Out of Loyalty to Bungie

Out of Loyalty to Bungie I’ve purchased Destiny 2, since I’ve gotten all Halo games released by Bungie, and Destiny 1, but I am Extremely disappointed with this game, I spent money on this game and as a 15 year old teen, money is tough, and it wants me to buy the expansion pack to get past level 20, I’m so just sad to see them take this turn, and with high hopes I turn to Destiny 3, which I have heard whispers of coming out.

    Nice post!

With Bungie splitting from Activision I‘m looking ahead to the release of Destiny 3 with a good feeling.
What you described in your post are just symptoms of Activisions reign over Destiny.

As a subsequent thread under this post I‘d love to hear the communities opinion about the split up!
What is for sure is that Bungie somehow needs to make profit to carry on, so does that mean the future of Destiny may not even bear too many changes about the stuff like expensive expansions, everversum shop and Co.?

Feel free to share your opinions below!

See the thing is about that, is that even tho Destiny is for us, they still need to make cash, and with Destiny 2 discouraging players from being a part of investing their money into getting Destiny 3, they have lost some players, I mean, trust is going out the window, and they really need to nail Destiny 3 to earn it back, I think that’s going to be vital for the series as well as Bungie as creators themselves

    Bungie is the best!!!

Yes, I completely agree, but their main source of a income A. Should not be expansions it should be the game itself and B. Not blocking light levels and levels from non expansion owning players would not hurt their income, in my opinion, All that expansion should be is an alternate, or more storyline, and special exotic and legendary guns

The expansions and annual pass are cheaper now then when destiny die hard bought them. People don't realizedestiny costs money to keep running. If you've made it to 20 imagine the grind to 50. It dose cost money but its totally worth it with everything destiny 2 offers

Destiny 1 had the same release schedule as Destiny 2 has so far, and expansions have always been extra. Destiny 2 Year Three is an unknown, as is Destiny 3, but that’s a good distance away for now. If you like the base Destiny 2 experience, it is well worth the money for Forsaken.

But some people only had the money to buy the game, not the expansions

This is a game that never hid that there would be, and you'd need to get Expansions...

At least once you gt the dlc u only need to purchase forsaken + pass since it gives you CoO & Warmind

  • StormbladeX69 (XBL) verified LV.25 Shadow Jan 18, 2019, 05:32 PM

Forsaken is very worth the $40. Then get the Pass when you can. D2 without Forsaken isn't great, and as others pointed out it includes CoO and Warmind.

  • SuicidalFrog151 LV.3 Lurker Jan 18, 2019, 08:19 PM

That’s the issue , the base game of D2 should be amazing without expansions (like D1 was) and then let expansions just be icing on the cake

Tbh d1 vanilla wasnt as good as you think it might have ben. The story wasnt really clear, and there wasnt much to do otherwise. I remember just patrolling alot before the DB dropped

I was there, and I loved it

Even if it was, your Levels /Light would be capped.

  • SuicidalFrog151 LV.3 Lurker Jan 18, 2019, 08:22 PM

Why, I mean, like what reasoning do they have for doing that?

  • StormbladeX69 (XBL) verified LV.25 Shadow Jan 18, 2019, 08:23 PM

You understand they are a company and have to pay people?

  • StormbladeX69 (XBL) verified LV.25 Shadow Jan 19, 2019, 02:31 AM

Maybe that will change in the future. I'd like them to move to a Warframe model.

  • SuicidalFrog151 LV.3 Lurker Jan 19, 2019, 02:32 AM

Don’t know what that is, never have tried warframe, and rn I’m eyeing Anthem

  • StormbladeX69 (XBL) verified LV.25 Shadow Jan 19, 2019, 02:35 AM

Try it sometime. It's free. Yes you can buy stuff, but you can also grind for almost anything, and you can farm Prime parts for yourself or to trade them to other Tenno (players) for Platinum, which is their equivalent of Silver. If you do buy stuff it's Direct Purchase and you know what you are getting. I'm also getting Anthem.

Me being me I thought I was buying just the expansions and ended up buying the entire game again
