How do some people have their dragons leveled up like crazy?

As far as I am aware you can only obtain spirit from the dragon action through those purple tickets, and you still only get the option of getting spirit from that basically once in a millennia, so how do some people already have their dragons at 5+ levels?

    Through the shop maybe? there are deals present in the shop.

    they have the money, and probably bulk buy alot of diamonds or coins to further their progress.

    ALOT of those can really boost their progress in the game.
