Weekly Book Recommendation #2

Books & Comics
Entertainment: Books & Comics - Weekly Book Recommendation #2 image 1

This week's book recommendation is The Rule of Three by Eric Walters. One shocking afternoon, computers around the globe shut down in a viral catastrophe. At sixteen-year-old Adam Daley's high school, the problem first seems to be a typical electrical outage, until students discover that cell phones are down, municipal utilities are failing, and a few computer-free cars like Adam's are the only vehicles that function. Driving home, Adam encounters a storm tide of anger and fear as the region becomes paralyzed. Soon—as resources dwindle, crises mount, and chaos descends—he will see his suburban neighborhood band together for protection. And Adam will understand that having a police captain for a mother and a retired government spy living next door are not just the facts of his life but the keys to his survival, in The Rule of Three by Eric Walters. The Rule of Three contains violence, gore and strong language, so not recommended for children. If you're into the post-apocalyptic genre of books, this is a perfect read for you. The book is 412 pages long and recommended to the ages 12 and up. I first found this book in middle school and fell in love with it. I completed the novel in three days and became ecstatic when I found out this book was part of a trilogy. The Rule of Three is the first book in the trilogy. Check out "The Rule of Three: The Fight for Power" and "The Rule of Three: Will to Survive." Eric Walters, a former elementary-school teacher, is a bestselling children's author in Canada. He is the founder of Creation of Hope, which provides care for orphans in the Makueni district of Kenya, and lives in Mississauga, Ontario. That's it for this week's book recommendation. Thank you for reading to the end and I wish you a Happy Easter! “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” – Margaret Fuller.
