Ryan's Always Right: Teamfight Tactics
After spending much of my past week unsuccessfully trying to get a Valorant key, I decided to give my beta envy a break and play another one of Riot’s offerings in Teamfight Tactics. Teamfight Tactics is an auto battler and a League of Legends twist on Dota Auto Chess.
The basic gameplay in TFT is what you’d expect if you’re familiar with the auto battler genre. As you attempt to outlast your opposition in the last-man-standing style game, you must defeat your enemies in combat using your ever-evolving army of units. Your units, called champions, can equip powerful items and each have their own unique abilities and special attributes that can synergize with other champions. In order to defeat your opponents, you’ll have to constantly look to upgrade your team by making the most of different items, champions, and synergies.
While the core gameplay in Teamfight Tactics may be similar to most auto battlers, TFT offers plenty of twists to set it apart from the competition. For example, each game can take part in a different Galaxy which has special traits. These could include extra health, a free store reroll every turn, the ability to place an extra unit, and more. Every player in the game always gets the same bonus so the different galaxies make the game more dynamic without making it unfair. There are plenty of other ways that Teamfight Tactics accomplishes this goal, but the galaxy aspect is easily my favorite of the bunch.
Despite the prevalence of mechanics that are designed to keep each game unique and interesting, there are still some aspects in which the game gets stale. Most notable of these is the champion synergies. While there are certainly enough different synergies and champions for all 8 players to get a decent composition, each game inevitably results in the same few compositions popping up at the top. There’s never any reason to stray from the meta which makes the game feel like it lacks a certain degree of innovation. That said, there is still plenty of skill involved in Teamfight Tactics and you’ll have to play with the utmost strategy if you want to climb the ranks and find victory.
Overall I really enjoyed TFT and found it to be a very relaxing yet competitive game. It’s not the easiest game to pick up right away as it requires a decent amount of game knowledge for item combinations and champion synergies, but it’s also not overly difficult to learn either. While it may not have cured my longing for a Valorant key, Teamfight Tactics is a fun game and proves Riot’s competence for creating excellent games beyond League of Legends.
Ryan’s Rating: 4/5
Teamfight Tactics is free to play on PC and Mobile.

TFT Mobile: First Impressions
3/20/20 By Teal
Just two days ago RIOT released TFT (Team Fight Tactics) onto the mobile platform reaching millions of potential new players and appealing to a new audience.
I myself as an avid fan of the sub game immediately downloaded the game.
After downloading the latest patch and logged onto my RIOT account the menu was straight forward, icon to change mode, arrow for a start button, a Garen Pengu, and the “battle pass” button.
I finished the rest of my placement in the comfort of my bed. Placed Iron I, ouch. The gameplay overall achieved everything you needed to play TFT RIOT did a really good job at squeezing the game into a rectangular piece of metal.
With the app you are trading a huge screen with better graphics and GUI for comfort, portability, and on the go TFT. However there are still room for improvement as there are still some bugs to be found but as the app has been out for two days I applaud RIOT for a job well done.
TFT Mobile is live!!
TFT Mobile is finally here! The app is available for free on both iOS and Android and is cross-play compatible with PC. Now you can play TFT anywhere and everywhere!
Check out the launch trailer below!

Teamfight Tactics coming to mobile in March
#Android #Apple #Mobile #TFT
You’ll soon be able to play Teamfight Tactics where ever you go. Riot Games announced that the popular League of Legends autobattler will be released on mobile phones sometime in March (a version built for tablets will be released later, Riot says). A few lucky fans will also have the chance to get their hands on the game a little bit earlier, thanks to a short beta that the developer will roll out in the coming weeks.
The beta for Teamfight Tactics will be released in just a few countries around the world and slowly expand as the weeks wear on. In March, Riot says that it will get the first large group of players into the game, with a launch set to come some time after that. Users who hope to get into either of the betas can register for them now on both the Google Play Store, for Android, and through another site for iOS devices.
TFT Patch 10.2 Notes

- Small Loot Boxes: Removed the "4 gold drop" possibility (average value down 15%)
- Medium Loot Boxes: Removed the "7 gold drop" possibility (average value down 3%)
- Removed the worst case scenarios for item drops through the course of a game and especially in the first three PVE rounds. In short, we raised the RNG "floor".

- Full items only drop if you are already rolling item components. The RNG "ceiling" has not changed, but you are more likely to get a full item as you approach that ceiling.
- You can no longer get two full item drops in the same game from PVE rounds. This change doesn't include epic monster rewards or the carousel.
- Drastically reduced the chance of Force of Nature appearing on the carousel.

TFT Mobile confirmed for May 2020
Riot Mortimer (lead designer of TFT) confirmed on his stream that TFT Mobile will be live before May 31st. Originally promised for "early 2020," the release date might be later than hoped for, but it's definitely nice to have something concrete after a couple months without any info.
Which do you prefer, Set 1 or Set 2?
I'm strictly talking about the champions+items, so ignoring all the new changes with RotE. Which do you prefer?
Yo I’ve haven’t played the new update to TFT, what’s all the new junk? My eyes hurt when I start reading what’s been changed.
Set 2/Rise of the Elements is CRAZY
I just played my first game of Set 2 and it's crazy how different everything is. The new interface looks so much cleaner and I love the detail you get when hovering over things. One thing I dislike is that it's harder to know who you're facing now but I think I'll get used to it.
The champions and meta are so much different though! We went from full damage to full tank. It'll take a while to get used to but I think once I do I'm gonna like set 2 even more than the first.
My most dominant team
This has to be the most dominant team I've ever played in TFT and just felt like sharing. Went on to win with no trouble at all.
Almost managed to get a glacial Lux on too!
New TFT:Rise of the Elements, New Game, New Stratgegies
Yesterday TFT received a massive update. The Arena received a little rework and the champions got a little elemental spin.
Riot removed Yordels and Gunslingers and put in new Classes such as Warden, Alchemist, Berserkers, Avatar, Summoner, Druid, Mystic, Predator. Each new class either replaces a class and have new buffs.
There’s also field buffs with hexes on the field that provides mana, dodge chance, health stacks, and attack speed.
Coming to TFT is a whole cast of new characters to fight for you around 31 new characters.
My Personal Favorite is the Predator, Glacial Build

Which new champions are you hoping to see in Set 2?
Which new champions are you hoping will come with Set 2? I'd like to see some classic champions like Lee Sin, Riven, and Teemo.

9.21 Patch Notes (TFT)

Is it just me or is TFT really buggy?
TFT has been really buggy for me lately. Especially with not recognizing my champions' traits like Brawler etc. I heard that it still works in game even though it's not showing, but it makes it really hard to keep track of what I have and to know who to swap out to make my comp better. Has this been going on for a long time? I hope they fix it soon.
What are the strongest comps right now?
Trying to get back into TFT but a lot has changed since I last played. What are the best comps right now?
Teamfight Tactics Competitive Play Coming Soon
Riot Games just announced they will be officially supporting a competitive scene for Teamfight Tactics starting next year. Teamfight Tactics exploded in popularity a couple months ago and despite dwindling viewership on Twitch, the game mode itself is still going strong. Riot did not provide details about the upcoming competitive scene’s structure, but they shared some numbers to demonstrate TFT’s popularity. For example, apparently 33 million people play Teamfight Tactics each month.
