PSA: Ubisoft fixes Far Cry 5's Arcade Mode Lobby Creation Process.
The introduction of the arcade is an awesome feature that I wish that more games had because users can make whatever they want and share those creations with anyone.Initially, setting up multiplayer in this mode was a complete pain because once a person creates a lobby, they couldn't really setup their lobby (game type, maps, and so forth). The way that it worked at first was you create a lobby and your friends join via a password (password protecting is cool) and then the game would choose someone to pick out some maps within the time span of 18 seconds and if someone didn't pick out the maps then the game would choose the same maps over and over again. With the new update, users have complete control over creating a lobby and setting up the game mode settings without a timer or without having to wait on a chosen person to pick a map within a time limit. Ubisoft has streamlined the process which is awesome. I hope that more people go back to playing with the arcade mode now that it's streamlined.
Your favorite Far Cry game?
Mine is the spin-off
Far Cry Instincts: Predator!
I still reminisce on my days of childhood,
when I was playing that game with my brother. Back in the days it had everything a good game needed.
Though it wasn‘t open world I really enjoyed playing it again and again, everytime going for a different approach.
Of course you can‘t compare Insticts: Predator with any modern Far Cry, but still it already showed basic approaches leading the way to what Far Cry has become now adays.
But I sure am aware of Instincts: Predator only being a spin-off from FC1, but that was yet before I started playing any video-games. So I‘m really curious about your opinion! What was your favorite Far Cry game? Was Instincts: Predator actually very similar to FC1 or did it feature new aspects compared to the main game?
