Who should I unlock?

So I almost have enough shards to unlock a dlc character, no movie characters gotta buy those. But I'm having such a difficult time picking. I wanted legion cause he looked cool but I heard he is like the lowest tier in the game. So I was wondering who would you pick? Plague, Legion, Spirit, or the Clown.
