One of the best time wasters I've played, my biggest problem though is that you have to me *into* it. As soon as you start to let yourself slide away the game becomes EXTREMELY hard to get back into.
The game is amazing, it’s hard at first because you’re new but you get better and start to learn as you go on, a game that’s not for everyone but my 11 year old sister beat the whole game playing legit without the Defender armor. 10/10 game, play the old ones if you haven’t because they’re just as amazing if not more.
it's a fun game if you've played the other games think 4 ultimate but 30 times better if your new let me know and I'll help you through the game
I did put effort into the game, but I just couldn't find anything I would enjoy. Especially knowing that the best way to play the game is with friends and with DLCs.
This being my first monster hunter game i came in very skeptical and with a lot of doubts about this game. I currently have about 50+ hours into the game and have a lot more to go but I have to say this game is addicting. It is a very beautiful looking game that delivers a good challenge and a good grind that will satisfy those craving and grindy experience. It is definitely not for everyone but if you get the chance please try it out and who knows maybe you'll end up loving the game as i have and many others
If you like the feeling of accomplishment then this game is for you, also if you like tearing up monsters with only a sword then this is also for you
Best game ever, best genre ever, if your any less than 5 stars, the. You play shooter games most likely like a follower, not a leader.
Pretty fun but definitely not top tier like other games but it’s still worth playing
good game all in all love the series, but mhw is a good take on them trying to make a more open environment, just wish the water monsters are more like the older water monsters where you had to go under the water to fight them
fantastic game however I found myself extremely bored after about 2 months and not wanting to go back maybe it would have been different with friends? still great game so 5 out of 5
I love this game. It’s so fun. It’s definitely a challenge if you’re playing by yourself, though.
I loved it just because I needed a break from the typical games I play. Its great
New on here and I own Monster hunter world/Iceborne Looking for a few players to play! PS4 PSN: Undeadxmilitia0
The game is a lot better with a good group of friends/squad to play with. I really appreciate the new content they always give for free as well.
I love this game so much, they need to make more content but it’s still awesome!
Really a great game. Base game is worth the 30 bucks as of this writing. Iceborne is 100 worth the purchase also. Both sides have a great story, good music, crisp graphics, and controls are a little odd but you do get used to it after awhile. Fun while solo more fun with friends.
All round a very solid game with a lot to offer, it's definitely better experienced with friends and the game kept me invested (still does) ever since I bought it. I have played a good amount of the game, and I am still experiencing new things the game still has to offer. The atmosphere, music, sound design, art design game mechanics are all amazing and coincide with eachother perfectly. But the load times are a pain and the game is super grindy (unless you enjoy that kinda thing, you do you)
I love the game. I love the challenge it presents and just when the game was about to dull out for me Iceborne released. Iceborne is amazing and if you are skeptic about getting it, do it.
i think the game is great the fighting can get a little annoying if you dont no how to use you weapons i seguest looking up how to use the weapons if you dont youight end up like my friends and fall out of it cause you dont no how to fight
@stormzycrayon Maybe u should use a hard weapon to use and obviously they are delayed but not as much as ur crushes reply
Love this game with all my heart, 1000+ hours, one of my most favorite games of all time and with the edition of Iceborne and the free title updates, it keeps the interest flowing. The story was pretty good, not the best, but still pretty good. Favorite monster is Namielle. SERIOUS HANDLER BAE, too bad shes only there for a couple missions. But with all else said, I can’t wait for more updates to the game adding more monsters and gear and quests to run. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
@Pocchi This also applies as a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne review. Oh and it kind of sucks that I have a 500 character review limit right now because I’d I could write more then I would.
The story is very immersive, while still having you wonder what will happen next. The graphics are stunning and vivid where you gasp. This game is definitely worth the buy and worth the time you will put into it.
Stunning game with great gameplay and a good story to get into slaying all the creatures BUT no diversity it is fight after fight and the grind for new stuff.
Controls are razor tight in combat, but when im walking around it feels kinda slippery
This game is quite fun but it can also get quite repetitive. The environments and character creation are beautiful, and the levelling is challenging and progressive. My main fault to this game is that after a while, nothing really seems new. Additionally, the expansion is quite expensive
Favorite game since the franchise started on Nintendo DS. Game is great, graphics is cool, multiplayer and single player is reliable and fun. Overall a great game!
Great game just not my cup of tea. Monster hunter world is my 3rd monster hunter game although I enjoyed the games thus far I just don't think it's for me though I 100% recommend this game for any new comers or fans of the series
Picked the game up last Christmas on sale, and haven’t looked back since. I’ll usually get a new game and be through everything I want out of the game within a week or so. The sheer amount of content is staggering and confusing at first, but I loved every minute of figuring it out. Iceborne was icing on the cake. An expansion almost the same size of the base game with a new tier of difficulty. I simply can’t get over the amount of content for the cost of the game. Definitely worth trying.
Big fan of the series and it is the best in the series in my opinion. i could see how it wouldnt be a game for everyone though.
The game is very beautiful, challenging, and fun with friends. It’s got lots to offer and can keep you around for a long time trying to earn new stuff. I kind of wish the maps were more open/traversable, it’s hard to describe what I don’t like about them but nonetheless they look great. Playing with different weapons gives you different play styles and my absolute favorite is the mobility of an insect glaive. Should give it a shot but sometimes difficulty isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
it's a really good game for beginning hunters a lot of things have changed since the older games but then again I think this game is ment for beginners the reason I don't give this a five star is that I wished they offered in game help Luke other hunters npc that can help you but then again it's not tradition for monster hunters to do that pretty good game other wise
Monster hunter has always had a niche spot among video games. Be it its grind, "bulky" combat, or lack of deeper meaning amongst a rpg rich AAA landscape, Monster hunter: World is capcom's answer and pseudo-introduction into the western market. Bringing a fresh take to many series mechanics while at the same time blending in traditional elements to games that reach such scale,(i.e free exploration and fast travel) World's impact on the west is more than obvious. It quickly became capcom's best selling game, and has recently rolled out its first major dlc, expanding its 2 year long life, where other contemporary multiplayer titles have seemed to crash and burn withing there first year of launch(see Anthem and fallout 76). If its longevity and sales aren't indicative enough, I recommend trying it out for yourself. Play alone, or with friends, min max a build for all 14 weapons, or play to style your hunter out. I'll admit, the combat and gameplay loop isnt for everyone, and monster hunter games do have notoriously slow starts, but you'll never know until you try it. I'm currently pushing 1k hours due to the iceborne dlc and play sporadically these days, but still, 1000 hours.
I had fun with this game for a bit but then it just got boring, ig it was bc i was by myself, but i would definitely give it a try on sale.
