Who should I get?
Im in a sticky situation who I should get. The options are Blackbeard,Frost,Capitao or Echo pls comment who I should get, most commented operator will win and be bought.
Use Elas mine against her
When you are being tracked by Jackal, you can retrace your steps & know where he will be coming from to set a trap.
In the same way, when you trigger Elas mines, usually she will be coming for you soon after. So, when you hit one, find cover, then sit & wait for Ela to come to you
Does anyone have tips on how to improve and what operators i should use? I got the game on the free weekend and im new to the game. If u do have any tips that would be greatly appreciated

Any newbies need help? Ask me anything I'll help you out
I've probably got more playtime in competitive tournaments than you have overall playtime. I want to make sure new players get the right advice. If you have questions about how to participate in tournaments, where to find competitive teams, or any general questions about Siege, I'll answer them for you.
How to warm up so you can play your best in ranked!
So recently about a month ago I saw this video by aust1n (a very good rainbow player) and I watched this video and I have been doing this ever since I first saw it. Just thought I would help you guys out if you don’t know how to get in the feel of the game. Hers the link
Also if you’d like I’ll leave my YouTube here. Check it out if you want to!
My console settings
I play on Xbox (don’t make fun I’m broke) and here are my console settings that work pretty well for me
Dpi and settings
Hi my name is Jacob and i enjoy like everyone in this community playing Siege. In the last days i was looking for better settings and this is what i think could be very usefull: First this is a very cool Website. You can check out the Settings of Pro Players and try to find your best optiann. https://prosettings.net/rainbow-6-pro-settings-gear-list/
Try this settings with different operators, Scopes and Fov (field of view). Thats all i can learn you about settings and i just want to say a few words. Find your own settings, dont take the Settings of pengu Just because he is one of the best Players of this game. Even between the Settings of Pros are huge differences. Some play 4:3 other 16:9
How i think you can get better:
1)change sensitivity to a higher dpi so you have better recoil controll and reaction time
2)pick easy operators like: rook,ash
3)learn the cam spots,peeking/hiding spots
4)callout if you hear/see someone
How to get better at Rainbow Six Siege
1) Learn the maps
2) Main these ops
-Attack: Thermite and Thatcher
-Defense: Rook and Doc
3) STOP TRYING TO GET KILLS
-your team needs you to be alive to successfully attack/defend. If you die as these ops your team's chances of winning are lower.
4) COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TEAM
-instead of trying to get kills to let your team know where the enemy is so they can take care of them (assuming your teammates have more experience)
-even if you die to use whatever you have left to gather and share intel
5) DO NOT RAGE QUIT
-I know I said not to die but you will. The enemy always has tricks up their sleeve and they will manage to outplay you. Instead of getting mad learn from it. Raging doesn't help anyone.
YOUR RANK DOES NOT DEFINE YOU OR YOUR SKILL. In other words, don't worry about it, as cheesy as it sounds, just have fun :)
Feel free to ask any questions about this list!
Tips for Noobs 2.0
Here is the second part of my beginner's guide to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege:
Operators: By the way, this is how I call the operator groups so do not give out to me. There are several different operator groups. Now I'm not talking about the counter-terrorism group they're in. I'm talking about their ability and what they can do. There are soft-breachers, hard-breachers, supports, shields, heavies, roamers, anchors and trappers. All of these have an important role.
Here are some operators in different groups:
Some of these operators you have to buy in store or with renown but they are all really useful.
Their abilities really matter to their team. Valkryie can deploy cameras that her team can use to spot enemies. Twitch can deploy a drone that destroys gadgets, including defender ones.
You need to learn these operators and their abilities to get good at the game.
Alright, I will end it here for this post but follow me if you want more tips soon.
Tips for Noobs 1.0
Okay, you just got the game, you have a device to play it on but wait... you don't have a clue how to play it. BIG PROBLEM. If you don't know anything about the game then you will obviously not win your first few casual matches. Here we go... :
1. Game Modes: I'll make this simple. On Bomb, attackers need to defuse the bombs and the defenders need to protect the bombs. On Secure Area, attackers need to enter the area that they need to secure and the defenders need to stop the attackers from securing the area by killing all the attackers or something like that. On Hostage, attackers need to enter the building and bring the hostage to the extraction zone. If the round time ends on any of these game modes, the attackers lose. (By the way, the time will stop if you have/are either planted the defuser and are waiting for the bomb to be defused, escorting the hostage and one of the attackers has the hostage, or you are securing the area.) The round can end quicker if you kill all the enemy team. Depends on their progression or whichever word you want to use for it.

Hi I know I should be proficient at this but I suck at attack like I don’t do anything and go really slow which result in me running out of time. I’m a plat 3 btw and I win my rounds mainly on defense, I am just looking for tips to push and attack properly , like to how to quickly clear rooms and kill roamers.
Also I’m not boosted.
Any tips please ?
So I've been gold 4 for a while now, switching between that and gold 3, and I'm not sure how I can rank up. I don't really get a lot of kills since I'm more of a team player that has good callouts and I go support ops . So any tips would be appreciated, thanks.
Question for PC gamers
I wanted to ask all PC gamers that play R6 what PC they they think is best to use for gameplay for I normally play Xbox but want to expand a little further.
Whats the best and most effective way of holding the recoil on rainbow six siege?
How to aim long range?

Tips for Cav
Hey I was wondering if anyone could really give me some tips on Cav. I used to love playing her but as of lately it’s gotten frustrating. I keep getting killed every time I interrogate even with teammates around. Should I just not interrogate or is there a specific thing I should do?
I honestly doing daily terrorist hunts help out game play overall. Me and my friends do a few before we start playing casual to get warmed up and practice our aim. Also go back and redo situations, especially if you don't have all three stars done. It helps me out, hope it does the same for you. :)
