeleton or dull key as a safety measure to escape on your own merits. But be prepared for an ungodly amount of salt to be thrown at you on the post-game screen.
These are my favorite items, but they are also mid-tiered and less consistent than Toolboxes or Medkits. Maps can reveal the auras of generators, totems, exit gate, the hatch and killer hooks to teammates and yourself as long as they’ve been marked, which you can accomplish by moving within a reasonable distance from them with the map equipped.
Usually, I like to take maps into games where I feel as though I might be dealing with a lot of hex perks, or if I want to make the most out of my inner strength perk. Even in this case, mind you, it’s still not very viable and is only meant to make the game a bit more fun and interesting. That said, if you find yourself in a four man that likes playing around NOED, bringing a Rainbow Map with the Retardant Jelly and Unusual Stamp Addon may be in you and your team’s best interest!
Other than that, there’s not much to talk about. Just remember that Medkits are damage control, Toolboxes are for ending games fast, and the rest of the items are for an individual playstyle that will vary depending on what you personally enjoy doing in-game.

Dead by Daylight Killer Build of the Month | October
It’s that time of the month, ladies and gentlemen. A new set of perks have come into the game, and there’s a fresh batch of a new builds to try out. Here’s one of them, for all you kickers out there. Let’s start with the first ingredient:
If you hadn’t guess it by now, you should probably see where this is going. Dragon’s Grip allows you to threaten survivors by kicking generators. Any survivor that interacts with a kicked generator within 30 seconds of it being kicked reveals their location and becomes exposed. This means you’ll either be one tapping survivors with an m1 or you’ll be getting a highly valued kick value over the course of the match. A win win!
Be sure to focus on kicking generators that you can patrol near from strategic advantage. The exposed effect lasts for 60 seconds, so getting a hit shouldn’t be too hard, but being close enough to the generator that you can react to the reveal without the survivors scurrying away is a must.
Moving onto the second course.
This perk is strong enough on its own to be run for it’s own sake, but when you’re putting an emphasis on kicking gens, it becomes a must have.
Pop regresses a kicked generator by an extra 25% of its total repair progress after kicking a generator, but this effect is only usable for 45 seconds after hooking a survivor. Basically, you don’t even need to think about this perk since you’ll be using it naturally with this builds playstyle anyway.
Not only do you not need to think about this perk, but you don’t even need to think about what gen to use it on, thanks to our next perk.
Thrilling Tremors is going to be your main info-gathering tool. The perk blocks any generators NOT being worked on for 16 seconds after you pick up a survivor. This means that you can pick a survivor up, hook ‘em, then search for a generator that IS being worked on (it’ll be the ones not highlighted in white) and move to kick it. You’ll apply Pop Goes The Weasel and Dragon’s Grip, and your opponent’s will be left to choose between saving a teammate, switching generators and letting the one you kicked regress to near zero percent, or biting the bullet and stopping the regression, which expose them and give you an easy down to repeat the process.
I'll say that again, their choices will give YOU the opportunity to repeat the process, since this build relies heavily on snowballing one victory onto another. A successful chase will result in a powerful PGTW, which will result in more time to get another chase, which can result in an exposed survivor, which results in another PGTW, and so on and so forth. The plan with this build is to chain victories together, not take them when you can get them.
Let’s get to the last ingredient, and this last perk is going to be up to you, since any of them can work, depending on who you’re playing and your individual playstyle.
Good at speeding up your kicks, and you’ll be kicking alot. I’m sure many of you had the idea to include this perk in this build before you even got to this point in the article, it really is just a consistent addition to what is already a kick-heavy build, plain and simple. Another thing to consider is the killer you’ll be using this build with. Since Dragon’s Grip gives you an exposed effect for your M1’s, you’ll likely want to use an M1 killer like the Pig or Ghost Face who can get consistent smacks on targets from a surprise position.
Because of this, having access to a tool that can result in quicker pallet destruction. This makes Brutal a natural choice, on top of the reasons already mentioned.
Not much to say here. You eat pallets quicker. This perk has always been a staple of a lot of killer builds, and that’s going to be true for this one. If you hate respecting pallets, take this perk and walk right through them with little room for punishment.
Probably not the strongest perk, but gaining a stack of 4% increased vaulting and kicking speed for every generator completed can really make you a late-game monster if capitalized on properly. Consider this perk if you’re in it for the funzies, otherwise go with Brutal.
Now for the last section of the build, Killer suggestions. As mentioned already, M1 Killers who have a slower playstyle are going to benefit much more from this build than explosive Billys and Nurses. As such, you’ll be seeing nuttin’ but dem here.
Given the lack of early game info-finding tools you have access to, Doctor’s power is an invaluable tool to get into chases within 15 seconds of the match starting. His power also has the added benefit of giving you the option to control loops and find survivors who activate Dragon’s Grip with ease.
Kick a gen, use your power and hide in the distance, you creepy stalker, you.
See “GhostFace”. Also, while you don’t have access to almost any additional power at loops, you DO have the ability to slow a game down considerably with your traps. Fire Up is a good candidate for The Pig with this build, since your traps will come into full swing in the mid to late game, making you a force that moves quickly while the survivors move slow.
Probably the most interesting DBD killer to date in terms of playstyle, The Blight has access to a ton of mobility and the option to punish survivors who try and extend for too long with an easy M1 attack at speed. This makes him a great choice for anyone who worries about not being to capitalize on Dragon’s Grip quick enough.
Remember, chaining your victories together is a must with this build. Don’t get greedy, keep your playstyle consistent and objective oriented, and victories will start coming your way in no time.
Live and vibin as a rank 10 killer😌
