Today, Electronic Arts launched EA SPORTS™ FIFA 19 across PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC. Fans can achieve glory with UEFA Champions League across a variety of modes including the new Kick Off, which also features ‘House Rules’ and deeper stat tracking to heighten the competition among friends. In FIFA Ultimate Team™, brand new ICONS join the roster, and an all new mode, Division Rivals, offers a new way to compete online. Additionally, the final chapter of the critically acclaimed story mode, The Journey: Champions, culminates with three playable storylines, each with their own distinct journey through an interconnected football story. “This year the game has been elevated to a new level of authenticity with the deep integration of the UEFA Champions League,” said Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer for EA SPORTS FIFA. “We’ve also received really positive feedback on the new gameplay mechanics and addition of new modes in Kick Off from players who’ve experienced the game through hands on with the demo, EA Access, and Origin Access. We’re very excited for even more players from across the globe to jump into the world’s game.”
In The Journey: Champions, Alex Hunter returns to pursue UEFA Champions League glory on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Players can choose between three distinct storylines from Alex Hunter, Danny Williams and Kim Hunter. After being thrust into the spotlight, Alex has to come to terms with balancing stardom and family. Danny continues his career and is challenged with taking on a new role for his club. Meanwhile, Kim finishes her last year of high school and faces big decisions about her future and the pressure that comes with playing football at the highest level in the Women’s World Cup. The Journey: Champions original soundtrack, featuring Oscar®-winning composer Hans Zimmer and composer Lorne Balfe, is also available now.
FIFA 19 also introduces new features on Nintendo Switch™, delivering a champion-calibre experience on and off the pitch. 🎦 Talk about luck! 🎦
Here we go......
1-0 down after a stupid mistake after 2mins played, 1-1 after 8mins played and then with Southampton’s Gabbiadini playing a lovely one-two with Giroud on 13 minuets I was though on goal, low shot into the left hand side of the goal.......... and then the luck came into play!!
Hit the post, across the face of the goal on to the other post and then rolling back towards the keeper....... 💥 OWN GOAL!!!!!! Keeper played it into his own net 🙌🏻
13 minutes played and it’s already 2-1 to me 😩 hate games like this!
Frustrating but I finally won!!!
So after 5 frustrating matches, conceding far to many goals and score only a handful I get dropped into Div 7!!
Div 7!!!!!!! Div’eeefin 7!!!!!!!
Apparently loosing 5 games on the bounce means they think I sit comfortably within Div 7 and not Div 10 like I first thought!
However this is not all as bad as it seems........Now judging by the 6-2 win, 19 shots with 13 on target it’s safe to say I finally worked out how to play FIFA 19. Its a shame that I didn’t figure it out during the previous 5 games 🤦🏻♂️
Onwards and upwards, onwards and upward!
Full Game - 1 Hour Review (FUT)
Here we go crew!! FIFA 19 has been released for early play (10-hour Trial).
I decided to jump straight into the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) aspect of the day and keep my fingers crossed for a decent player to drop straight out of the packet *Sigh* Didn’t happen 😩
Unlike previous instalments from the FIFA franchise you don’t start in Div 10 but take part in 5 matches to gauge your ability! However I played 2 games, losing both 4-1 and 6-1 respectively 😡 I’m don’t a bad player and can turn over decent players on FIFA 18.
My argument is that how can I compete against a full GOLDEN 100% chemistry squad in my first 2 games with a fresh out of the packet BRONZE 32% chemistry team 🤷🏻♂️
I guess that I’m going to have to endure short term pain for long term gain!!
Play FIFA 19 Early (Full Game)
Get there there early and prep yourself for the up coming season 🤙🏻
Xbox One gamers who subscribe to EA Access will have the chance to play a 10-hour trial of FIFA 19 on September 20 and they will then be able to avail of a 10 per cent discount after the launch.
PC gamers who are members of Origin Access Premier will also be able to play the full game on September 20, eight days before the launch.
EA Reveals Pack Odds - Does it Hurt Being Less Scummy?
In a move that no one actually expected, EA, in FIFA 19, has decided to reveal the odds in their packs. I don't know why it took EA this long to do this. I'm sure the reason why they didn't want to reveal this information was because they don't want people to know how low their odds are of getting something good. If we know that the odds are terrible, then why spend our hard earned money on such low odds!
FIFA 19 Demo Now Out on PC, Xbox, & PS4
Ahhhhh yessssssss, the FIFA 19 demo is now out for all majeure consoles except for the Switch, which is sad. EA please show the Switch some more love because it's an amazing console/handheld (it's doing extremely well now). So I'm going to be running my ass to my computer and downloading that demo. Hopefully it'll convince me to buy the game. According to Eurogamer, the demo lets you play a group stage of the Champions League and a portion of the story mode. Here are the playable teams:
- Real Madrid
- Manchester United
- Manchester City
- Bayern Munich
- Atletico Madrid
- Borussia Dortmund
- Tottenham Hotspur
