Apex Legends - 5 High Traffic Locations to Drop (King’s Canyon)
Landing at high traffic locations is a great way to get right into the action of battle without wasting a moment on the dropship. If you prefer to land in the thick of battle, gunning your way to the top for premium loot right away, this post is for you! In this list, we will be exploring 5 locations on King’s Canyon that are guaranteed to have visitors, and will leave you with high-tier loot to continue your fight to the #1 spot! In this list, we will be exploring Capacitor, Gauntlet, Artillery, Containment, and Bunker.
Capacitor Capacitor has been a favorite landing location of many because of its central location and the amount of loot it provides for your team. What makes this location so great is how many teams will land with you with the same goal in mind - claiming the location for themselves. Of all of the buildings in Capacitor, the central, rightmost buildings nearest the charge tower are the most common. You will often find 3+ teams just in these two buildings, so get ready for a fight! If you manage to make it out alive and on top - congratulations - you are now stacked for the rest of the game. From here, the ideal rotations are Cage, Hydro Dam, or rotating directly to the big bridge.
Salvage Salvage has turned into the new ‘skulltown’ of Kings Canyon and for good reason! Salvage provides 3 main areas to attack for you and your team - the main building, side building, and the back 3 buildings, all of which provide different playstyles and loot for you and your team. If you land in the main building, you will usually be met by 2-3 teams contesting you for weapons and other loot. If you find that other teams have a better land than you do, you can rotate to the side building to gather loot before pushing into the main building. And if there are too many enemies in both locations, you can choose to hit the back 3 buildings before pushing the now-fighting enemies with more ease. What makes this location so viable is how much loot it has in a small area, its balloon which can help your team reposition immediately, and its respawn beacon in case anyone in your team gets thirsted.
Artillery Artillery is a great location for players who like the city feel while on the Kings Canyon map. Artillery allows users to have a choice at the 2 main buildings located on the far left and the far right, as well as the central loot hub which connects the two. When landing in this location, it’s important to land with your team and to scope out where enemies are landing to ensure that nobody goes down too quickly. Artillery is great because it gives you a variety of buildings to loot, as well as plenty of loot boxes to choose from. It also allows you and your team to choose between rotating into Containment, or taking the balloon and rotating into Capacitor to hunt down any remaining teams!
Containment Containment is easily the second most landed location on the Kings Canyon map because of its high tier loot, and infrastructure for positioning. Containment provides plenty of building and cover for you and your team to play around. If you come up short in a gunfight, you can always resort to a roof for high ground and can often find an escape route because of how chaotic things can get in this location. The ideal land is to first hit the buildings at the top of the stairs and work your way down, clearing teams as you go. It’s important to stay aware of which teams are fighting one another and their locations during this time, and to listen for the start and finish of enemy gunfights to give you and your teammates time to heal and prepare for more battles. From containment, the best rotations are going through to the pit, or to rotate to clean up any remaining enemies at the bunker.
Bunker Bunker is a fun location to throw things back to where it all started! Remember landing here during preseason and getting wrecked countless times by enemies who knew what they were doing? Yeah, me too! Bunker is a tight corners, high risk, high reward location that will often have 2-3 teams contesting it at any time. Beware for Caustic’s and Bangalore’s pushing bunker as they have a significant advantage with their gas and smoke. What makes Bunker ideal is that it’s a quick pick to get loot for an immediate rotation with it’s ideal location. From Bunker, it’s common to push through to clean up the teams remaining at Gauntlet, or to push into the ravine and hold the bridge area. In any case, Bunker is a great landing location for teams who thrive on the action of battle!
Landing hot will always ensure gunfights and easy accumulation of loot by looting enemy deathboxes. I hope this guide helped you find more locations to land while still finding the action you’re looking for!
