[DISCLAIMER: This guide is intended to be as bare bones as possible in order to give general advice to any new Rainbow Six: Siege players. In addition to this article being opinionated, I would like to also state that zero-sum strats in this game do not exist and the tell of a good Siege player is their decision making and adaptation to the changing battlefield.]     Clubhouse is a triple-level map (consisting of three floors) found both in ranked play as well as professional. The current architecture of the map can favor either attackers or defenders depending upon which team wins the ban phase, as well as which site is being played.   Tachanka is a one speed, three armour, defensive operator. The operator's ability is his deployable LMG; a stationary machine gun that can be placed anywhere by the player. The machine gun is equipped with what is essentially the same as Black Beard’s ‘rifle shield’. This protects the operator’s head from bullets and other projectiles until the shield's damage threshold is met and the shield breaks. Similar to Amaru, Tachanka is a very situational operator. Tachanka’s immoble nature makes the operator's viability very low as he can only be used for very specific, niche, tasks which may or may not even occur in the match. That being said, the operator is so commonly neglected that, actually bringing him, can provide defenders with a unique advantage. I will be explaining in detail how Tachanka can be effectively used on all maps currently in the ranked map pool.   If you are to be in accordance with the current meta, Tachanka’s loadout should be as follows: PRIMARY: 9X19-SMG (Attachments to player preference) SECONDARY: PMM (Attachments to player preference) UTILITY: Deployable shield.     DEFENDING: [2F] CASH(A) - CCTV(B) The primary route of attack on this bomb site will be by the attacking team breaching the east reinforced wall inside of CCTV(B) (also known as ‘Platform wall’) as this will provide a direct route for attackers to plant the defuser behind ‘Server Rack’ located inside of the CCTV bomb site. Tachanka should place his LMG turret inside of Cash(A) so that the weapon is looking through the mid-wall angles made on the soft wall separating Cash(A) and CCTV(B). This position will benefit the defending team in a huge way in that it will completely prevent attackers from being able to establish any legitimate control into CCTV(B) from Platform as Tachankas LMG placement will force attackers to take an alternate route to the bomb site. The most common counter to this strategy will be by attackers gaining control over Construction and breaching the reinforced wall separating Construction and Cash(A) as this will expose the position of Tachanka’s turret entirely; allowing attackers to re-establish control inside of CCTV(B) from Platform and plant the defuser. LMG PLACEMENT: [2F] CASH(A) - CCTV(B)

DEFENDING: [2F] BEDROOM(A) - GYM(B) The primary route of attack on this bomb site will be by the attacking team breaching the reinforced wall between outside ‘jacuzzi’ and the bedroom/gym hallway (commonly known as Jacuzzi wall). After breaching the Jacuzzi wall, attackers will attempt to plant the defuser inside of Gym(B). Attackers will also commonly dedicate a large amount of time and resources to gain control over 2F Construction. Tachanka should place his LMG turret inside of Gym(B) so that the weapon is looking directly through the exterior single-window inside of Gym(B). Not only will attackers typically not anticipate this (which will often times end up in an easy couple of frags) but this will also force attackers to waste even more utility to destroy the turret so that they can then destroy the castle barricade which will oftentimes be placed in the doorway behind you to help protect the Bandit attempting to trick the wall. The only counter to this strategy will be by an attacker like Buck, Ash, or Zofia going underneath you on the first floor inside of Pool Table and destroying the hatch of Gym(B) as this will expose your turret and force you to reposition. LMG PLACEMENT: [2F] BEDROOM(A) - GYM(B)

DEFENDING: [1F] BAR(A) - STOCK(B) The primary route of attack on this bomb site will be by the attacking team planting the defuser inside of one of the two doorways located inside of Stock(B). Although the attackers have a very direct route to the bomb site from the outside, successfully planting the defuser inside of Stock(B) can be difficult due the exposure attackers are under from ‘stage’ (located inside of Bar(A). Tachanka should place his LMG turret on the stage so that the weapon is looking directly into Stock(B) through the soft wall which separates the two bomb sites. This will actually be a viable strategy considering that attackers will commonly place a huge amount of attention on Stock(B). The most obvious counter to this play will be by attackers gaining full control over the front door and Lounge as this will expose Tachanka’s right flank to any attacker inside of the front door MudRoom. Players using Tachanka’s turret should always keep in mind that it takes a little over a second to fully disembark from the turret - this provides attackers with a great window of opportunity to flank you while you are in the animation of exiting the weapon. Use Tachanka carefully. LMG PLACEMENT: [1F] BAR(A) - STOCK(B)

DEFENDING: [BSMNT] CHURCH(A) - ARSENAL (B) The primary route of attack on this bomb site will be by attackers establishing vertical control over the bomb sites by opening the hatches located on the ceiling of ‘Moto connector’ and Arsenal(B). To do this, attackers will first need to gain control of the first floor. Tachanka should place his LMG turret inside of Arsenal(B) at the end of the long hallway which looks directly towards the bottom of the main stairs. This will provide defenders with the advantage of maintaining a serious amount of pressure on attackers while they attempt to breach the Church(A) wall from short hall and Main Stairs. The most obvious counter to this position will be by attackers flanking Tachanka’s turret through Dirt Tunnel and Blue. Considering that these routes to the bomb site are already incredibly popular, bringing Tachanka on this bomb site is typically not the right play. However, if the defending team has a really solid strategy for protecting these two flanks, Tachanka can play a valuable role in pressuring attackers as they attempt to establish control at the bottom of the main stairs. LMG PLACEMENT: [BSMNT] CHURCH(A) - ARSENAL (B)
