New Item System + 9.18 Patch Notes (TFT)

TFT Patch 9.18 introduces a brand new item system to the game which is designed to limit the large item variance due to RNG.

1. Mystery Box System:

-Common boxes contain: gold, champions, or Neeko's Help
-Uncommon Boxes contain item components, gold, champions, or Neeko's Help
-Rare boxes contain: Spatulas, full items, gold, champions, or Neeko's Help
-Every player gets approximately the same number of boxes across a single game.
-Every player gets approximately the same number of item components across a single game.

2. Neeko's Help

Place on a champion to create a 1-star copy of that champion and add it to your bench. Doing so consumes Neeko's Help.

3. XP Adjustments

Due to increased gold in the new item system, the XP needed for each level has been increased:
-Level 5: 10xp ⇒ 12xp
-Level 6: 18xp ⇒ 20xp
-Level 7: 30xp ⇒ 32xp
-Level 8: 46xp ⇒ 50xp
-Level 9: 64xp ⇒ 70xp

4. Champion Tier Drop Rates

-Level 3 by Tier: 65%/ 30%/ 5%/ 0%/ 0% ⇒ 70%/ 25%/ 5%/ 0%/ 0%
-Level 5 by Tier: 37%/ 35%/ 25%/ 3%/ 0% ⇒ 35%/ 35%/ 25%/ 5%/ 0%
-Level 6 by Tier: 24.5%/ 35%/ 30%/ 10%/ 0.5% ⇒ 25%/ 35%/ 30%/ 10%/ 0%
-Level 9 by Tier: 10%/ 15%/ 35%/ 30%/ 10% ⇒ 10%/ 15%/ 33%/ 30%/ 12%
-All other levels remain the same

Thoughts on Rank Decay?

I understand its purpose in normal League of Legends because if your skill has deteriorated then it could affect your teammates, but it seems like a weird thing to have in TFT since you're only playing for yourself. It's not like I was surprised or anything, but it's still unfortunate to login to this message.

There Will Be No Micropatch/9.17B This Week, and 9.18 Item Additions Are Pushed Back to 9.19 (Item Drop Changes Still Shipping)

1. No Weekly patch next week. We want to start slowing down to let the meta develop, and also feel like there isn't anything too pressing that needs immediate attention.

2. Sparring glove items are delayed until 9.19 and will NOT be shipping in 9.18. We're really happy with their designs, but want to take more time to resolve some of the gnarly bugs with them. The item drop changes will still be going out in 9.18

Patch 9.17 META : Void Assassins

Team comp description:
Big crits and tons of true damage make this comp strong against everything. If you are able to hit your rolls, you will find yourself in a good position to finish 1 or 2 in the game.

When to make:
First of all this comp requires an early Youmuu’s Ghostblade to commit to. If you start getting a lot of brawlers, then you know it’s time to make this comp.

Gameplan:
Early game: You are looking for void, brawlers, and assassins for your early game. Zed and Kassadin make for great item carriers since they are replaceable.
Mid game: This is the stage where your comp is starting to come online. Play Zed till you can replace him with Akali.
General tips:

You can use Zed until you can upgrade to Akali since he makes for a decent carry of items early game.
If you are having trouble getting all the void units, remember that Kassadin is a great placeholder and makes for a very powerful assassin in the early game.
Remember that this is the ideal setup, but you want to make sure you can get 6 assassins by level 7 and you have plenty of options so don’t be afraid to exercise them.
Ideal items for carries:

Cho’Gath (carry 1): Morellonomicon, Guardian Angel
Akali (carry 2): Dragon’s Claw, Hextech Gunblade, Guardian Angel
Rek’Sai (carry 3): Youmuu’s Ghostblade, Dragon’s Claw, Warmog’s Armor

TFT Hextech Paring Guide

So, it's been a couple of weeks since we've been introduced to Hextech and we've had many opportunities to experiment with Hextech synergy.

With Hextech build, you don't really need to go for the full Hextech comp but rather you wanna build around your Hextech units and pair with other comps.
Let's go through some of the best comps to pair Hextech with:

1. Gunslinger Blademaster
I guess it's obvious since they make a pretty powerful comp to begin with. Make sure you build lots of on hit items when you run this comp and an addition of 2 very powerful Hextech unit will elevate this comp even further.

Even with recent nerfs, Jinxs is still one of the strongest champions and if you get her right items, make sure she survive long enough, she will solo carry the entire game.
Also, Camille can be pretty useful with high damage in the earlier stage than late.
Try to run Jinx, Graves, Lucian, Gangplank, Shen, and Camille during mid game.

2. Brawler Sorcerer Shapeshifter
Key unit here is Vi. She is highly capable in this comp and Jayce will provide strong frontline alternative to Nidalee or Elise. You will have no problem scaling into the late game and you can even go Wild if you can get the right champions.

However, this comp heavily relies on stacking Shyvana and you will have to find Gnar somehow to make this comp work.
By the time you reach late game, hopefully your team will consist of Shyvana, Jayce, Gnar, Warwick, Vi, Aurelion Sol, Ahri and Morgana.

3. Brawler Gunslinger
With this comp, you'll be able to enjoy solid tanky frontline and powerful crowd control so you can protect Jinx who is the key champion for this comp. You must have Jinx for this comp to work. Place Jinx in the backline and you will build a strong wall of Brawlers to protect him. Have at least 4 Brawlers for this tanky frontline to work.

Ideally you want to run 4 Gun/4 Brawler with Vi, Jinx, Cho'Gath, Blitzcrank, Volibear, Graves, Jinx, Lucian, Tristana.

TFT 9.16B Shapeshifter Comp

Ever since the addition of the 6th member Jayce to the Shapeshifter family, the shapeshifter comp has become significantly powerful as a result. However, the key champion of this build is Shyvana. Another key champion you really wanna pay extra attention to with all the right equipments is Gnar with his recent buff. Lastly Nidalee will help carry early game and boost the team DPS.

FINAL TEAM:
Shyvana / Jayce / Elise / Swain / Nidalee / Gnar / Aurelion Sol / Vi / Warwick

CARRIES:
Shyvana or Gnar: Rapid Firecannon / Guinsoo's Rageblade / Bloodthirster
Gnar or Nidalee: Warmog's Armor / Stattik shiv
Swain: Luden's Echo / Rabadon's Deathcap / Morellonomicon

WHEN TO GO FOR THIS COMP:
If you have early 2 star Nidalee and Rapid Firecannon, Blodthirster or Statikk Shiv.

EARLY GAME:
Start with Nidalee and Warwick. Then you can add Garen, Vayne, and Lucion. You'll be able to switch to Nobles as an option.

MID GAME:
By the time you reach level 6, you should have pretty powerful Nidalee. Start hunting for other units to complete the final comp. Shyvana is your main champion. Try to get her to start level 2, she'll become unstoppable.

TFT Classes Patch 9.16 Tier List - BLADEMASTERS 'S'

Blademasters – S Tier
Blademasters are high DPS melee units, which will always have a place in a decent team composition. Their synergy gives a 35% chance of an additional attack with just two units as well, which makes sure you can take advantage of other synergies and keep your team balanced.

How many champions should I run?
It’s honestly hard to get any more than two Blademasters at a time. And that’s fine! Honestly, the 35% chance on hit to attack one extra time is more than enough–having four squishy melee attackers for a 35% chance to hit twice isn’t worth your team dying so fast.

Champions Ranked by Priority
If your main synergy is Blademasters, this is the order in which you should prioritize the Blademaster champions. Obviously, you’ll have other synergies that you need to account for, but if you need to transition up, this is the order in which you should do so.

1. Draven: Draven is one of the best single-target damage carries in the game. If you get a solid team comp in front of him with good protection he can easily take down the entire enemy team himself. Combined with the Imperial and Blademaster class synergies, he can take down even the largest of tanks.

2. Yasuo: The one, the only, the powerful. If you roll Yasuo during your Teamfight Tactics game, you need to pick him up. He has impressive DPS, and the Blademaster synergy can have him doing even more damage while opponents try to chip away at that shield.

3. Aatrox: Aatrox has an amazing ability that hits all the enemies in front of him, and coupled with the Demon synergy he has a chance of doing a lot of damage in a short time. On top of that, he has a 25% chance of a critical hit, and you have a unit that can make short work of entire teams.

4. Gangplank: Gangplank can be a decent Blademaster to start. His ability isn’t the best, but he has both the Gunslinger and Blademaster abilities, making him a versatile unit in the mid-game, and getting you that extra gold when you need it.

5. Shen: When pitted against Draven, Yasuo, and Aatrox, it’s hard to recommend Shen. His ability is neat, but as a melee attacker with low armor, he might get knocked out before even getting to use his skill. It’s hard to recommend him over the others unless the luck of the roll just isn’t on your side.

6. Fiora: Fiora is just not good, plain and simple. While you can use her to complete some class synergies, you should ultimately replace her as soon as possible.

TFT 9.16 Comps - Brawler

With utilizing Brawlers, you get the beefiest, tankiest team comp and usually the VIP of this comp in recent meta past few weeks has been the one and only Volibear.
This comp requires very specific game play and items. You need Rapid Firecannon to make this comp work, Blitzcrank to take care of troublesome enemy units in the back, and Glaical buff to freeze the enemy team.

You Final Team:
Volibear / Blitzcrank / Rek'Sai / Cho'Gath / Ashe / Anivia / Brand / Lissandra

Your Carries:
Volibear: Rapid Firecannon / Guinsoo's Rageblade / Warmog's Armor
Cho'Gath: Morellonomicon / Ionic Spark

When to go for this comp:
If you have early Rapid Firecannon and you keep finding Brawlers, you might consider going for this comp.

Early Game:

You initial priority is to get 4 Brawlers on board ASAP. In the meantime, utilize Wild units like Warwick to boost your damage

Mid Game:
Once you're in mid game, start focus on getting Elemental units. This will take some time since there are some high cost champions you can get higher level.

TFT Classes Patch 9.16 Tier List - GLACIALS 'S'

Glacials – S Tier
The Glacial synergy is pretty solid, with a chance of stunning an enemy for two seconds. In a game all about defeating your foes before they defeat you, those two seconds can mean the difference between a win and a loss.

How many champions should I run?
Right now there are few Glacial primary team comps. Most players seem to just be splashing two champions to get the base effect. That said, if you find yourself going for Glacial Rangers, you can justify hitting four.

Champions Ranked by Priority
If your main synergy is Glacials, this is the order in which you should prioritize the Glacial champions. Obviously, you’ll have other synergies that you need to account for, but if you need to transition up, this is the order in which you should do so.

1. Sejuani: Sejuani is great because of her incredibly large AOE ultimate which freezes the enemy team.

2. Ashe: Ashe is really good with the proper support and with most folks splashing a two Rangers, having her freeze enemies is super useful.

3. Anivia: Anivia, a 5-cost Glacial Elementalist, is the type of unit to build a team around. The Glacial Storm ability has a large range of effect and slows down the attack speed enemy caught within… which is one of the most important stats in Teamfight Tactics.

4. Braum: Both of the Guardians are good and worth using, and who is better comes down to the smaller details. Braum is a 2-cost unit, making him cheaper to level and more common to pull in general. His ability to reduce incoming damage helps him to tank damage and let your higher DPS units defeat your opponents. He also has Glacial synergy, if you’re running Volibear.

5. Volibear: With the right items Volibear used to be one of the strongest champions in the game though he’s noticeably less useful these days.

6. Lissandra: Lissandra isn’t the first pick for a good Glacial comp, but she can be helpful in the early game while waiting on other champions. She’s only a 2-cost unit, so you’ll see her in the earliest parts of the game, and her ability to freeze an enemy can help a lot when opponents are working on their own comps and don’t have a good counter. But it’s important to note that when Lissandra takes enough damage she’ll freeze herself, which isn’t ideal.

MANACE
MANACE MANACE
LV.22 S 1year

Current Meta Comp (9.16) Vi + Sorcers + Voids

Carries
Vi ~ Yuumi / Morellonomicon / Guardian Angel. These are the primary 3 items Vi wants. The very basic you should try to get a Yuumi (Spatula) this will enable Vi to get twice the mana per hit! Outside of that the last 2 spots have some flexibility with Morellonomicon & Guardian Angel being the best choice. You can also make a Spear of Shojin / Deathcap for more Ults and damage.

Cho'gath ~ AP/Survivability items. Morellonomicon is recommend for making the ults even better! Guardian Angel to make sure he gets Ults off you can also with mana to give him quicker ults. Would go for Morellonomicon & Guardian Angel + AP/mana.

Ahri ~ Morellonomicon is a must! It really enables her to do a lot of damage. After that Mana/AP she can use Statik Shivs fairly well as more attacks = more ults! Ahri generally wants to be placed in the 2nd row to enable her full potential! Now Ludens stack they can be incredibly effective on Ahri.

Aurelion Sol/Karthus ~ Mana/AP/Attack Speed any of these items works great for them! Rapid Fire Cannon can work very well on either enabling you to set up great positioning for Asol to go boom boom.

Team Breakdown
Brawlers ~ Rek'Sai / Cho'Gath / Blitzcrank / Warwick / Vi / Volibear (Ahri wants Warwick for wild bonus)

Sorcerers ~ Ahri / Kassadin / Twisted Fate / Lulu / Morgana / Veigar / Vi (Spatula) / Aurelion Sol / Karthus

Wild ~ Warwick / Ahri

Void ~ Kassadin / Rek'Sai / Cho'Gath

The basic goal of this build is to get Vi and enable her to go big! You can do this one of several ways. Vi + Yuumi’s is the goal. You can go for 6 Brawlers + Lulu/Kassadin at L8 which gives you 3 Sorcerers + 3 Void! You can also run 4 Brawler, 3 Sorcerer, 3 Void, 2 Hextech to get Jinx who can get rockets very quickly. If you can't find a Yuumi (Spatula) for Vi you can run 3 generic Sorcerers instead.

-Vi wants to be placed at the edge so she will be able to ult through the entire enemy team!
-Aurelion Sol wants to be backline generally aimed to get a big value ult.
-Lulu wants to be backline so she can get as many Ults off as possible.

Leveling Guide
Lulu / Warwick / Ahri are all solid pickups and you would be looking to stack Ahri in the short term as she will be able to carry you for the mid-game. Make sure she is placed in the 2nd row to get the most damage output from her. Morellonomicon / Needlessly Large Rod (for Yuumi) on her. When you do get a Spatula you can combine it on Ahri and you get the completed item to assign.

Mid Levels 5-6
At this point you should be able to find yourself a VI. When she gets 2* it can be worth selling Ahri to place the items on Vi now or you can wait till you get 2* Aurelion Sol or 2* Karthus. Make sure you have some Brawler buddies for Vi so she has some additional health. Lulu 2* will make your Vi live along time and hitting this combo is very effective. If you have leveled up Sorcerers and a 2* Vi try to hit 3 Sorcerer bonus to give Vi that extra damage.

Late Levels 7-9
At this point you should have most of your comp sorted out and your be looking to 2* the remainder of your units. When you hit 2* Cho’Gath this is when you want to make sure Void 3 is on the board to enable those very big hitting Cho’Gath ults. Collect Aurelion Sol + Karthus when you get them to 2* you will be looking to include them. Ahri is the replacement target unless you have 3* her. Later on you can replace Lulu as well with Asol/Karthus.

TFT 9.16 Comps - Sorcerer

In this comp, you get to use the under utilized 'Twisted Fate'. He will provide support to your key champions by allowing them extra mana. Kennen and other similar units will hopefully use their ults as much as possible in this comp and Elementalists and Yordles will absorb some damage to keep Sorcerers alive.

You Final Team:
Kenne / Veigar / Poppy / Brand / Lissandra / Morgana / Twisted Fate

Your Carries:
Twisted Fate: Stattik Shiv / Luden's Echo / Rapid Firecannon
Kennen: Guardian Angel / Morellononicon

When to go for this comp:
If you keep getting multiple Kennen and Twisted Fate in early game, you might consider going for this comp.

Early Game:
While you are looking for Kennen, run Darius and Garen. In the meantime, try to get Guardian Angel, Morellonomicon, Stattikk Shiv and Luden's Echo. Also, if you have components to makes Ionic Spark, go ahead.

Mid Game:
You should try to finalize your comp in the mid game. Equip Twisted Fate with Stattick Shiv and Luden's Echo. If possible, also put Rapid Firecannon on him.

TFT Classes Patch 9.16 Tier List - EXILES & ROBOTS 'S'

Exiles – S Tier
The Exile synergy is by far the most powerful in Teamfight Tactics. If an Exile doesn’t have any adjacent allies, they gain a shield that effectively doubles the unit’s health! So why aren’t Exiles at the top of this list? Well, there’s only one Exile at the moment, and he’s a late-game grab. You can’t really build a team around Exiles at this time, and this is more of a lucky pull than anything else.

How many champions should I run?
There is only one Exile at this time, and Exiles are essentially lone wolves, so… one.

Champions Ranked by Priority
If your main synergy is Exiles, this is the order in which you should prioritize the Exile champions. Obviously, you’ll have other synergies that you need to account for, but if you need to transition up, this is the order in which you should do so.

1. Yasuo: The one, the only, the powerful. If you roll Yasuo during your Teamfight Tactics game, you need to pick him up. He has impressive DPS, and the Blademaster synergy can have him doing even more damage while opponents try to chip away at that shield.
Robots – S Tier
Robots, like Exiles, only have one unit available in Teamfight Tactics. It promises an ability activation at the start of the match and in the case of Blitzcrank it’s incredibly good.

How many champions should I run?
You run one (1) Blitzcrank, that’s about all you can do at the moment.

Champions Ranked by Priority

If your main synergy is Robots, this is the order in which you should prioritize the Robot champions. Obviously, you’ll have other synergies that you need to account for, but if you need to transition up, this is the order in which you should do so.

1. Blitzcrank: The only Robot at the moment, Blitzcrank thankfully uses his Robot synergy well, which is to pull the furthest enemy to him (usually a weaker opponent kept in the back). Also, as a 2-cost unit, it’s possible to build a team around Blitzcrank, unlike the Exile Yasuo.

Patch 9.16 Comp Meta TFT - Draven Noble build

YOUR FINAL COMP:
-LEONA
-GAREN
-KAYLE
-GANGPLANK
-FIORA
-LUCIAN
-DRAVEN
-VAYNE

This comp will become an absolute monster in later game. So if you can survive until complete this comp, the first place will be guaranteed with this build.

You wanna go for this comp if you are planning to run a Draven comp and you find Kayle, hold on to Kayle till you complete your transition into 6 nobles.

In early game, run either Knights or Nobles to start with. Lucian can be your early, temporary carry.

In mid game, try to find the right carry for he items you have and run either Knights or Guardians to maintain survivability.

***Running 4 Knights would be ideal for survivability during transitioning till you find the Nobles. 3 out of 4 Knights 1 gold units and you can use Lucian, Gangplank or Rangers as your early temp carries.
***The most challenging thing about this comp is trying to survive without Kayle in the mid to late game. This comp doesn't really come to completion until after you reach level 8 since Kayle won't just appear up in your roll till then.

Main Carries are:
1. Draven - Rapid Firecannon, Runaan's Hurricane, Bloodthirster
2. Gangplankg - Guardian Angel, Hush, Red Buff

TFT 5 Gold Champion Analysis

Anivia
***Strong elementalist with a great ultimate and strong origin in glacial.
***Very easy to make a case for her to come on the board in almost any comp with glacial.

Karthus
***Immediate value with a powerful ultimate and a great origin to have active in late game sorcerer comps.
***Getting more than one ult off will likely win you the round, so position accordingly to avoid interruption by CC.

Kayle
***Immediate value on the board with her ultimate that blocks all damage for its duration and putting a stop to enemy DPS.
***The final piece for noble synergy and is always a great knight to have in any comp.

Miss Fortune
***Her ultimate that can be avoided or mistargeted. Bad origin and class. Not a valuable unit overall for the late game.
***If you are running gunslingers she is DEFINITELY better than Graves or Gangplank.

Swain
***Powerful shapeshifter with an ult that keeps him healthy. He is needed for the imperial 4 buff as well.
***Sometimes he dies without transforming and even if he does transform, he can be out of range for max effectiveness.

Yasuo
***Standalone unit that can do damage, pull enemy attention and stun multiple units.
***He’s a little hard to fit in a comp without Draven, but can carry hard in the off chance you get him to 2 stars.

TFT 9.16 Comps - Ranger

In order to make this comp work, you'll need to equip your main carries: Ashe and Varus with some very specific items. In addition, positioning is highly crucial in this comp. Make sure your Guardians are buffing other champions in your formations.

You Final Team:
Mrdekaiser / Braum / Varus / Kindred / Leona / Ashe / Vayne / Sejuani (optional)

Your Carries:
Ashe: Spear of Shojin / Spear of Shojin / Guinsoo's Rageblade
Varus: Stattik Shiv / Stattik Shiv / Cursed Blade
Braum: Thornmail

When to go for this comp:
If you've been getting lots of Recurve Bows and You have early upgraded Vayne. Also, Rangers are effective counter to Elementalist comp.

Early Game:
Try to make Stattik Shiv as soon as possible. Buy Nobles from the shop when you see them.

Mid Game:
Once you reach level 6, start rerolling and try to find Kindred or Leona. Then build your team around this new character.

TFT Classes Patch 9.16 Tier List - BRAWLERS 'S'

Brawlers – S Tier
The Brawler class has a great synergy–600 bonus health for 4 Brawlers, and 300 bonus health for 2 of them! On top of that, some of the most popular units, such as Cho’Gath and Volibear, are Brawlers, making this an easy and worthwhile comp to go for.

How many champions should I run?
As many as you want right now! Honestly Brawlers are good and you can run just a few or a full team with one hyper carry.

Champions Ranked by Priority
If your main synergy is Brawlers, this is the order in which you should prioritize the Brawler champions.

2. Cho’Gath: Cho’Gath is a four-cost unit that you can build a team around. They’re a Brawler with high DPS, and combined with the right item set-up Cho’Gath can be hard to take down. Their ability is also an AoE attack that stuns, and coupled with the Void synergy is a very powerful move.

3. Volibear: With the right items Volibear is one of the strongest champions in the game. What’s interesting about that is he’s also a frontline unit. There are very few of champions in the game that can both take and deal damage, but Voli is one of those.

4. Vi: Vi is currently somewhere between Cho’Gath and Rek’Sai. She may very well be stronger and more maliable than Volibear since she can get to the back line with her ultimate.

5. Rek’Sai: Rek’Sai is a Void Brawler like Cho’Gath, so she can be useful in getting the Brawler synergy to get extra health while working towards a stronger comp. However, she’s overall a rather unremarkable unit, and with better Brawlers and Void champions to choose from, she’s only worth fielding in the early-game.

6. Warwick: Warwick is a solid early to mid game unit. He’s got pretty good health, can deal out some damage, and has a crowd control ultimate. That said, you he’s one of the first units you want to switch out as he just can’t compare to the better Brawlers.

TFT 9.16 Best Shapeshifter Build

Shapeshifter Team Buffs
Once you’ve acquired at least three Shapeshifters on your board, they will gain 60% bonus health upon activation of their ultimate, as well as healing for the same amount. At (6) Shapeshifters gain 120% Bonus Health on Transform.

Early Game
The most common starter units for Shapeshifter 9.16 builds are Nidalee and Warwick because these two will benefit from the (2) Wild units bonus. Additionally, you can fill the last two/three spots with Knights or Nobles if you haven’t gotten three Shapeshifters yet (Nidalee, Elise and Shyvana). Nidalee, Warwick, Garen and Darius/Mordekaiser with an additional fifth unit will work just fine for the early phase of the game as you accumulate Shapeshifters and get good Gold Economy which is important as you’ll need it to push levels and get Gnar faster.

Mid Game
Mid Game (around level 5-6) you should be transitioning to Shapeshifters. Even level one Shapeshifters will be really strong if you’ve got the 3 SS bonus so don’t worry if your previous units were higher level (though don’t swap out a level 3 of course). The strongest level 6 Shapeshifter team you could possibly get will include: Nidalee, Shyvana, Elise (swap for Gnar if you have him this early), Warwick, Ahri and Rengar. This six champion team will result in 3 Shapeshifter and 4 Wild bonus which is overpowered at that point in the game because four Wild units will drastically increase the attack speed of your whole team.

Late Game
If you’ve survived until late game then the goal is to finally start running six Shapeshifters (there’s a REALLY low chance of getting Swain during mid game). Sell the previous units (save Ahri and WW though, you’ll need them for the final comp) and starting making this team work. Shapeshifters with 120% bonus life are going to be incredibly strong and if you can get Swain to level 2 he’s going to 1v9 the enemy. This particular build manages to achieve (6) Shapeshifter and (4) Beast as the main buffs. Along with those, you also get Brawler, Demon and Hextech. If you are playing versus Sorcerers, then swap out Vi for Aurelion Sol.

Strongest Shapeshifter Team Composition Setup
In case you manage to acquire 2 Forces of Nature (you’ll need a total of four Spatulas) then you can improve the Shapeshifter Wild build by adding two more Sorcerers to the team– Aurelion Sol and Karthus for (3) Sorcerer bonus!

TFT 9.16 Comps - Void

I see people building Void comp a lot more frequently lately. In this comp, you are building a very flexible Void & Brawler comp with a hint of Wild & Sorcerer for that extra attack bonuses. Your main champions with good items in this comp will be Cho'Gath, Ahri and Volibear. Also you can run other key units like Vi and Lulu if you can make an extra slot in your team in later game.

You Final Team:
Volibear / Blitzcrank / Rek'Sai / Cho'Gath / Kassadin / Warwick / Ahri / (Lulu: Force of Nature)

Your Carries:
Volibear: Rapid Firecannon
Ahri: Morellonomicon / Guardian Angel / Statikk Shiv
Cho'Gath: Zeke's Herald / Ionic Spark
Vi: Ionic Spark

When to go for this comp:
If you have good early Ahri or Volibear build and you have an early Rapid Firecannon or Guardian Angel.

Early Game:
You want to collect your Void units as quickly as possible. Then you can run Ahri and Warwick to turn on the Wild bonus. Then run Kha'Zix for now. but you'll be replacing him with Cho'Gath later.

Mid Game:
In mid game, you'll be working on equipping your Brawlers with good items. By the end of the mid game, you should have all 3 Void and all Brawlers.

TFT Classes Patch 9.16 Tier List - HEXTECH 'S'

Hextech – S Tier
Good itemization has a big effect on who ends up winning TFT matches. The new Hextech class has a trait that can win you matches outright. The bonus which disables all items for eight seconds within the bombed tile radius kicks in once you’ve deployed two Hextechs and becomes stronger once you’ve deployed all four.

How many champions should I run?
Our gut reaction is two so some items will be disabled. While four can be incredibly good, we think Hextech will be a good class to splash into your current builds.

Champions Ranked by Priority
If your main synergy is Hextech, this is the order in which you should prioritize the champions. Obviously, you’ll have other synergies that you need to account for, but if you need to transition up, this is the order in which you should do so.

1. Jinx – Jinx is built to be a hypercarry like Draven. This means she will likely succeed even without a bunch of Gunslingers. Just one should do to get the basic buff. With the right front line she should be free to go off.

2. Camille – Camille is interesting in that she has the same target mechanic as Blitzcrank. The champion she ults will cause all nearby units to also target them, giving you a way to burn down front line units.

3. Jayce – Shapeshifters have been lackluster so adding Jayce seems appropriate. He’s got a good knockback mechanic to eject tanks and let your units get to the back.

4. Vi – The verdict is out on Vi at the moment. Being able to charge the Aurelion Sol or any other carry at the back seems like a good idea, but this is essentially the opposite of Blitzcrank and requires wind up time.

TFT Items Tier List for Patch 9.16

***Guardian Angel moves down to A since it lost a lot of power with the HP nerf. In addition, changes to Hush and Demon make it even harder to get off an ult when revived.
***Statikk Shiv is still powerful, so we aren’t going to adjust the power level unless we see something say otherwise.
***Hush was changed but is still a very strong item, especially on gunslingers. This might rise in power as people play more.
***Infinity Edge got a significant damage buff so we moved it to A-tier. It works real well on Draven, Jinx, and assassins, so it should see play.
***Locket is no longer trash tier with the changes and can actually be effectively used in assassin comps, so we moved it to B-tier.

TFT 9.16 Comps - Nobles

Since the latest patch 9.16, Nobles are coming back strong. Early 2 star Lucian will play a crucial role in this build and he'll carry you till you complete 6 Noble comp. Also you will need the help of Jinx for the support from behind. With Nobles, you get great survivability as they will protect themselves and 2 Guardians will also add to your team defense.

You Final Team:
Jinx / Lucian / Leona / Kayle / Garen / Vayne / Fiora / Braum

Your Carries:
Jinx: Rapid Firecannon / Statikk Shiv / Hush or Hextech Gunblade
Lucian: Hush

When to go for this comp:
If you can make early 2 star Lucian, you might wanna consider going for this comp.

Early Game:
Try to get early 2 star Nobles such as Garen, Lucian, Fiora and Vayne. If you find Darius, you can run him temporarily but you'll gonna have to sell him later.

Mid Game:
Start looking for Jinx and other high tier champions. Get Braum and Leona to enhance survivability but your key champion for defense is Kayle.

TFT Classes Patch 9.16 Tier List - GUNSLINGERS 'S'

Gunslingers – S Tier
Gunslingers are ranged physical attackers, which is great to help round out a party. They are high DPS units, albeit a little squishy, but the best Gunslingers have abilities to counteract that. The Gunslinger synergy also allows them to stack additional attacks and do even more damage while your melee units are taking the blows.

How many champions should I run?
Running two Gunslingers gives you a 50% chance of proccing an extra attack on a random enemy. Running four allows you to get that attack on two random enemies, that’s ideal if you’re building a Gunslingers comp. Otherwise, stick with two.

Champions Ranked by Priority
If your main synergy is Gunslingers, this is the order in which you should prioritize the Gunslinger champions. Obviously, you’ll have other synergies that you need to account for, but if you need to transition up, this is the order in which you should do so.

1. Jinx: If Jinx ends up anything like Draven, she’s easily the best Gunslinger. Most of these champions are only good because of the number of champions they can attack with the buff, but Jinx can hyper carry matches.

2. Lucian: Lucian is a common pick in general in the current meta, and for good reason. He only costs 2 coins a unit, and you’ll roll him a lot, making him very easy to level up. He’s viable in teams throughout the entire game, and his ability lets him dash away from danger. Even beyond a Gunslinger team comp, he’s a strong and useful unit.

3. Tristana: Tristana is a 1 cost unit, so she’s really easy to build up and have handy in the early and mid-game. Additionally, Tristana’s ability is great for tankier units that are protecting weaker allies, as when her bomb explodes it has an area of effect.
Gangplank: Gangplank has a lower DPS than most of his Gunslinger allies, and his ability can whiff if he isn’t placed correctly on the field, so he’s a bit higher maintenance than other

4. Gunslingers. However, he also has a Blademaster synergy, and if you’re running both, you can rectify his DPS in short order and a bit of luck.

5. Miss Fortune: As a 5 cost unit, Miss Fortune can be hard to pull and will only be available in the late game, but she’s the unit you can build an entire team around. Miss Fortune has high DPS and an ability that can hit a lot of enemies, and she can decimate opponents with the right items.

6. Graves: Graves is a Gunslinger Pirate, much like Miss Fortune and Gangplank, so if you’re trying to run both synergies at once Graves can be useful. However, the Pirate synergy of “more money” isn’t the most useful beyond the early game, and Tristana is the better 1-cost Gunslinger of the bunch.
