A lot of people haven't seen how Glaz looked before his design was finalized! Ubi considered giving him the 556xi. I wonder if Glaz was initially going to have Thermite's ability...
He was going to have the ability to shoot out a ping like Lion that would give an outline of the last known location of the enemies regardless of moving or not within a distance of 15m. Leaks that have since been removed from existence but was actually his original idea.
That would have been pretty broken. Thank goodness they didn't stick with their original idea!
Oh yea it 100%. That's why they took their time to implement it with Lion which was still aggressive at first but they soon fixed it up. It's hard to make something like that balanced but it works now.
Lion's original ability was more broken than any other ability we've seen in R6. The infamous "Yellow Meta" was a thing of nightmares. I still don't think his ability belongs in R6, but it's nowhere near as bad as it once was.
Ye. His ability somewhat fits but it was just badly implimented.
I'm not a fan of an operator with an ability that boils down to playing "Red Light Green Light." At least it's manageable now.
Patriots2994 Well yea but then again it's not for long and I've personally never died while being Lioned. Even clutching up. Prefire and comms is all you need. Mainly used for hard pushes in high ranks and I've learned to adapt. Besides I pretty much main Vigil and just in case you didn't know. Vigil counters Lion. Use ERC-7 and you can freely move around and not get tracked.
Vein.LFT I don't die due to his ability often, but it makes it incredibly challenging to handle pushes from multiple angles when you're being droned and told to freeze in place.I flex play Vigil fairly often in Ranked against drone-heavy teams. I also flex over if I see attackers running Lion as I time my flanks with his ability so the attackers have a false sense of security.
Patriots2994 Vigil is one hell of an operator that rarely gets used effectively by many.
Vein.LFT Agreed. I have a good understanding of how to properly use him. It makes for a lot of fun gameplay!
