If you have the coords for the overworld then divide those coords by eight and build your portal there but, if you have coords for the nether then just go there - sorry if this is too late.

Items can't despawn if the chunk they're in isn't loaded so you should probably go too where you think you died wearing gold boots and iron armor.

It’s in a chest but I have no clue to travel around the nether I have the coordinates tho
