Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1

Apex Legends is like any shooter that requires you to stay on top of which guns are strongest and which weapons are weaker in each given Season, or sometimes in each given split! The weapon-meta is subject to change every season in Apex because of the variety of weapons to choose from and the various tweaks that the developers make both in-between seasons and in the split of the season. To shake things up even more, 3 weapons are ‘vaulted’ at the start of every season and it isn’t uncommon to see new weapons introduced as new seasons start as well! All in all-knowing which weapons are the best to choose can be difficult without a guide showing you where to look - and that’s where we’ve got you! In this guide, we will be looking at the weapons in Apex Legends and ranking them with the best being in S-Tier and the worst in D-Tier! Mag size will be denoted by none/common/rare/epic and each weapon will shot body and headshot damage for one bullet.

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 2

S-Tier   R-99 The R-99 is BACK and wow did it come back with a vengeance! It seems as though every team-fight you get into, you will find most of the players running one in their setup. The R-99 is a high-risk high reward - hard to control speed and damage that can pay off in the right hands!   Mag size: 20/22/24/27   Body Damage: 11   Headshot Damage: 17

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 4

Mastiff The Mastiff finds itself in the top tier of weapons for this season of Apex Legends! Players were torn last season between the peacekeeper and the Mastiff and now the Mastiff has emerged as the clear-cut favorite. 6 shells of up-close destruction - make sure to stay on the move!   Mag size: 6   Body Damage: 104   Headshot Damage: 130

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 6

Volt The Volt finds itself as a top-dog weapon of season 7 because of the low recoil, ease of use, and mobility with the weapon in hand. The Volt is just a great all around weapon and can be a great duo with the R-99 or Mastiff to create a close-ranged powerhouse!   Mag size: 19/21/23/26   Body Damage: 16   Headshot Damage: 24

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 8

Triple Take The Triple Take emerged as the victorious sniper in Season 6 and has cleared the way in Season 7. The Triple take is extremely powerful and has become even more powerful with the recent changes to speeding up the fire rate! If you like a more long ranged approach - look no further than the Triple Take!   Mag size: 6/7/8/9   Body Damage: 69   Headshot Damage: 138

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 10

A-Tier   R-301 The R-301 moved down 1 tier slot from last season now finding itself in the A-tier. The R-301 is an incredibly versatile weapon to choose that can be used at all ranges depending on the sight you have equipped.   Mag size: 18/20/25/28   Body Damage: 14   Headshot Damage: 28

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 12

Havoc The Havoc is scarier than it has ever been with the possibility of a 36 bullet magazine and the wild damage output it already packs. If you love the Havoc then you will especially love how it plays this season on the new map and with the updated recoil balances!   Mag size: 24/28/32/36   Body Damage: 18   Headshot Damage: 36

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 14

Devotion The Devotion is a weapon that offers an insane amount of damage output if you can manage to control the crazy recoil it has! In the right hands the devotion can be a tool to take out multiple enemies in one clip. In the wrong hands it can be almost completely useless - choose wisely!   Mag size: 41/46/51/55   Body Damage: 16   Headshot Damage: 32

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 16

Hemlok The Hemlok was knocked down slightly from last season with the recent changes to the recoil. In Season 6 they removed almost all recoil completely from the Hemlok making it extremely easy to 100-0 players from all sorts of distances. Thankfully Respawn fixed this and added the balance that the Hemlok needed to find!   Mag size: 18/24/27/30   Body Damage: 66 Burst   Headshot Damage: 132 Burst

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 18

G7 Scout The G7-Scout is the ultimate Niche weapon. For players who love weapons that reward precision aim - this weapon is a great choice for you! The G7 scout is mainly a cross-map damage dealer which can also be deadly from mid-range!   Mag size: 10/15/18/20   Body Damage: 34   Headshot Damage: 60

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 20

Wingman The Wingman is the weapon that everyone uses or wants to be good with! Very similar to the G7-Scout but more extreme - the Wingman rewards players who can land their shots with accuracy making it both easy yet hard to down players with a small magazine yet high single bullet DPS - odd, right?   Mag size: 5/7/6/8   Body Damage: 45   Headshot Damage: 90

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 22

B-Tier   Flatline The Flatline is a great middle of the pack weapon to pick up when you want to ditch your early game panic-pickup items! When fully kitted the flatline can deliver a serious punch in the right hands - just make sure to learn the recoil pattern to use it most effectively!   Mag size: 20/25/28/30   Body Damage: 19   Headshot Damage: 38

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 24

Eva-8 Auto The Eva-8 Auto shotgun finds itself in the B-tier as a great secondary weapon to finish enemies off when your primary runs out of bullets, or to fully kill downed enemies with ease. If you like weapons that can fire quickly as semi-autos or weapons that can be upgraded to double-shot weapons then this is a great choice for you! Mag size: 8   Body Damage: 63   Headshot Damage: 90

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 26

Alternator The Alternator is a great starting weapon to pick up at the beginning of any game to help take out enemies fairly easily! The Alternator has moderate fire rate and moderate damage with low recoil and great maneuverability. Using this weapon as a sidearm can also be a great choice!   Mag size: 19/22/25/27   Body Damage: 15   Headshot Damage: 23

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 28

Spitfire The Spitfire has been tweaked time and time again and has finally found a niche group of players that enjoy the power it can offer. The spitfire truly shines with an epic extended mag giving the user 63 bullets to spray at enemies. Even if it isn’t dealing damage, the spitfire causes chaos on the battlefield simply by the threat of a shower of bullets at any moment.   Mag size: 40/46/52/63   Body Damage: 18   Headshot Damage: 36

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 30

Longbow The Longbow is a great weapon for any sniper extraordinaire! The Longbow can be upgraded with every sniper upgrade known to man as well as a barrel stabilizer and a skull piercer for added headshot damage! Use this weapon if headshot accuracy and sniping are your strong-suits!   Mag size: 6/8/10/12   Body Damage: 55   Headshot Damage: 116

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 32

C-Tier   RE-45 The RE-45 is the ultimate starting game sidearm weapon to be pulled out after your primary runs out of bullets. This Season has the new hop up ‘quickdraw holster’ which allows you to swap to and aim down sights faster with the RE-45 and Wingman. Because of this both weapons have seen slight upticks in viability!   Mag size: 16/19/22/25   Body Damage: 12   Headshot Damage: 18

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 34

Sentinel The Sentinel received a few quality of life changes this season and has seen more players using it because of the sheer ability it has to crack enemies' shields completely for your team to instantly follow up. If you’re a sniper who prefers bolt-action style rifles - give this one a try!   Mag size: 4/5/6/7   Body Damage: 70   Headshot Damage: 140

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 36

LSTAR The LSTAR is a niche weapon that has an overheat function instead of a reload function which can keep you from getting stuck in an animation if timed correctly. One deadly part of the LSTAR which is often overlooked is the headshot damage this weapon can deal. If you hit your headshots - the LSTAR is a great choice for a secondary weapon!   Mag size: N/A (Overheat)   Body Damage: 18   Headshot Damage: 36

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 38

D-Tier   P2020 The P2020 finds itself at the bottom of the weapon tier list once again and for good reason! The P2020 is a mediocre early game weapon to start - the DPS simply isn’t enough for a game that has shields and regular health. The only time this weapon shines is with hammerpoint rounds which only caters to a niche crowd. Perhaps we will see changes to this weapon or maybe it will always be left on the ground!   Mag size: 10/13/15/18   Body Damage: 15   Headshot Damage: 23

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 40

Charge-Rifle The Charge Rifle marks the bottom of this list for weapon viability. The Charge rifle simply takes more than it gives - it takes an incredibly long time to reload after the shots have fired and only has a maximum magazine size of ‘8’ which fires 2 shots at once so it really only has 4 bullets. If you can make the most of this weapon, certainly use it! For most though, the Charge Rifle just isn’t it.   Mag size: 8 (but really 4)   Body Damage: 90   Headshot Damage: 116

Apex Legends: General - Apex Legends - Weapon Tier List - Season 7 Split 1 image 42

Mozambique The Mozambique saw a slight surge last season with the added damage and magazine capacity. Unfortunately, it finds itself at the bottom once again this season though. The damage output just isn’t quite enough and the magazine capacity seems to always run out just when you need it most and takes far too long to reload. Perhaps next season?   Body Damage: 45   Headshot Damage: 69
